Harry Potter's Bastard
Chapter 427
The next morning, Harry was the first to wake up in the dormitory. He lay on the bed for a while, watching the dust whirl and dance in the sunlight that peeked through the cracks in the curtain of the four-poster bed, and remembered with joy that it was Saturday. The first week of the new semester was too long, and it seemed like there would never be an end. It's like an endless history of magic lesson.
There was a sleeping silence all around, and the rays of sunlight seemed to have just been created, and it seemed that the sky was still just dawning. Harry pulled back the curtains around the bed and began to get up and get dressed.
Harry glanced at Ron's terrible sleeping appearance and couldn't help but shake his head, yesterday's Quidditch selection was not ideal, but for some reason, Harry, as the captain of Gryffindor, still recruited Ron, as well as Ginny. Harry had to admit that Ginny was more of a Weasley than Ron - Harry didn't know how Bill flew, but Charlie and the twins flew great, and Ginny flew not bad, but Ron ......
Harry's scars had started to hurt again last night, in fact, his scars had hurt from time to time since Voldemort's return, though Harry rarely discussed them to others. He decided to talk to the person he trusted the most.
He carefully opened his bag, trying not to make a sound, and pulled out his parchment and quill as Harry left the dormitory and headed for the common room. Beside the extinguished fire, his favorite fluffy old armchair, Harry sat comfortably, unfolding the parchment and surveying the room. At the end of a day, the common room is littered with parchment balls, worn tall stones, empty jars, and candy wrappers, all of which are now gone, thanks to the house-elves at Hogwarts. Thinking of the house-elves, Harry thought of Solim again, and if it weren't for Solim, maybe he would have had a "vomit" badge on his chest right now.
As he thought so, he opened the lid of the inkwell, dipped his quill in it, dipped it, and let the tip of it hang an inch on the smooth, yellowed parchment, and pondered, until after a minute or two he found himself staring at the empty fireplace, not knowing what to write.
How could he tell Sirius everything that had happened this past week, and ask all the questions he couldn't wait to ask, without allowing the would-be thief to get a lot of information he didn't want them to know? He sat motionless for a moment, staring at the fireplace with his eyes engrossed, and then he finally made up his mind, dipped his quill in an inkwell, and wrote decisively on the parchment.
Dear Cold,
I hope you're doing well, the first week back here was terrible and I'm so glad it's finally the weekend.
We have a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Umbridge. She's almost as good as your mother. I am writing to you today because the incident I wrote to tell you about last summer came up again last night, and we all miss our greatest friend and hope that he will return soon.
Harry read the letter several times, trying to examine it from an outsider's perspective. He felt that by reading the letter alone, an outsider would never know what he was talking about or who he was talking to. He wished Sirius could read the hint about Hagrid and tell them when Hagrid would return. Harry didn't want to ask directly, fearing that he would draw too much attention and wonder what Hagrid would be doing without Hogwarts.
The letter was short, and the time taken was long in comparison. As he was writing, the sun was slowly shining into the middle of the room, and now he could faintly hear the movement in the dormitory upstairs. He carefully sealed the parchment, crawled through the hole in the portrait, and went straight to the owl's shack.
Now that the sun was high in the sky, Harry walked into the shack with glassless windows that shook his eyes. Streams of dazzling sunlight crisscrossed the circular room, and hundreds of owls perched on the rafters, a little restless in the morning light, a few of them apparently fresh from hunting outside. Harry craned his neck to look for Hedwig's figure, the crunching sound of the straw-covered ground creaking with tiny pieces of animal bones under his feet.
"You're there. He said, seeing Hedwig near the very top of the vaulted ceiling, "Come down, I have a letter for you." "
Hedwig let out a low cry and spread her huge white wings and flew down to land on his shoulder. "Yes, I know it's written 'cold'," Harry said to it, holding it in his mouth as he held the letter to him, and then, for some reason, he lowered his voice again, "but for Sirius, understand?" Hedwig blinked her amber eyes, which Harry knew meant it understood.
"Then I wish you a safe journey. Harry said, carrying it to a window. Hedwig kicked his arm hard and leapt to his feet, flying out into the clear clear sky outside. He kept his eyes on it until it became a small black dot and disappeared completely, and then he turned his gaze to Hagrid's cabin, from which he could see it clearly, but the chimney was not smoking, the curtains were drawn tightly, and it was evident that it was still uninhabited.
Hagrid still doesn't seem to be back at Hogwarts. Where would he go? Harry wanted to get some news about Hagrid from Sirius, and hoped that Hagrid would be back before then.
Harry was about to leave when the door to the owl's hut behind him suddenly opened. He jumped up in surprise, turned around sharply, and saw Qiu Zhang holding a letter and a package in his hand.
"Hello. Harry said subconsciously. Harry had always had a strange affection for the Oriental girl - unlike the Pettier sisters.
"Oh??Hello. "I didn't expect someone to come up so early, I just remembered five minutes ago that today was my mother's birthday." "
Harry was about to say a few more words to Qiu Zhang, but he stopped when he saw the figure behind Qiu Zhang.
"Cedric?"
"Oh, it's you, Harry. Cedric said hello.
Yes, Cedric is not dead, and Akihari and he are still in a relationship.
"You guys ......," Harry regretted not coming up in the Cloak of Invisibility.
"Oh, my girlfriend she's going to send a package, I'll accompany her up. Cedric smiled and said, "We'll go down and eat together later." "
Harry suddenly thought it would be nice if Cedric had been with them that night...... Harry was startled by the sudden thought in his head, and he couldn't tolerate such a dirty thought that popped into his head.
Just as Harry was about to leave, Cedric stopped him again.
"Harry. Cedric was much more serious, "There's something I'd like to ask you, it's about last semester......"
