Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#297 - Chapter 297 Why Are They All Targeting Banban?

While Harry and his friends were fighting Sirius, one person, or rather, one rat, was particularly happy—Peter Pettigrew.

Today was a thrilling day for him.

He had almost starved to death last week, barely managing to survive until Sebastian returned, only to be sent by Harry and his friends to Hagrid for treatment.

But he never expected to see Sirius in his black dog form at Hagrid's hut.

This scared Peter half to death.

Under the stimulation of fear, his back stopped aching, his legs stopped hurting, and he no longer felt weak all over.

His body burst forth with infinite energy, and he began desperately seeking a way to escape.

However, Sebastian's cage was too sturdy, and he had no chance of escaping.

Fortunately, the cage was sturdy enough that after Sirius took him deep into the Forbidden Forest, he managed to escape from Sirius's mouth and waited for Harry and his friends.

Peter's mood rose and fell, like riding a broomstick.

Therefore, when he saw Harry and his friends fighting Sirius, he excitedly cheered them on from inside the cage.

"Fight! It would be best to beat Sirius's dog brains out!"

Peter didn't think Sirius could easily defeat these three children.

Before Ron sold him to Sebastian, he had personally witnessed how powerful these three children were.

Especially Harry, that young man had grown rapidly under Sebastian's training.

In Peter's eyes, Harry's strength was stronger than when they, the Marauders, were in school.

Therefore, he had great confidence in Harry and his friends, and he even thought that Sirius might stumble in the hands of these three little guys.

Sure enough, the most exciting thing for him happened.

Sirius was defeated and firmly tied to a tree!

Harry didn't disappoint him either, not listening to Sirius's explanation and directly launching a deadly attack.

He lay on the cage, staring at Sirius with bright eyes, waiting for his death to arrive.

"Great, as long as Sirius, the insider, dies, I'll be completely safe."

Just as Peter was about to cheer, the spoiler arrived.

Lupin, transformed into a werewolf, descended from the sky, blocking Harry's attack and saving Sirius's life.

Damn Lupin, why did he come?!

And in werewolf form, isn't he afraid of scaring the children at school?

No public spirit!

Peter cursed inwardly, but he still obediently lay in the corner of the cage, fearing that he would be noticed.

However, Lupin's first sentence sent him into an ice cave.

"Where is he?"

Is "he" referring to himself?

Damn it, how did Lupin know of his existence!

Peter didn't dare to breathe loudly, and his whole person fell into deep despair.

Compared to Peter's apprehension and despair, Harry and his friends were deeply puzzled.

Harry stared blankly at Lupin, not knowing why he blocked his attack, nor what his words meant.

"Sirius," Lupin ignored everyone's thoughts, only staring at Sirius, as if trying to see through his thoughts, "Why hasn't he shown himself all this time? Is it..."

Lupin paused, saying each word carefully, "You changed the Secret-Keeper without telling me?"

Changed the Secret-Keeper?

What are you talking about?

"Professor Lupin," Harry questioned loudly, "What exactly is this..."

Before he could finish speaking, Harry's words were completely stuck in his throat.

He saw Black nod, and then Lupin tore off the ropes on his body, freeing that bastard from his restraints.

Harry felt himself tremble all over, not because of fear, but because of anger.

"Professor Lupin," he shouted at Lupin, "I've always trusted you so much!"

"Why?"

"Why help Black?!"

"Harry," Lupin turned around, sighing softly, "There's actually a misunderstanding here."

"I originally firmly believed that Sirius was the one who betrayed your parents. But tonight, I saw Peter Pettigrew's name on the Marauder's Map."

"I began to suspect that Sirius wasn't the Secret-Keeper, but that Peter betrayed your parents."

Peter?

How is that possible!

Harry couldn't help but roar in rebuttal, "Lies!"

"Last year on my birthday, you told me yourself that Sirius betrayed my parents, leading to their deaths."

"I remember clearly, after you finished speaking, Aunt Mia, Professor Swann, and Hagrid didn't refute it."

"And you also told me personally that Peter Pettigrew died, killed by this man in front of me."

Thinking of the scene from his birthday last year, Harry's eyes filled with tears, he ignored Lupin and looked at Sirius with hatred.

Looking at Harry's hateful gaze, Sirius looked pained, forcing himself to explain.

"Harry, Peter and I temporarily changed the Secret-Keeper's identity. For secrecy, only me, your father, and Peter knew about it."

"And Peter isn't dead either," Sirius looked at the rat in the cage with a devouring gaze, "I've caught him!"

Wormtail?!

Looking at the motionless rat that seemed dead, Harry's mind was a little dazed.

That's right, no one had thought that Scabbers could be an Animagus.

No wonder the black dog's gaze towards Scabbers was full of hatred.

Hermione also thought of the answer, she reached out and covered her wide mouth, her face full of disbelief.

Ron also understood what Sirius was trying to say.

"You're not saying that Scabbers is Peter Pettigrew, are you? How is that possible? He's my pet, I've had him for many years."

"Scabbers is really pitiful, he used to be bullied by Fred and George at home, he was targeted by Hermione's cat at the beginning of this semester, and later he was abused by Professor Swann's experiments, and now he's even being falsely accused of being the culprit who killed Harry's parents."

"This world is too ridiculous, everyone has to target my rat."

Subconsciously, Ron felt that what Sirius was saying was true, but he couldn't accept this answer.

He and Scabbers had lived intimately together for many years, eating together, bathing together, and even going to the toilet together.

Usually, he would secretly confide his emotions and grievances to Scabbers, after all, it was just a rat and wouldn't reveal his inner thoughts to others.

Suddenly, someone told him that this rat that had accompanied him for many years was actually a middle-aged man.

This kind of fact was simply unacceptable!

Could it be that he really treated Peter Pettigrew as a pet and slept with him in his arms for many years?!

Thinking that Black had also turned into a dog and played with him, Ron suddenly felt that he could no longer deceive himself.

In an instant, a nauseating feeling surged to his heart, and Ron bent over and vomited violently.

How could he be so unlucky, three pets in total, two of them turned out to be people.

It's too disgusting!

After vomiting, he raised his head and was about to say something when he suddenly felt a cold chill rising from his spine, instantly spreading throughout his body.

His whole person seemed to be fixed in place, unable to move, only able to point a trembling finger towards the people behind him.

"I think we should leave here first and find a safe place to discuss Scabbers's problem."
