Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#343 - Chapter 343 Tower Defense Game

The door opened, and Ron charged in first, only to be greatly disappointed by the sight before him.

Before his eyes, a pure white room appeared, completely empty, without even a single extra decoration.

"What's going on? Wasn't this supposed to be about protecting potatoes? Where are the potatoes?"

Seamus curiously touched the wall: "Is it possible we didn't open it the right way?"

Just then, Malfoy walked in last, and as soon as he closed the door, a comical voice echoed in the room.

"Potatoes! Potatoes!"

Accompanied by this voice, the entire room seemed to come alive.

The surrounding walls quickly became illusory, as if turning into a mist that gradually faded away, completely disappearing before anyone could react.

At the same time, the ceiling above slowly rose, seemingly breaking through the confines of the floor, gradually turning into a sky with a few white clouds floating in it.

The floor beneath their feet also changed, the hard stone slabs quietly disappearing, replaced by a patch of earth.

Several small houses slowly rose from the ground, exuding an old wooden feel, appearing around them.

In the blink of an eye, the five of them seemed to have traveled through time and space, standing in the center of an ancient village.

Fifty meters outside the village, there was a thick gray fog, with five small paths leading out from the village, heading straight into the fog.

Everyone was stunned by the transformation of the scene before them.

Ron was completely dumbfounded. He looked at the sky for a while, then scanned the surrounding village, his mouth open wide enough to swallow an egg.

"Is this... is this still Hogwarts? Where did we end up in the blink of an eye?"

"It's just like the real thing. How did Professor Slughorn do it? This is too cool!"

Malfoy, not bothering to argue with Ron, suddenly turned around and reached for the position of the door they had just entered, but his hand found nothing but empty space.

"The door is gone," he frowned slightly. "Is this the effect of the Undetectable Extension Charm? But what about the houses and the land?"

Harry drew his wand and walked to a small house, carefully examining it: "There are traces of Transfiguration."

"To be honest, it wouldn't be strange if Professor Slughorn could do this, but he's not even here right now, so it's a bit of an exaggeration."

Everything before him was completely beyond his understanding, leaving him speechless.

Neville crouched down and touched the ground beneath his feet, muttering to himself: "If it's Professor Slughorn, then it's not surprising. His power is beyond our imagination."

Just as Neville was feeling emotional, an explosion sounded beside him, startling him.

Turning his head, he saw Seamus looking at everyone sheepishly: "Sorry, I got a little excited and wanted to test a spell."

Everyone was used to Seamus's behavior, shook their heads, and stopped paying attention, instead beginning to observe the village with great interest.

What Harry and the others didn't know was that all of this was related to the Room of Requirement left behind by the founder Rowena Ravenclaw.

It was a magical room that could change its shape and function at any time to meet the needs of the user, located on the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle.

After nearly three years of in-depth research, Sebastian had thoroughly understood the magical principles of the Room of Requirement.

Then, he optimized and expanded on these magical principles, combining them with alchemy, and transforming the Duelling Club into the way he envisioned it.

Just as everyone was looking around, the door of a house opened, and an old man wearing a tattered wizard's robe walked out.

"Great! Finally, righteous people have come to help!"

"The village's potatoes have had a bumper harvest, but they've been targeted by the dark creatures around us. They will come in waves to snatch the potatoes."

"Please, righteous people, help us eliminate all those guys."

"Be careful, they're coming!"

After speaking, he turned and walked into the house, locking the door tightly.

"Not a real person, nor a puppet doll," Malfoy stated his judgment. "It should be a holographic imaging spell like in a movie theater."

"This is just an emotionless NPC, only responsible for narrating the background of the instance," Ron, who had been influenced by Muggle Studies, was very clear about what was going on.

After all, anyone could figure out that no dark creatures would be snatching potatoes.

"Although the story background is a bit rough," Seamus said with a smile, "the sense of immersion is immediately there."

Neville looked around: "Five paths, let's each guard one, and help each other out if there are any unexpected situations."

Everyone agreed. They each chose a path and walked over. This small village was particularly tiny. Standing at each intersection, everyone could still see each other.

Ron and Malfoy exchanged a glance, as if reminding each other not to forget their competition.

As soon as Harry reached the intersection, he saw the distant fog churning, and then twenty Cornish Pixies flew out from it.

As soon as they emerged from the mist, these little things bared their fangs and claws, chattering as they flew over.

At this, Harry relaxed.

He thought it was something, but it turned out to be these little things.

Although there were quite a few of them, they were unexpectedly simple.

He raised his wand, and rays of red light flew out, accurately knocking down the Cornish Pixies.

Harry looked carefully. These little things were not real, but vivid magical puppets.

After everyone had eliminated the Cornish Pixies, after resting for less than ten seconds, the distant fog churned again, and twenty Red Caps ran out from it.

Next came Imps, Hinkypunks, Vampire Bats, Ghouls, Inferi, and so on.

Harry calmly responded, accurately resolving wave after wave of enemies.

As they fought, the gaps between the individuals became apparent.

Harry and Malfoy were undoubtedly in the first tier, their speeds almost indistinguishable to the naked eye.

Each wave of enemies was almost instantly killed, without any hesitation.

After that came Neville. Since his parents had recovered, he had become cheerful and confident, and his strength had increased rapidly.

At this moment, his speed was about ten or so behind Harry and Malfoy.

Next was Ron, who was a little slower than Neville, but fortunately, he dealt with each creature appropriately, without becoming flustered.

The most flustered was Seamus. Faced with the large number of monsters, he seemed a little overwhelmed, and was often pushed back to the village by the monsters as he fought.

When facing the Inferi, he even forgot that Fiendfyre was the best choice for dealing with these guys, and was directly attacked by the Inferi into the village.

Fortunately, Harry and Neville were on either side of Seamus, and with their help, he managed to fight through with some close calls.

As they fought, the NPC shouted again: "The last wave of monsters is coming, keep it up!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the last wave of monsters appeared.

The good news was that this time there was only one monster on each path, adding up to only five monsters.

The bad news was that this time the monsters were Trolls.

Moreover, as soon as the five Trolls appeared, they swung the clubs in their hands, charging towards the village like bulldozers with a loud bang.
