Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#190 - Chapter 190 The Hibernating Basilisk is the Good Basilisk

Snape arrived first, wearing his signature black robes as always.

He greeted Sebastian with a blank expression, then stood by the pipe entrance, constantly examining the dark opening.

Unlike his expression, his heart was not so calm.

To be honest, he never expected Sebastian to actually lead the students to find the Chamber of Secrets.

That was a mystery that had been passed down for thousands of years, and if it were that simple, it would have been discovered long ago.

Snape glanced at Sebastian, muttering to himself.

This stinky swan really has some skills.

I wonder how smug he's going to be next.

Snape already foresaw Sebastian inviting all sorts of media to report on this matter extensively.

Just then, Professor McGonagall arrived, saying with a shocked expression.

"Sebastian, is this the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets? What do you need me to do?"

Sebastian went up to her: "Professor McGonagall, more and more students are gathering outside."

"Please maintain order here to prevent students from jumping into this hole out of curiosity."

"As for the Chamber of Secrets left by Slytherin, let Severus and I, the two Slytherin professors, handle it."

As he spoke, he extended an invitation to Snape: "Severus, want to go take a look?"

Snape remained noncommittal and jumped into the pipe first.

Heh—

What an impatient fellow.

Sebastian followed closely, jumping into the hole and using the Levitation Charm to control his descent.

After twisting and turning several times, they arrived at a flat ground.

It was pitch black all around. Snape cast the Lumos charm, constantly examining everything around him.

He said in a flat tone: "I didn't expect that there would be such a place under Hogwarts Castle."

"This should be under the Black Lake, at least several miles deep. No wonder the predecessors never found the Chamber of Secrets."

Sebastian casually cast a Scourgify on himself: "The real Chamber of Secrets should be ahead. Let's hurry up and deal with it so we can go back to eat."

Looking at the dark tunnel in front of him, Sebastian gently opened his Undetectable Extension Charm bag and took out many magical lamps.

With a wave of his wand, the lamps seemed to receive some kind of instruction and flew forward in the direction of the tunnel.

Every few meters, the lamps automatically attached to the top of the tunnel, hanging steadily there.

The magical lamps lit up one by one, emitting a soft white light, quickly dispelling the surrounding darkness.

Every inch of the tunnel walls was revealed in the light, and the original eerie atmosphere disappeared without a trace, leaving no secrets to be found.

"You're quite well-prepared," Snape couldn't help but retort.

"Haha, exploring underground. How can I not be well-prepared?" Sebastian smiled slightly.

"I've been waiting for this day for a long time."

Snape curled his lips almost imperceptibly and walked forward.

This stinky swan is showing off again.

I'll ignore him and see how he has the nerve to perform a one-man show.

The two walked along the tunnel. Suddenly, Snape stopped. His gaze was attracted by a huge shed skin.

The shed skin was a faint green color, covered with scales. Each scale shimmered, obviously left behind by a huge snake.

Snape walked closer, frowning as he carefully examined the shed skin: "This is the Basilisk's shed skin... It seems that this Basilisk is much larger than I imagined."

"Sebastian, logically speaking, even a huge Basilisk shouldn't pose any threat to you. Why did you call me here?"

"You are the Head of Slytherin," Sebastian nudged Snape with his elbow, saying with a gleeful expression.

"How could you be absent from an adventure in the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets? How about it, am I a good buddy?"

"Besides, it would be boring for me to come down here alone. I always need someone to witness it."

"I thought about it, and you're the most suitable person in the entire Hogwarts. Who else would I ask if not you?"

As he spoke, Sebastian put the Basilisk's shed skin into his Undetectable Extension Charm bag: "This is a top-notch alchemy material. We can't waste it."

"Later, when we catch the Basilisk, I'll let you take some of its materials first."

"Oh," a look of surprise appeared on Snape's face, "You're planning to kill the Basilisk?"

"Kill it?" Sebastian looked at Snape in surprise, as if he were looking at a spendthrift.

Snape instantly understood Sebastian's gaze. Veins popped out on his forehead. Just as he was about to say something, Sebastian interrupted him.

"Your economic sense is really something... This is likely the only Basilisk existing in the world."

"If we kill it directly, it would be a huge waste."

"Come, come, let me teach you what sustainable development is."

Ignoring Snape's face, which was as dark as the bottom of a pot, Sebastian continued: "The Basilisk has been in the depths of Hogwarts for nearly a thousand years, and it hasn't had many good days."

"You've seen it. The road is full of bones of small animals. I guess it's never been full."

"I'm going to take it away and let it have a few comfortable days."

"In exchange, it's not too much to periodically take some venom, blood, and shed skin, right?"

Snape sneered, "If it were a few decades earlier, someone like you would have been hung on a lamppost."

"Stop talking nonsense," Sebastian said disdainfully, "Are you going to want some venom and blood periodically or not?"

The two mocked each other and arrived at a stone wall with several intertwined snakes carved on it.

"Please, Professor Swan," Snape said, looking on with amusement, "Please let the Potions Professor broaden his horizons and see how to open this wall."

Heh heh—

You want to see me make a fool of myself? No way.

Sebastian stepped forward and, imitating Harry, hissed at the snake carvings.

To Snape's surprise, the snake carvings on the wall began to twist, and the stone wall slowly opened and disappeared.

Sebastian was about to go in when Snape stopped him: "Sebastian, the Basilisk's eyes are very deadly. Have you thought about how to deal with it?"

"Simple, I can handle it with my eyes closed," Sebastian smiled confidently, "Don't forget my magical talent."

"Severus, stay here. I'll be right back."

With that, Sebastian closed his eyes and walked inside, relying on his powerful magical senses.

As he walked, he released his magic into the room, announcing his arrival to the Basilisk lurking in the darkness.

Sensing this powerful aura, the Basilisk immediately awoke from the depths of the chamber.

"Enemy... Kill..."

Its huge body began to squirm, assuming an attacking posture, and swam towards Sebastian.

However, just as the Basilisk swam a few meters, two beams of magic flew through the air at lightning speed, accurately hitting its deadly eyes.

Oculus Reparo!

The intense pain caused the Basilisk to let out a deafening roar, then instinctively closed its eyes, its massive body writhing in pain in the chamber.

At this moment, the temperature in the room plummeted, and a chill rushed in like a tide. Traces of frost quickly covered the Basilisk's entire body.

In the blink of an eye, the huge creature was tightly wrapped in a thick layer of ice, forming a giant ice sculpture, leaving only its large snake head exposed.

He used magic to firmly attach the blindfold to the Basilisk's eyes, tightly sealed, leaving no gaps, completely isolating the Basilisk from visual contact with the outside world.

Then, hundreds of bottles of Draught of Living Death flew out of his Undetectable Extension Charm bag, aiming at the Basilisk's giant mouth, pouring every drop into its throat.

After a smooth series of combos, Sebastian forcibly put the Basilisk into hibernation mode.

Sebastian opened his eyes, circling the Basilisk with satisfaction. Then, he came outside the chamber and waved to Snape.

"Severus, come on, it's harvest time."

"Let's find the inheritance left by Slytherin together."
