Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#520 - Chapter 520: Do you dislike my acting skills?

The battle gradually subsided. Voldemort, with Barty Crouch Jr. and two others, fled directly, leaving the remaining Death Eaters at Hogwarts.

Hogsmeade was safe and sound, and Hogwarts was largely unscathed.

However, no one felt it was a great victory, because they had already discovered Dumbledore's body lying at the foot of the Astronomy Tower.

Following the students' cries, Harry and Ron rushed to the vicinity of the Astronomy Tower, seeing a dark mass lying on the grass from afar. Professor McGonagall stood beside the dark figure, swaying, surrounded by many weeping students.

"What's going on? Who's lying there? Did someone die...?" Ron stopped speaking, his face pale, clearly frightened by his own thoughts.

Harry and Ron walked forward side by side, passing through the softly sobbing crowd to the front.

The instant Harry saw the dark figure on the ground, he felt as if a huge rock was pressing on his chest, making it hard to breathe.

Dumbledore lay quietly on the ground, eyes closed, limbs spread out limply, as if merely lost in a deep dream. His silvery-white hair and beard were slightly disheveled, reflecting the night, making the scene particularly silent and solemn.

Harry couldn't help but step forward, squatting down, carefully straightening his fallen half-moon spectacles, and gently wiping the blood from the corner of Dumbledore's mouth with his sleeve.

He gazed at the weathered face that had always held wisdom and kindness, and a piercing pain surged in his chest.

This being who countless people had looked up to and relied on, this seemingly omnipotent wizard, now lay quietly on the ground, without a trace of life.

A night breeze blew, ruffling Harry's black hair. He gritted his teeth, trying not to let tears fall, but the scene before him became increasingly blurred.

"Harry, don't cry." A pair of steady and strong hands gently rested on Harry's shoulders. It was Sebastian, who had arrived from Hogsmeade with the Aurors.

"This is just a dream. When the dream ends, everything will be alright!"

Sebastian, with a heavy expression, handed Harry over to Mia, then began to direct things in an organized manner.

First, he arranged for the professors to count the students, and after checking that no one was injured, he led them back to their respective common rooms.

At the same time, he had the Aurors check on the condition of the six Death Eaters.

The Carrow siblings had fallen to their deaths from a great height. McNair was torn apart by transformed animals and died from blood loss.

Rodolphus was struck by several strange spells, his entire body becoming swollen and deformed. In addition, small tentacles grew on his body.

Peter Pettigrew and Dolohov were slightly better off, only having fallen unconscious.

Sebastian ordered the Aurors to take the Death Eaters away, planning to give them the Dementor's Kiss after the victory.

After doing all this, he waved his wand, causing Dumbledore to float behind him, and then went to the Headmaster's office with Professor McGonagall.

Looking at the familiar furnishings in the Headmaster's office, looking at Dumbledore lying on the floor, Professor McGonagall was once again overcome with grief.

"Sebastian, I don't understand, how could those Death Eaters possibly be a match for Albus...?"

Before she could finish speaking, her eyes widened as she watched Dumbledore get up from the floor.

"Hello, Minerva, don't be sad. I just used magic to put myself into a state of suspended animation," Dumbledore winked playfully. "How was my acting?"

Professor McGonagall was stunned for a moment before realizing she had been tricked. She frowned and glared angrily at Dumbledore.

"Albus Dumbledore!!! What on earth are you up to? And you, Sebastian, are you in cahoots with this old man?"

Seeing Professor McGonagall's anger, Sebastian immediately put on a smiling face and carefully explained the ins and outs of the matter.

"Does that mean I can't fool others if I don't act well?"

Professor McGonagall's anger intensified, and she berated Dumbledore and Sebastian.

Professor McGonagall's fury was terrifying, and even Dumbledore didn't dare to provoke her.

Knowing they were in the wrong, the two didn't dare to refute a word, meekly letting Professor McGonagall vent her anger.

It wasn't until Professor McGonagall's emotions had stabilized somewhat that she said, "What's the plan next?"

"Professor McGonagall," Sebastian quickly stepped forward to appease her, "We didn't intend to hide it from you. We're telling you now."

To be honest, Sebastian really hadn't planned to hide it from Professor McGonagall, but their plan was too radical.

After all, there was a certain risk in bringing Death Eaters into the school. To prevent Professor McGonagall from opposing the plan, they had to act first and report later.

"To be honest, I've long disliked this old man," Sebastian pointed to the smiling Dumbledore and said to Professor McGonagall, "Now is the perfect time to get rid of him and let you be the Headmistress of Hogwarts."

"Besides, Professor, think about it. You're the only one in the entire school who knows that Dumbledore is still alive. When Voldemort is gone and Dumbledore reappears, I don't know how many jaws will drop. At that time, you can watch everyone else's jokes."

Sebastian used all his skills to turn Professor McGonagall's mood from cloudy to clear.

Seeing Professor McGonagall's mood improve, Dumbledore first instructed the numerous portraits to keep today's events a secret, then looked at Professor McGonagall with a smile.

"Yes, Minerva, you'll be Headmistress next. I'm going to rest and take it easy. As for Tom, you don't have to worry about him. Sebastian will take care of everything."

"Hmph!" Professor McGonagall snorted softly, giving Dumbledore a cold glare.

She knew how tired Dumbledore had been all along, so she didn't object to him resting. She was just angry that Dumbledore had kept it from her.

"Sebastian," Professor McGonagall turned to look at Sebastian, her tone softening, "At this critical time, shouldn't you be the Headmaster? After all, everyone saw you fighting Voldemort today. Everyone will feel more at ease if you're the Headmaster."

"No, no, no," Sebastian waved his hands repeatedly. "There's no one more suitable to be Headmaster than you."

"Besides, I'm going to be very busy next, and I probably won't have time to handle school affairs. You should be the Headmistress, Professor McGonagall."

After much persuasion, Professor McGonagall finally agreed to be the Headmistress herself. She looked at Dumbledore and asked softly.

"Albus, what are your plans next?"

"Plans, huh..." Dumbledore stroked his beard with a smile. "I can't say for sure about the distant future, but in the near future, I'll start by holding a grand funeral for myself..."
