Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#230 - Chapter 230 Is there a magic wand that I can’t make?

Sebastian stood on the cobblestones of Diagon Alley, looking up at the sign of Ollivanders.

The shop's sign was mottled and old, as if it had been baptized by countless years.

The twisted golden letters shimmered slightly in the sunlight, as if greeting every wizard about to step into the magical world.

[Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C.]

Pushing open the old wooden door, the wind chimes on the door rang softly, emitting a long, drawn-out tinkling sound, and a faint smell of dust and old wood immediately wafted from inside the store.

Looking around, the furnishings inside Ollivanders shop were still the same, with hundreds and thousands of rectangular wooden boxes piled on the surrounding shelves, each containing a wand, waiting for the next destined person to arrive.

With school about to start, most of the young wizards had already finished their shopping, and the shop seemed particularly deserted.

Just as Sebastian was sizing up the shop, Ollivander quietly walked out from behind the shelves.

His appearance was as ancient as the shop, with a thin body, a head full of gray hair, and eyes hidden in deep eye sockets, like shining glass beads.

Although no longer young, his movements were still agile, and his eyes were still sharp.

As soon as he saw Sebastian, he revealed a hint of a smile: "Mr. Swan, it's been a long time."

"I still remember the wand you bought the first time you came to the store."

Ollivander's voice was soft and low.

"Twelve inches, vine wood, a very rare material in wands, its owner always has lofty pursuits and extraordinary vision."

"Dragon heartstring, a powerful core, capable of casting remarkable and gorgeous magic."

"It was one of my masterpieces when I was young, and I always looked forward to someone worthy of it buying it."

Ollivander looked at Sebastian with a smile: "I am very happy that it followed you and shone brightly in your hands."

"What would you like to buy today, a wand care kit? Or would you like me to check the health of your wand?"

"Thank you for your praise, Mr. Ollivander, please take a look at my wand first."

Sebastian smiled slightly and handed over his wand.

Ollivander carefully took the wand, as if touching a precious work of art.

He gently stroked the surface of the wand with his fingertips, carefully examined it for a while, and then nodded slightly.

"Your wand is in good condition, healthy and strong, however, it seems to have released extremely powerful spells, causing it to suffer a little damage."

"But it doesn't matter, give me half an hour, and I can restore it to its original state, and by the way, give your wand a full set of care, what do you think?"

"Okay, no problem, I'll just wait here for a while."

Sebastian smiled slightly and agreed to Ollivander's request.

He was very comfortable using this wand, and since it was damaged, it should be repaired as soon as possible.

Ollivander's craftsmanship was extremely superb, and in a short while, he handed the repaired wand to Sebastian.

After repair and care, the entire wand was as bright as new, with a faint glow on the surface.

"Mr. Ollivander, your craftsmanship is still so superb."

After waving it gently a couple of times, Sebastian casually put the wand into the wand holster, and then looked at Ollivander.

"Actually, I'm here today because I want to buy another new wand."

A new wand?

Ollivander said suspiciously: "Your wand is in perfect condition now, and it was extremely cheerful in your hands just now, without any signs of mismatch."

"Why buy a new wand?"

Sebastian's expression became serious: "It's perfect, but sometimes it can't withstand the magic fluctuations when I cast spells with all my strength."

"Whenever I cast powerful spells, I can feel its pain and its faint wails."

Ollivander's expression instantly became extremely shocked, he looked at Sebastian in disbelief, as if doubting that he had heard wrong.

"Can't withstand your magic? That's unbelievable! If your magic has exceeded its limit, then you do need a more powerful wand."

Ollivander nodded and turned to walk towards the shelf: "There are many factors to consider when choosing a wand for an adult wizard, but it doesn't matter, at Ollivanders shop, you can always find a wand that meets your needs."

"Mr. Ollivander," Sebastian interrupted, "my situation is a bit special."

"So, I don't want to just pick a ready-made wand. I need you to tailor-make one for me that can fully carry my power."

A special situation?

Ollivander hesitated: "I rarely take custom wand orders, not to mention that it's time-consuming and laborious, the customized wands are also not very stable, and often can't perfectly match the owner of the wand."

"Just like I said, the wand chooses the wizard."

"But I know that, looking at the entire magical world, only you can meet my needs."

Sebastian complimented.

"More than two thousand years of ancient heritage, if I don't look for you, I wouldn't know who to look for."

Hearing Sebastian's words, Ollivander was so happy that he couldn't close his mouth, and immediately changed his tune.

"The Ollivander family is the most outstanding wand-making family in the world."

"I bet no one knows wands better than me."

"You've come to the right person for this job!"

"Tell me first, what's so special about your situation, so that I can accurately help you design a brand new wand."

Sebastian smiled slightly and took out a magic contract: "Mr. Ollivander, to be on the safe side, I need you to sign a confidentiality agreement first."

"Forgive my offense, to be honest, I can't be sure that you will be able to customize a wand that satisfies me based on my special circumstances."

"Don't worry, after hearing about my situation, whether you are willing to help me customize a wand or not, you will receive a large sum of Galleons."

So mysterious?

And you have to sign a confidentiality agreement?

Ollivander frowned slightly, his heart full of doubts and unwillingness.

I don't believe that there is a wand that I, Ollivander, can't customize.

Attracted by curiosity and Galleons, Ollivander nodded and signed his name on the magic contract.

Sebastian looked at the flow of people outside the shop, and then turned to Ollivander and said: "I need a secret place to show you my specialness."

Ollivander took Sebastian to the workshop behind the shop, turned on the magic lamp, and looked at Sebastian.

After ensuring that no one was disturbing them, Sebastian took a light breath, and amazing changes began to happen around him.

His arms lengthened, his shoulders became wider, and black scales protruded from under his skin, covering his entire body.

In the blink of an eye, a majestic dragon-human form was displayed in front of Ollivander.

Ollivander was dumbfounded, his jaw almost dropped to the ground, his lips opened and closed but he couldn't make any sound.

His fingers trembled as he stroked his forehead, his eyes filled with unbelievable shock and excitement.

"Merlin's wand ah... this... this is simply..."

"Incredible, what kind of magical creature form is this, a dragon?"

"No wonder you want to customize a new wand."

"Sebastian."

Ollivander grabbed Sebastian's hands and said excitedly.

"I don't want the Galleons, but you have to guarantee that you will let me personally make a brand new wand for you, and you can't go to anyone else."

"The making of this wand will be the greatest challenge of my life!"
