Hogwarts: I will not become the Dark Lord
#349 - Graduation Gifts
Jerry arrived at the French Strattman Manor once again, using his door key. Compared to a few years ago, it seemed that little had changed here.
At the entrance of the manor, Madame Rosier, with her silver-white hair, had been waiting for Jerry for a long time.
"Madame Rosier, it's been a while!" Jerry greeted her with a smile.
"Yes, it has been a long time!"
After a brief greeting, Jerry followed Madame Rosier into the manor.
"Have you found the person?" Jerry asked as they walked.
"We've already captured him. He fled to Northern Europe, where we have many informants," Madame Rosier nodded. "However, Jerry, are you sure about the girl you chose? She just graduated from Beauxbatons. Isn't she a bit too young?"
"Is there anyone better?" Jerry and Madame Rosier left the garden and arrived at the manor's lake. They stood on the dock, the setting sun pouring onto the water like molten gold, creating a shimmering effect. "When you joined the Wizengamot, you weren't much older than her, were you? Besides, if the upcoming Wizengamot activities have the cover of a local French family, even helping you gather intelligence, your operations will be much smoother!"
"Alright then! I'll do my best to teach her," Madame Rosier's expression was stern, but also revealed a hint of approval. "I hope she can grow up quickly!"
"Let's go see the person you caught. That's the graduation gift I promised her!" Jerry smiled, then left the dock with Madame Rosier and headed to the manor's alchemy lab. Jerry had researched forbidden human alchemy there a few years ago!
...
Place Fürstenberg, an inconspicuous little square. The French Ministry of Magic is located underground in this square.
Inside the Muggle café next to the square, Jerry sat in the same seat he had occupied during his last visit. This was where he first met Fleur, so he had arranged to meet her here again.
Jerry's gaze frequently swept out the window, watching the Ministry of Magic employees coming and going. Compared to his last visit, the security presence seemed much stronger now.
He hadn't been sitting for long when the café door was pushed open, and Fleur, with a hint of surprise and eagerness, headed straight for Jerry. She leaped gracefully, wrapped her arms around Jerry's upper body, and then gave him a passionate kiss.
"Jerry, I thought you were just saying it casually!" Fleur's laughter carried a hint of coquettishness as her hands gently caressed Jerry's face.
"Alright, haven't we only been apart for a few days?" Jerry said, catching his breath, as he pulled Fleur down to sit in the seat, smiling.
"I didn't expect you to ask me to meet you in this place..." Fleur looked around, her eyes shining with joy. "Remember? It was here that I first met you. Back then, you were just a little boy... Now, you've grown up!"
"So, little boy, where's my graduation gift?" Fleur blinked, her tone full of anticipation.
"So eager? Are you sure you want it now?" Jerry's lips curled into a smile.
"Of course, I can't wait!" Fleur suddenly leaned close to Jerry's ear, her whisper carrying a hint of playfulness. "Don't worry, before I left, I told Mum I wouldn't be coming home tonight!"
Originally, Jerry had planned to proceed gradually with Fleur. Jerry himself didn't mind, his main concern was that Fleur might not be able to handle it if it was too fast. But he didn't expect Fleur to be so eager, so there was no need to waste time, straight to the point, blood tonight!
Jerry took Fleur's hand, and after leaving the café, they walked along the street to a deserted alley. Then, Jerry took out his door key and apparated Fleur to the Strattman Manor.
"This, where is this?" Looking at the magnificent manor before her, Fleur's eyes flashed with curiosity.
"This is my base in France. I live here," Jerry said with a smile. "Come with me!"
"Hello, Madame Rosier, I am Fleur Delacour, it's a pleasure to meet you," Fleur said politely, a faint blush rising on her face.
Madame Rosier nodded, acknowledging her.
"Are you ready? Once you enter this room, there's no turning back, even for you!" Jerry suddenly became serious.
"I understand!" Fleur's heart raced, her cheeks even redder, as she held Jerry's arm and whispered.
Pushing open the door, Jerry and Fleur walked into the alchemy lab. Fleur found that the room was very different from what she had imagined. The room was large, with comfortable sofas and exquisite coffee tables in the center. Alchemy items and books were scattered on both sides of the room. At the innermost part of the room, against the wall, stood a tall humanoid figure wearing heavy armor and carrying a giant sword. A person was tied to a chair next to the figure.
"Karkaroff?" Fleur looked at Jerry in shock. "Didn't he run away? How could he be here? Also, Jerry... what's going on?"
"Karkaroff was indeed afraid of Voldemort and ran away, but I had someone catch him and bring him back!" Jerry took out his wand and pointed it at Karkaroff. "Ennervate!"
As the spell was cast, Karkaroff, who was unconscious, slowly opened his eyes.
"Where is this? How did I get here?" Karkaroff's voice was hoarse and trembling. He struggled desperately to break free from his restraints, but the more he struggled, the tighter the ropes became. "You two... quickly untie me!"
"Haven't you always been curious?" Jerry ignored Karkaroff. He hugged Fleur from behind, his chin lightly resting on her shoulder, and said in an almost whispered voice.
"I don't understand, what does this have to do with Karkaroff?" Fleur turned her head to look at Jerry, who put away his wand and took her wand from her pocket, handing it to her.
"There is only one thing you need to do next..." Jerry's hand tightly wrapped around Fleur's right hand holding the wand, "And that is to use the Avada Kedavra curse to kill Karkaroff!"
"What?!" Fleur, upon hearing this, suddenly broke free from Jerry's embrace, her eyes full of disbelief and shock.
“Don't worry, with me here, you don't have to worry about the killing polluting your soul!” Jerry released Fleur and then said with a smile.
“Enough! What are you two whispering about? Hurry up and untie me!” Karkaroff's voice was full of anger and impatience, and he tried to hide the panic in his heart with a commanding tone. “I know you, students from Hogwarts and students from Beauxbatons. I've seen you at the competition!”
“How noisy.” Jerry shook his head slightly, slowly raised his right hand, and pointed his index finger precisely at Karkaroff, “Crucio!”
As the spell fell, Karkaroff's face instantly turned as pale as paper, all his arrogant arrogance disappeared in an instant, and he couldn't speak.
No, are you serious! Do you have to use such a ruthless spell? If you think I'm noisy, shouldn't you use Quietus or Colloportus?
“Okay, maybe you can accept it with a different identity,” Jerry transformed himself, putting on the Blackwing vest, “Do you recognize me now?”
“You… you are…” Fleur's eyes widened, looking at Jerry in front of her with disbelief, “No, this is impossible! You were only a first year then, how could you…”
“In this world, nothing is impossible.” Jerry interrupted Fleur and gently handed her wand back to her.
“If, I mean if,” Fleur looked at the wand Jerry handed back, “If I can't bring myself to do it, will you allow me to leave?”
“Of course,” Jerry nodded without hesitation, “But I will erase your memory of today!”
“Jerry, I still can't believe it! Your grandfather is Dumbledore!”
“Haha,” Jerry smiled triumphantly, “Everyone thinks the same as you, my grandfather is Dumbledore, so I should be like him, hating evil as much as life, becoming a representative of justice, and being incompatible with evil, even if I'm unbearable, I won't become a fallen dark wizard!”
“But few people know that besides Dumbledore, I have another grandfather connected by blood…” Jerry waved his hand, and the flags of the Deathly Hallows appeared on the walls on both sides of the room.
“Deathly Hallows?! You… are you the Purists?!” Karkaroff's scream was full of fear and shock. As the headmaster of Durmstrang Institute, how could he not recognize the symbol of the Deathly Hallows, how could he not know Grindelwald.
Jerry gave Karkaroff another Crucio, and the guy shut up again.
“Actually, my last name is not Dumbledore. Strictly speaking, my last name is my mother's—Grindelwald! Anyway, that old man Gellert Grindelwald told me that!”
Fleur seemed to be struck by a thunderbolt, and she couldn't break free from the shock for a long time. She never expected that the surname that once made the whole of Europe tremble and brought endless haze and terror—Grindelwald—would be so closely linked to Jerry's name.
For a while, she was still unable to walk out of the shock brought to her by the incredible interweaving of the two surnames Dumbledore and Grindelwald on one person.
“The relationship between Dumbledore and Grindelwald is very complicated,” Jerry smiled softly, “If you are interested, I can tell you about it, just as a gossip. But today's focus is not on this!”
“Do you think I still have a choice?” Fleur took the wand, her arm trembling slightly.
“Of course, if you really resist it in your heart, you can give up! At worst, I will delete this memory of yours!” Jerry smiled, “I can clearly feel the complex emotions in your heart, there is shock, hesitation, and even confusion, but there is no fear in it!”
Fleur snuggled tightly in Jerry's arms, her voice with unquestionable determination: “I want you to promise me one thing!”
“You say, as long as I can do it!” Jerry nodded seriously.
“After you graduate,” Fleur said firmly, “I want you to marry me immediately!”
“Are you sure you have thought it through?” A hint of surprise flashed in Jerry's eyes, and then he became extremely serious, “Actually, if you really feel reluctant…”
Before he could finish his words, Fleur interrupted his worries with action, her lips gently covering Jerry's lips.
“I have thought it through very clearly,” Fleur put her arms around Jerry's neck, their foreheads pressed tightly together, “I just like a boy as unique as you!”
Fleur tremblingly raised her wand and pointed it at Karkaroff, who had slipped from the chair and collapsed to the ground, half-dead from Jerry's Crucio.
“Don't be afraid,” Jerry put one arm around Fleur's waist and held her hand holding the wand.
“Avada Kedavra!”
In an instant, a ghostly green light flashed in the room, accompanied by a shrill scream that seemed to come from the abyss. Karkaroff's body instantly stiffened, stopped moving, and turned into a cold corpse.
Fleur trembled and buried her head deeply in Jerry's arms, tears falling silently.
“I… I killed someone!”
Seeing this, Jerry waved his hand, and Karkaroff's body disappeared. Then he hugged Fleur, came to the sofa and sat down, and poured her a cup of hot tea.
“It's okay, you did a good job. This kind of thing has to be faced sooner or later. Everyone has a first time. It's better here than being at a loss on the battlefield. In the future, whether it's Death Eaters or other enemies, never show mercy!” Jerry comforted.
“Listen to me,” Jerry put his arms around Fleur, gently stroking Fleur's hair, and continued, “Do you see that puppet? Its name is Roge Bishop. It was made by me using the Philosopher's Stone from the Department of Mysteries of the French Ministry of Magic. It is very strong and has a certain amount of wisdom. When I am not in France, it will protect you!”
“What you have to do next is to study with Ms. Rosier outside the door. She is the teacher I found for you. In addition to learning spells and combat skills, the most important thing is that you have to understand and learn to manage the Purist Party.”
