Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#172 - Chapter 172 Congratulations on joining the Alchemy Club

Hearing Sebastian's instructions, the young wizards stopped what they were doing and looked at the works of their companions.

"Wow, your toy's shape is quite unique. How did you come up with this design?"

"Didn't the book say that if needed, you could change the appearance of the toy carriage according to your own imagination? That's why I thought of a pumpkin carriage."

"A pumpkin carriage?! Why does it look like a pile of poo? I thought you had such unique tastes."

"Get away from me. You have the nerve to talk about me? The wheels on your carriage are all different sizes. I'd like to see how you're going to present that later."

"Easy, I just won't present it. I've realized my hands are still a bit clumsy. I might not meet the requirements of the Alchemy Club."

While they were talking, a sixth-year Ravenclaw witch walked onto the stage and placed her toy on the desk.

Sebastian realized that she was one of the well-prepared young wizards, so he left the stage and gave it to her.

The young witch cleared her throat and confidently presented her work to everyone.

"Hello everyone, my toy carriage is modeled after the Hogwarts carriages."

Without needing much explanation, the young wizards below erupted in excitement.

"Merlin, how did she manage to recreate it one-to-one? That's amazing."

"Right? Look, her carriage even has windows, and the windows have glass. Even the patterns on the carriage are so accurately recreated. It's so detailed."

"That's too impressive. I even think she cast a shrinking charm on a real carriage and then used the shrunken carriage as a toy."

"Help, is this the power of a top student? I guess I'm not really suited for the Alchemy Club."

"Senior, you're so amazing! Can you be my girlfriend!"

Amidst everyone's praise, the Ravenclaw witch demonstrated the start and stop functions of the toy carriage.

After receiving Sebastian's approval, she smiled and walked off the stage.

The second person to walk onto the stage wasn't an older student, but a second-year Hufflepuff student—Justin Finch-Fletchley.

To be honest, Sebastian had some impression of this name.

Before coming to Hogwarts, this child was a top student who was supposed to attend Eton College.

His mother was disappointed that he couldn't go to Eton College.

After all, if he weren't a wizard, he might have become a classmate of a British prince or a future prime minister.

His magical talent wasn't very strong, but after coming to Hogwarts, his grades were still above average.

Although this little guy was Muggle-born, he was more diligent than most pure-blood or half-blood young wizards.

Now it seemed that this child had some talent in alchemy.

At the very least, he had the necessary qualities to become an alchemist—dedication and patience.

His talent in alchemy might not reach the heights of Fred and George, but he could definitely become an excellent alchemist.

During the assessment just now, Justin failed many times, but his mentality remained stable. He kept improving his technique and finally completed the creation.

His toy carriage was unremarkable in appearance, but the start and stop functions were perfect.

Looking at Justin demonstrating on the stage, Sebastian's eyes were full of admiration.

This was a diamond in the rough, and he still needed to carefully polish it to reach a very high level.

Everyone was generous with their praise for Justin's performance.

"That kid is strong. It seems like he'll definitely have a place in the Alchemy Club."

"Nonsense, look around. Many people are still stuck on the step of engraving magical runes. Very few have completed the assembly."

"Indeed, look at the crooked and cracked mess in everyone's hands. I suspect that many people's carriages won't even move even if they are assembled."

Sebastian remained noncommittal to everyone's comments and just quietly watched the students present their works on stage.

However, just like the students were discussing, at most only half of the students who came today had reached the stage of assembling the carriage.

Among the students who successfully assembled their carriages, many had problems with the magical runes they had engraved, causing their toy carriages to not move at all.

Until the last student willing to go on stage finished his demonstration, Sebastian walked onto the stage and said to everyone with a smile.

"Just now, seven students' toy carriages can operate normally."

"Congratulations to you, you have successfully joined the Alchemy Club."

"Those who didn't make the cut don't need to be sad. You had the courage and interest to participate in the club selection, which is already very commendable."

"So, that set of alchemy tools is my gift to you. I hope you continue to maintain your interest in alchemy."

Sebastian couldn't recruit everyone into the Alchemy Club, so he could only encourage these students who were interested in alchemy to continue to maintain their interest.

After all, as long as they were interested in alchemy, they were potential employees of Swan Alchemy.

Sebastian encouraged: "To achieve something in alchemy, you need long-term love and perseverance, so don't be discouraged by temporary setbacks."

"To put it another way, even if you can't join the club now, don't give up."

"Secretly telling you, Hogwarts is likely to offer a new course next year—Alchemy Class, and you can still participate in this interesting subject then."

"In addition," Sebastian's voice rose a few notches, "I have donated a large number of alchemy books to the Hogwarts Library."

"If you are still interested, you can take the time to study on your own and then participate in next year's Alchemy Club selection."

"Continue to maintain your interest and curiosity in alchemy, and your efforts and enthusiasm will surely be rewarded in the future."

"It's getting late, everyone is dismissed. Those who passed the selection, stay behind for a short meeting."

Soon, only the seven students who had passed the selection and the twin brothers who were assistant teachers were left in the classroom.

Sebastian beckoned, "Sit closer, I'll talk about the arrangements for the Alchemy Club."

"In this coming school year, I plan to personally lead everyone to complete a large alchemy project."

Fred and George looked at each other, both able to see the excitement in each other's eyes.

Interesting!

Professor Swan personally leading the alchemy project, the difficulty must be very high.

You should know that when refining the Marauder's Map, Professor Swan was only responsible for answering questions, and the rest was up to the two of them to explore on their own.

They couldn't wait to learn new alchemy knowledge with the professor.

Fred immediately said: "Professor, what alchemy project? It actually requires you to do it yourself."

Meeting everyone's expectant gazes, Sebastian said with a smile.

"Before I start explaining the project, I want to ask everyone a question."

"Do you think there can be two people in the world with exactly the same magic power?"
