Hogwarts: I will not become the Dark Lord

#311 - Jerry: You got the wrong guy!

After the grand banquet came to a successful conclusion, the guests and students in the hall rose to their feet, preparing to leave.

“Fleur, darling, it’s time for us to go and rest!” Madame Maxime’s gaze lightly swept over Jerry as she gently called out to Fleur.

“Alright, Jerry, see you tomorrow!” Fleur said with a bright smile, gently wrapping her arms around Jerry’s shoulders and lightly planting a farewell kiss on his cheek.

Then, she took Gabrielle’s hand, smiling broadly as she followed Madame Maxime out of the hall, leaving behind the students around Jerry, all staring with envy and jealousy.

At the same time, Karkaroff also hurriedly walked towards his students.

“Everyone, let’s go back to the ship to rest,” he announced, his gaze landing on Viktor, “Viktor, how are you feeling? Did you enjoy the banquet food? Would you like me to have the Hogwarts kitchen prepare some wine for you?”

Another Durmstrang boy, Polyakov, his eyes gleaming with longing for wine, eagerly said, “Professor, I’d like a glass too!”

“That’s right, that’s Harry Potter.” The sudden words, carrying a hint of anger, came from behind Karkaroff and his students.

Karkaroff turned sharply at the sound, only to see Mad-Eye Moody standing before him, his massive frame leaning slightly on his staff, appearing both heavy and imposing, his chilling blue magical eye staring directly at Karkaroff, the headmaster of Durmstrang.

Harry noticed that Karkaroff’s face instantly turned as white as a sheet, anger and fear intertwined in a distorted expression, making his face look particularly hideous.

“It’s you!” he exclaimed, his eyes filled with disbelief and hatred, staring directly at Moody. He would never forget being chased by Moody, that mad dog, for six months, trying to send him to Azkaban! If he hadn’t reached an agreement with Barty Crouch Sr. at the end, exposing other Death Eaters, he might still be in Azkaban with the Dementors!

“Indeed, it is.” Moody’s voice was low and powerful, “Unless you have something you absolutely must say to Potter, Karkaroff, I suggest you and your students leave quickly. You’re blocking the exit.”

Professor Karkaroff didn’t say another word, but waved his hand, leading his students out of the entrance hall with a gloomy and unwilling expression. Moody maintained his scrutinizing posture until their figures completely disappeared from sight, then his magical eyes slowly closed, returning to the shadows.

“Hermione!” Jerry seized Hermione’s wrist, intending to pull her aside, but Hermione suddenly struggled, successfully breaking free, then covered her nose with a displeased expression.

“The perfume you’re wearing is awful!” Hermione glared at Jerry angrily, then, without waiting for Jerry to open his mouth to argue, turned and walked hurriedly towards the Gryffindor common room in a huff.

“This is bad, Jerry, Hermione is clearly jealous!” The Weasley twins, George and Fred, had quietly appeared beside Jerry at some point, with expressions of schadenfreude.

Jerry smiled wryly, but his heart was unusually calm. He wasn’t in a hurry; he had plenty of time for Hermione!

“You two, shouldn’t you hurry back to the common room?” Jerry turned to George and Fred beside him, a hint of helpless amusement in his eyes.

“Hey, here’s this for you,” George grinned mischievously, taking out the Marauder’s Map from his pocket, then magically produced a small bottle of Ageing Potion, “And this!”

“You guys are quick!” Jerry took the Ageing Potion, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, “You stole the ingredients from Snape and brewed the Ageing Potion so quickly?”

“That’s not right, we bought it, not stole it! Absolutely the right thing to do!” George immediately corrected, looking righteous and awe-inspiring, “We left the gold Galleons on Professor Snape’s ingredient cabinet according to the market price, fair and square!”

“Jerry, George and I are only a few months away from seventeen, we only need a drop of Ageing Potion to cross the age line!” Fred rubbed his hands excitedly, “The Triwizard Tournament winner gets a thousand Galleons!”

“I should return this to you guys!” Jerry took the Marauder’s Map and returned the Ageing Potion to the Weasley twins.

“What do you mean? Jerry, don’t you want to participate in the Triwizard Tournament?” George’s face showed a puzzled expression, “Just a few drops and you can cross the age line and throw your name into the Goblet of Fire.”

“Sorry, I am a law-abiding, rule-abiding, righteous, kind, positive, and honest five-good student!” Jerry said with a serious face, “The education I received does not support me doing this kind of thing! You’ve mistaken me!”

George and Fred’s eyes widened. Wait, what are you pretending in front of us? If we hadn’t known you for three or four years, we would have almost been deceived by your sanctimonious appearance!

“Are you sure?” George asked again, holding the Ageing Potion.

“Sure!” After saying that, Jerry turned and left the entrance hall.

“This…” George looked at Fred, “Did we misjudge him before?”

The Weasley twins were stunned by Jerry’s righteous words. They thought that the school rules Jerry had broken in the past were no less than theirs! He was just lucky not to be caught!

“Forget it,” Fred shook his head, “If Jerry doesn’t want it, let’s go back and ask the others in the house, we’ll sell it to whoever pays the most!”

After Jerry left the entrance hall, he did not return to the Slytherin common room. He took the Marauder’s Map and found Moody (Barty Crouch Jr.).

“I didn’t expect you to come looking for me?” Moody’s voice was mixed with a hint of surprise, “Speak, what is it?”

“It’s nothing major,” Jerry shook his head lightly, his tone calm but with an undeniable seriousness, “Just reminding you, Potter alone is enough, don’t create unnecessary complications!”

After speaking, Jerry turned and left.

Moody knew what Jerry meant. Actually, without Jerry’s reminder, he wouldn’t put Jerry’s name in the Goblet of Fire either.

In his opinion, Jerry Green was an unpredictable and uncontrollable variable. He couldn’t put Jerry’s name in the Goblet of Fire and cause unexpected situations in his master’s resurrection plan.

Late at night, a sneaky figure quietly sneaked into the entrance hall, secretly throwing a piece of parchment into the Goblet of Fire!
