Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#114 - Chapter 114: Want to punch me in the chest?

Four different colored spells appeared instantly, hitting the opposing Queen almost simultaneously.

Unfortunately, only Harry's Disarming Charm knocked the scepter out of the Queen's hand; the other three spells had no effect.

"The Stunning Spell doesn't work!" Malfoy shouted, "Don't use the Stunning Spell anymore."

"The Petrification Charm doesn't work either," Hermione discovered, realizing that not all spells were effective.

"The Disarming Charm works," Harry said, his voice filled with excitement, "Use the Disarming Charm, let's knock all the weapons out of their hands first."

Ron was just about to switch to the Disarming Charm when he saw the attacked Queen slowly moving towards the knight he represented.

Although the Queen no longer held her scepter, she still raised her fists high, fiercely slamming them down at Ron.

"Merlin's socks!" Ron yelled, leaping off the stone horse to dodge the attack.

Boom!

With a loud crash, the stone horse was smashed to pieces by the Queen's fists, shattered stones flying everywhere, stinging Ron.

Fortunately, after this attack, the Queen's arms were also shattered, greatly reducing her threat for the moment.

"Ron, come join us," Harry called out while quickly surveying the surroundings.

He noticed that the shattered chess pieces outside the board were showing signs of healing, which startled him, and he quickly shouted to Malfoy.

"Malfoy, get on the board quickly, or the fallen pieces will revive."

Malfoy was so frightened by this change that he couldn't speak, and quickly stepped onto the chessboard.

Fortunately, after he stood on the board, the shattered chess pieces stopped healing.

However, before they could breathe a sigh of relief, they noticed that all the remaining enemy pieces had started to move.

"Everyone, don't panic, our pieces aren't attacking us, so there are only five opponents."

Harry shouted while using the Disarming Charm on the moving pieces, trying to minimize their threat.

"No, we need some powerful spells!" Malfoy said, his throat hoarse with anxiety.

After discovering that none of his spells worked, Malfoy completely lost his composure.

Although his strength was already considered outstanding among his peers, he was still just a first-year wizard, and the power of his spells was simply not high enough.

"Do you guys know the Exploding Charm?" Malfoy wracked his brains, thinking of a powerful spell.

"No!" Ron roared at Malfoy, "It's all your bad idea, saying we should brute force our way through, and now we haven't even broken a single piece."

"If we had done it my way, we would have won by now, but now, our best result is just restarting the game."

"Stop arguing!" Hermione scolded sharply, "Don't disturb my thinking!"

The chess pieces here should have been left by Professor McGonagall using Transfiguration, ordinary spells simply won't work on them.

The Petrification Charm doesn't work because these chess pieces are made of stone.

The Stunning Spell doesn't work because these chess pieces don't have consciousness and can't be stunned.

The ropes released by the Binding Spell would be easily stretched open on these chess pieces.

Now it seems that Transfiguration is indeed the nemesis of most spells!

Unfortunately, the Exploding Charm that Malfoy mentioned is an advanced spell, and none of them knew it.

What to do?

Without powerful spells, it would be really difficult to defeat these chess pieces.

Hermione was extremely anxious, she noticed that Harry had rushed forward, relying on his flexible movements to buy time for everyone.

This is not a solution!

Although the opponents' weapons had all been knocked away, they seemed less dangerous.

But the chessboard is only so big, Harry will be cornered by them sooner or later.

Hermione forced herself to calm down, constantly thinking about what spells could improve the situation.

Don't panic!

Professor Flitwick had mentioned the mutual reinforcement and restraint of spells, so there must be ordinary spells that could work on these chess pieces.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up, and she remembered a spell from the book.

"Harry, Ron, Malfoy, there's a simple spell—the Knockback Jinx, do you know it?"

After seeing the three of them shake their heads, Hermione's voice became a little urgent.

"I've only seen the casting gestures and incantation of the Knockback Jinx in books, I've never used it before, what should I do?"

"Hermione! Try it boldly, I can hold on for a while longer! These chess pieces aren't that agile."

"Yeah, Hermione! You're the smartest witch I've ever seen," Ron encouraged loudly, "You can definitely succeed, I believe in your ability to learn on your own."

Malfoy didn't say anything, just looked at Hermione intently, and at the same time, he made up his mind that he must learn more spells when he got back.

Hearing the encouragement from her friends, Hermione closed her eyes, simulating the spell over and over again in her mind.

The wand movement was very simple, just point it firmly at the target.

The key is the incantation, you have to concentrate, you have to believe that you can succeed!

Hermione silently recited the incantation twice in her mind, and opened her eyes after confirming that it was correct.

Her gaze became sharp, looking at a knight chess piece besieging Harry, she raised the wand in her hand.

"Full Knockback!"

As soon as she finished speaking, a faint red light shot out from Hermione's wand, hitting the knight.

Bang!

With a loud noise, the knight seemed to be hit by an invisible force, and its entire body instantly rose into the air, flying backwards several meters, and falling heavily on the ground outside the chessboard.

Looking at the knight flying off the chessboard, Harry and the others widened their eyes, they never expected that a small Knockback Jinx could produce such a great effect.

They stared intently at the knight lying on the ground, fearing that it would stand up again and return to the chessboard.

Crash!

The knight's body shattered, turning into a pile of rubble, and there was no sign of recovery.

"It worked!" Ron shouted happily, "Quick, Hermione, teach us how to do it."

"There are only four left, keep it up!" Harry dodged the opposing King's grabbing hand, and quickly ran to his companions.

Under Hermione's guidance, Harry and Malfoy quickly learned the spell, and each knocked away a chess piece before they were surrounded.

After failing once, Hermione successfully cast the Knockback Jinx again, knocking the opposing King off the chessboard.

For a time, only the Queen with broken arms was left on the chessboard, everyone's pressure was greatly reduced, and they all looked at Ron.

"Weasley, can you do it or not?" Malfoy took the opportunity to mock, "If you can't, hurry up and get out of the way, don't delay our progress."

"You're the one who can't!" Ron retorted, his face red.

"It just wanted to hit me in the chest with its little fists, I still have to settle the score with it!"

"Get out of the way, let me settle the grievances between me and the Queen!"

Ron silently recited the incantation again in his mind, aiming his wand at the slowly approaching Queen.

He felt that he would definitely succeed this time, so he took a deep breath and firmly shouted the incantation.

"Full Knockback!"
