Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#410 - Chapter 410 Is This Really My Father?

The instant Harry saw the boy, he rushed over. Fortunately, he was in a memory, and like a ghost, he could pass through tables and students without causing any commotion.

He knew so little about his father, and he wanted to see what role his father would play in Professor Snape's memory.

Harry stopped in front of the table and bent down to examine his father closely.

It was a strange feeling, a bit like looking at another version of himself.

The other boy's eyes were light brown, not green like his own, and he didn't have a scar on his forehead, but otherwise, they were very similar.

The same mouth, the same eyebrows, the same messy hair that never seemed to stay in place no matter how much you combed it.

Of course, the other boy might have been deliberately messing it up. Sirius had told him that his father always liked to make his hair look messy on purpose, calling it 'personality'.

James yawned and ruffled his hair even more than before. Then, he secretly turned around and smiled at a boy behind him.

Harry immediately recognized Sirius. He was leaning lazily back in his chair, balanced on two legs, and after seeing James turn around, he smiled and gave a thumbs up.

Not far from Sirius, Harry also saw a pale, haggard-looking Lupin, who was currently frowning and carefully examining his exam paper.

Near Lupin, Harry also spotted a short boy with gray hair. It was Peter Pettigrew, looking anxious, constantly biting his nails, and sneaking glances at the exam paper on the neighboring desk when Professor Flitwick wasn't looking.

Thinking about what Peter Pettigrew had said in the past, Harry felt a pang in his heart.

Perhaps... in this memory, he could see if Peter was lying.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the exam. Professor Flitwick collected everyone's parchment, and after announcing the dismissal, the hall immediately erupted in noise.

"Hey, Severus, stop looking at the exam. The answer parchments have been handed in. What's the point of still looking?" Sebastian slapped him on the shoulder. "Let's go, Lily and Mia are waiting for us."

Following the direction of Sebastian's finger, Harry saw his mother and Aunt Mia standing side by side by the door, smiling and looking over at them.

Hearing Sebastian's words, a cheerful smile that Harry had never seen before appeared on Snape's face. He swatted Sebastian's hand away and dashed over to Lily's side.

"Lily, how did it go? Oh, listen to me, with your level, you definitely passed with flying colors."

"You woman-before-friends jerk," Sebastian grumbled as he walked over, grabbing Mia's hand. "Let's ignore them and go relax."

Watching Snape and his mother chatting and laughing, Harry was completely taken aback.

What was going on?

Was the attitude between these two a little too intimate?

Where was his father?

Harry turned to look at his father, and noticed that his gaze kept drifting towards his mother, while he absentmindedly talked to his friends.

Suddenly, he heard his father say in an impatient tone, "Wormtail, how can you be so stupid? You have to go out with the werewolf every month."

Harry turned his head to look at Lupin, who was blushing and pleading with his father to keep his voice down.

What was that?

It sounded like they were discussing the characteristics of werewolves.

But, was it okay to talk about this kind of thing in a place like this?

Harry felt a little uncomfortable. He thought his father wasn't being careful enough. If someone with malicious intentions heard this, Lupin would be in trouble.

Following the crowd out of the hall, Harry saw a chubby professor he had never seen before call Sebastian aside and say something to him with concern. Aunt Mia also stopped and stood not far away, waiting for them.

Professor Snape, on the other hand, left the castle with his mother, heading towards the Black Lake.

To Harry's relief, whether intentionally or unintentionally, his father James also came to the Black Lake with his friends. He had been worried that he wouldn't see his father at all.

James took out a Golden Snitch and let it fly around him. Then, he used various difficult moves to catch it again and again.

Every time, Wormtail would clap his hands and cheer loudly. Harry realized that his father really enjoyed being the center of attention, but his attention was clearly not on Wormtail, but rather frequently glancing in the direction of his mother.

Harry smiled. He was now certain that his Quidditch talent was indeed inherited from his father.

After playing around for a while, Sirius stopped James, saying it was to prevent Wormtail from getting so excited that he wet his pants.

That uncomfortable feeling resurfaced in Harry's heart. He felt that those words sounded disrespectful.

Just then, James muttered, "Let's go bother Snivellus."

Lupin wanted to say something to dissuade him, but James and Sirius had already strode forward, with Peter Pettigrew following behind them, a look of anticipation on his face.

Harry looked up and saw that his mother had been called away by some girls, leaving Snape standing alone.

"Snivellus," James and Sirius surrounded him, lowering their voices, "I've warned you more than once to stay away from Evans, but you never listen to me."

Snape didn't waste any words and drew his wand, engaging the others in a fight. However, he was outnumbered, and his wand was disarmed after only a couple of rounds.

"Snivellus, that hairstyle of yours is too annoying. Scourgify!"

A large number of soap bubbles appeared on Snape's head, covering his eyes.

"Potter, you coward, duel me one-on-one!"

"Still being stubborn!" James cast another spell, hanging Snape upside down in mid-air. "Promise me you'll stay away from Evans in the future."

"Dream on!" Snape said fiercely. "Lily has the right to be with whoever she wants, you can't interfere at all. Besides, she wouldn't even give you the time of day."

Harry felt a chill run down his spine. He thought his father's behavior was too bullying, and he couldn't accept that his father would be this kind of person.

He really wanted to shout at his father, telling him that this behavior was wrong and to stop him himself, but unfortunately, this was just a memory, and he couldn't do anything.

Just as he was feeling terribly anxious, a soft shout came from a distance.

"James Potter, you let Severus go!"
