Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#433 - Chapter 433 Breakup

Draco pushed forward, glaring at Harry, his face filled with shock and anger, as if he had been greatly insulted.

Harry struggled to stand up, his gaze like a knife, staring directly at Draco: "I'm not slandering you, it's the truth. Your father bowed down to Voldemort and pledged his loyalty. I saw it all with my own eyes."

"Nonsense! The Dark Lord has been gone for years. Don't use those baseless things to accuse my family. What right do you have to slander us?"

"Slander?" Harry chuckled coldly. "Tonight is the Triwizard Tournament final, yet your father didn't come to watch you compete. Why? Isn't it because he went to see Voldemort?"

Draco suddenly took a step forward, gritting his teeth as he roared: "Shut up! Pot-ter! He didn't come to watch the match because a materials warehouse at our manor caught fire. As the head of the family, he had to deal with it personally. In any case, my father is innocent!"

Harry retorted without backing down: "Innocent? Your father is innocent? Are you saying I'm lying, Malfoy?"

Draco's face turned red with anger. He wanted to rush at Harry but was held back by Cedric.

"Harry... Draco..." Cedric was frantic. Everyone was clearly close comrades, and they had just cooperated to win the Triwizard Tournament trophy together.

But he didn't know what to say. Harry was now accusing Draco's father of being a Death Eater, and it was understandable that Draco would defend his father.

Logically, he felt that Harry wouldn't lie, but he also didn't want to see Harry and Draco arguing like this.

Hermione was stunned by the conflict between Harry and Malfoy. These two were clearly on good terms. How could they be arguing like this? Can't they just talk it out?

Ron didn't think much about it. He pulled Hermione and stood silently behind Harry. No matter what, Harry must be right.

Draco gripped his wand tightly, as if ready to cast a spell on Harry at any moment. Although he was outwardly furious, his heart was aching.

Fate is a trickster, Harry. Our friendship can only end here.

I also want to stand in the sunlight and wave my wand alongside you against the Dark Lord, but...

He tried to control the urge to tremble and forced himself to continue attacking Harry: "You hypocritical bastard! You only use other people's family names to hype yourself up and act like a savior! I should have seen your true colors sooner!"

"You're just a child who's been protected too well, Malfoy! Sooner or later, you'll see the truth with your own eyes!" Harry raised his head, revealing a look of disdain.

The atmosphere at the scene became tense due to the argument, and almost no one could interject.

Fudge's face turned even uglier. He waved his hand to interrupt the two's quarrel, his tone impatient: "Enough! Potter, I don't need you to use these meaningless accusations to interfere with our normal judgment!"

Draco snorted coldly, straightened his robes, and turned to leave: "Stop trying to gain attention by slandering others, Potter. From today onwards, we are no longer friends. Let's break up!"

Harry clenched his fists tightly: "Break up then! I don't care to be friends with the child of a Death Eater, Malfoy!"

Watching Draco's departing figure, Harry felt a burst of pain strike his heart.

Scenes of the two preparing for the Triwizard Tournament appeared in his mind, finally settling on the scene of their first time learning Occlumency.

In a daze, he saw Malfoy smiling and saying to himself: "I am now a lone beast, haha."

His fists clenched tighter and tighter, his nails digging into his palms, but it was difficult to alleviate the bitterness in his heart.

I'm sorry, Draco. I've made you a lone beast again.

I'm sorry...

"Potter," Fudge's roar brought Harry back to his senses. "Your accusations against Lucius Malfoy are completely unreasonable. He has already been declared innocent."

"Mr. Malfoy is a conscientious entrepreneur who has generously donated to the Ministry of Magic many times. Moreover, after the tax reform, he hasn't owed a single Knut of taxes. You absolutely must not slander him."

"Macnair has also been declared innocent and is now an outstanding employee of the Ministry of Magic."

"Furthermore," Fudge said huffily, "people like Avery, Crabbe, and Goyle, as you said, were determined not to be Death Eaters as early as thirteen years ago. You can check the past trial reports. For Merlin's sake, you should have more trust in the Ministry of Magic!"

"Fudge," Dumbledore stood up. "I believe Harry. I also believe that Voldemort has returned. We should take some necessary measures as early as possible while the situation is still good."

"Nonsense!" Fudge shouted loudly. "Just based on this boy's words, you want me to believe that the Dark Lord has returned? I think you are deliberately creating panic and undermining the stability of the wizarding world."

He glanced at Harry: "Potter was taken away by someone who released the Dark Mark tonight. He may have been frightened and had hallucinations. You know that people in extreme fear can easily confuse the imagination in their minds with reality."

"I didn't! I'm very clear about what I saw!" Harry was really angry this time. He couldn't imagine that this small Minister of Magic would refuse to believe that Voldemort had returned.

Not only did he not believe it, but he also thought that he was talking nonsense and deliberately undermining the stability of the wizarding world. This was too absurd.

"No! Mr. Potter, you must have seen a hallucination," Fudge retorted forcefully. "You just said that the Dark Lord called someone Barty, that's impossible."

"The Dark Lord's subordinate, Barty Crouch Jr., died in Azkaban more than ten years ago. Mr. Crouch himself confirmed this. Dumbledore, you should know about this."

"I didn't see wrong," Harry said stubbornly. "It was that young man who disguised himself as Mr. Barty Crouch and took me away from Hogwarts."

Fudge completely ignored anything Harry said and just stared at Dumbledore.

"Cornelius," Dumbledore said, "It was Sebastian who rescued Harry. Why don't you wait for him to come back and hear what he has to say?"

"Sebastian?" Fudge's eyes lit up. He pointed at Dumbledore and said, "If the Dark Lord has really returned, you should immediately go and save Sebastian, instead of saying some irrelevant nonsense here."

You keep saying that the Dark Lord has returned, but you, Dumbledore, haven't even thought about saving Sebastian. This is your biggest loophole.

Could it be that you're not worried that Sebastian will die at the hands of the Dark Lord?

"I believe in Sebastian," Dumbledore said quietly, looking at Fudge. "His strength is very strong. Voldemort can't keep him."

Huh?

What nonsense are you talking about?

That's the Dark Lord!

No matter how powerful Sebastian is, he can't possibly be a match for the Dark Lord.

Fudge looked at Dumbledore contemptuously: "I've had enough of your tricks. Now that the savior has returned, I'm going back to the Ministry of Magic."

"The person who released the Dark Mark is still at large, and the Ministry of Magic has a lot of work to do."

"Dumbledore, I've discovered that there are big problems with the way this school is run. We'll contact you later."
