Hogwarts: I can inherit the legacy of the dead

Chapter 10 Old books in the dormitory

Hogwarts has four colleges.

They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.

The names of the colleges correspond to the four legendary founders, and the spirit of the colleges is closely related to the personalities of the four founders.

Gryffindor advocates bravery, vitality and chivalry, Hufflepuff students are mostly honest and loyal, Ravenclaw is famous for its erudition and agility, and Slytherin's reputation is not very good. It encourages people to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.

But it is undeniable that the four founders who have disappeared or passed away are all legendary wizards with outstanding talents.

"Eva Marceau, enter Ravenclaw College!"

"Susan Bonn, Hufflepuff!"

The sorting ceremony was carried out in an orderly manner.

The person who said this was not a person, but a wizard's creation, the Sorting Hat.

It looks like a tattered hat made of cowhide with a mouth on the brim.

Since its creation, this hat has been famous for its insight into people's hearts. It is perfect for distinguishing which college a student's personality is suitable for.

Not long after, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter, these familiar names have been read.

They were all sorted into Gryffindor.

The three of them are familiar friends. It is worth being happy to be sorted into the same college. Moreover, the three of them have heard of Gryffindor College and are looking forward to it.

"Meka Anders, come forward." Professor McGonagall read the list in her hand.

"Don't worry." Ron suddenly patted Meka's shoulder and comforted him with the tone of a person who has experienced it: "The three of us have all entered Gryffindor. You and we are friends, so you must have entered Gryffindor too."

There is no basis for this, and Meka smiled when he heard it.

He glanced at Hermione and Harry again, and seeing them nod, with a worried look on their faces, he couldn't help but laugh:

"I see, thank you."

Meka walked up the steps, stood in front of Professor McGonagall, and took the Sorting Hat.

He looked at the Sorting Hat.

From such a close distance, the Sorting Hat seemed to have a pair of inconspicuous eyes, but they were deeply sunken in the folds of the hat, and it was not clear, and it was not known whether they were eyes.

The Sorting Hat saw that he was reluctant to put it on, so it opened its mouth and said lazily:

"What's so good about it, young man."

"Put it on quickly, let me see what's in your head."

Meka smiled and put on the Sorting Hat, sat on the chair, and closed his eyes.

He didn't know if the Sorting Hat could hear people's voices, so he simply didn't think about the extraordinary things that had happened in his mind.

But the more he wanted to empty his mind, the more messy thoughts would come into his mind.

Fortunately, these thoughts were not important.

"You are the most complicated person I have ever seen."

The Sorting Hat seemed to see the changes in his thoughts and muttered:

"How old are you? At the age of eleven, your mind is almost the same as those people whose graves are about to grow grass?"

"Oh? Did a relative pass away recently? Sorry, I didn't mean to see it, it was really accidental, but don't worry, I am not a talkative person, I won't talk about this in front of you..."

"Oh, I said it wrong, I am not a person, I am a hat."

Meka, who closed his eyes, was a little amused and helpless.

The Sorting Hat was silent for a while, as if trying to figure out Meka's personality, and then spoke again: "I think your mind is very similar to that of Slytherin, but you are a little clever."

"I don't know whether to let you go to Slytherin or Ravenclaw?"

"Oh?" The Sorting Hat was surprised: "Have you ever thought about whether you will be sorted into Hufflepuff? But no matter how I look at it, you are not a very serious person, and there are indeed a lot of dirty things in your mind."

"You still don't admit it?" The Sorting Hat seemed to have heard Meka's rebuttal, and snorted with disdain.

But soon the defense was broken again, and the Sorting Hat was furious:

"Gryffindor is also okay? What do you mean? Is Gryffindor such a casual person, such a casual college?"

"What? In your opinion, Gryffindor is just for numbers, dragging down other colleges? If I didn't have two legs, I would kick your ass right now!"

"Forget it." The Sorting Hat yelled for a while, and finally calmed down, and returned to its lazy look:

"You look down on Gryffindor so much, I just let you into Gryffindor."

The Sorting Hat lowered its voice and repeated in a mean way:

"Just let you into Gryffindor."

"Hehe!"

It raised its body and shouted:

"Meka Anders! Gryffindor!"

Meka opened his eyes and saw Professor McGonagall with a strange look on his face. He seemed to have heard a lot of strange things and couldn't help but sneered.

Seeing Professor McGonagall's signal, Meka took off the triumphant Sorting Hat and walked down.

Ron stood up from his chair and waved his arms at him: "Good job! Maka!"

It seemed that being sorted into Gryffindor was a great thing.

He even rushed up to Maka and put his arm around his shoulders. Maka was caught off guard and was almost choked by him.

When Ron let go of his hand, Maka glared at him.

Ron smiled and scratched his head: "You are too thin, I didn't mean it."

Soon, this batch of freshmen were sorted into colleges, and the ceremony entered the next stage.

Maka and Harry shared a table for dinner.

The fatigue from a long day's journey also turned into appetite at this moment.

The entire auditorium was quiet, filled with the sounds of people eating.

After dinner, the freshmen left in batches and were taken back to different dormitories by senior students from their respective colleges.

Meka followed the Gryffindor students for a long walk, passed the spiral staircase, and finally arrived in front of a portrait of a woman.

This portrait is of a fat lady.

Wearing a fluffy white dress and a kind face, she seemed to be paying attention to every Gryffindor student passing by.

Meka came to this painting and was looking at how it was different from ordinary paintings. Suddenly the painting board shook, which startled him.

He raised his head, and the loving fat lady blinked at him, like a living person hidden in the painting.

It’s hard to imagine that a woman who looks very upright and serious suddenly blinks at you.

The Gryffindor common room and dormitories are hidden behind this painting.

As long as you say the password that changes every day, the Fat Lady will make a way.

"Dragon scum."

The fifth grader, Percy Weasley, who was leading the way, said the password.

The fat lady smiled and made an invitation gesture.

A dark passage slowly appeared from behind the portrait.

Meka glanced at the Fat Lady in the portrait again. Unfortunately, this portrait did not touch that space in his mind.

He originally thought that the portrait might be the work of a deceased wizard.

But now it seems that he was wrong.

As soon as the passage opened, freshmen poured in one after another. Meka no longer stayed and walked into the passage.

It was dark for a while, then illuminated by warm firelight.

By this time, a group of people had arrived in the Gryffindor common room.

In the lounge, the fire was burning brightly in the fireplace.

Percy Weasley gave a brief introduction to this historic common room, showing a sense of sharing weal and woe. He talked intoxicatedly about the past glory of Hogwarts, and time passed by little by little.

Ron was so sleepy that he dozed off, and finally coughed impatiently, interrupting his brother's speech.

Percy Weasley frowned at him and finally said:

"That's it for today. Juniors and juniors, take a rest as soon as possible. We still have classes tomorrow."

As soon as the team dispersed, everyone went to look for the list posted on the door of the dormitory.

After a while, Harry, Ron, and Meka were all standing at the door of the same dormitory.

"What a coincidence." Harry's eyes seemed to light up.

It's always nice to be in the same dormitory with friends.

Meka didn't expect that it would be such a coincidence that she would be in this dormitory, and she also smiled.

"Stop talking now, I'm so sleepy." Ron was so sleepy that he yawned and opened the door first.

A strange smell that had not been ventilated for a long time filled the air.

Meka frowned, pushed the luggage in, and opened the window.

A gust of wind blowing from the lake dispersed most of the strange smell in the house, making people feel relaxed and happy.

Meka put down her luggage and saw a layer of dust on the desk next to the bed, so she packed up the desk.

Suddenly something stepped on my feet.

He squatted down.

A book with an old cover lay quietly under the desk, supporting a broken leg of the desk.

The book looked tattered, as if it had been there for a long time, and even the cover had black spots of mold.

"The Autobiography of a Vampire?"

Meka read the vague words on the cover and picked it up.

A bolt of lightning seemed to flash through my mind out of thin air.
