"Mr. Kern, aren't you a Squib?" asked Harry, puzzled, as far as he knew the Squib couldn't cast a spell.
"Yes, but I'm special. "
Kern returned the wand to Hermione and said casually.
"I don't think I've heard of the spell you just used?" Hermione asked urgently, more curious about the spell she had never seen in a book than why a Squib could cast a spell.
"Oh, that's normal, because it's a spell of my own making. Kern said indifferently.
Create your own spell?
Hermione looked at Kern incredulously, there are generally two types of self-created spells, one is accidentally created by mistake, and the other requires a deep enough knowledge of magic.
At this moment, Madam Pomfrey walked in, holding a bottle of potion in her hand, came to Ron, and handed it directly to Ron, Harry and Hermione hurried to Ron's side when they saw this.
Kern put Lady Loris back on the hospital bed, thinking to himself that potions are a way, and so is a wand, and that you can try to start with both.
When the school bell rang, Kern also left the school hospital, and came to the auditorium to eat hungry, just in time to see Ginny's figure, only to see him dodging his eyes, looking very panicked.
Kern was skeptical that Tom's notebook had been stolen by her, but there was no evidence for it, so he had to put the matter aside for the time being.
After dinner, Kern went back to the dormitory and brought the three borrowed books back to the library to hand them over, and Mrs. Pins asked about Kern's physical condition with a little concern, and Kern thanked Mrs. Pins again.
Then he took advantage of this time to look for the book he wanted in the library, and after looking for a while, he found a book, "The Principle of Wand Making".
With an excited look on his face, he took the book off the shelf, and thanks to Mrs. Pince's long cleaning, it had not fallen a single dust.
Kern didn't rush to look through it, he didn't want to go to the school hospital anymore, so he went straight to the front desk, registered the books he had rented, and then put them aside and started his work.
"Be quiet!".
Kern became Mrs. Pince, yelling at the students, it wasn't that he wanted to be angry, but that the students had a seven-second memory, and every once in a while they would forget the rules of the library.
Approaching curfew, Kern suddenly saw a figure sneaking in front of the library, like a Gryffindor student who wanted to do something bad, and immediately walked quickly, and the figure saw Kern coming and retreated in a panic.
Kern, however, was noticeably quicker, and when he came to the library, he saw the conspicuous fiery red hair.
"Miss Weasley!".
As soon as these words came out, the man stopped and slowly turned around, it was Ginny Weasley.
Kern was a little puzzled, he didn't know what the purpose of Ginny's appearance here was, could it be that he was coming at him, and walked quickly to Ginny, only to see that his face was panicked, and it was obvious that something was on his mind.
"Miss Weasley, do you have anything to do with me?"
Kern asked tentatively in a slightly softer tone.
After a moment's hesitation, Ginny said, "Mr. Kern, can you give me back that book last night?"
Kern was stunned for a moment, it seemed that the person who took the diary from his dorm room was not Ginny, so who could it be?
"Why do you care so much about a book, could it be that there is a secret in it?".
Kern observes Ginny's reaction, and it stands to reason that Ginny has left the journal and should be free from Tom's influence.
"Hmm... There is something wrong with this book..."
Under the pressure of Kern's eyes, Ginny finally spoke.
Kern's eyes flashed, it seemed that Ginny should be free from Tom's influence, maybe trying to make up for something at the moment.
"That's too bad, the book is out of my hands. "
Kern's look of annoyance suddenly made Ginny a little confused.
"I put him on the table in my room in the morning and woke up and was gone. "
As soon as these words came out, Ginny panicked even more.
"Looks like this should be serious, we should tell Headmaster Dumbledore. Kern said with a serious face, and the situation was exactly what he wanted.
He also didn't want to run into a basilisk around the corner of the school hallway one day, that would be absolutely bad.
And although he knew something, he couldn't tell Dumbledore properly, and now it was through Ginny to poke this matter out, so that Hogwarts could be safed for a short time.
Ginny seemed hesitant, fearing that she would be punished for this, but Kern did not give her a chance to hesitate and led her directly to the door of the headmaster's office, only to see a griffon statue blocking her way.
"Password!".
This stumped Kern, as the lowest level of the Hogwarts staff, how did he know the password to enter the headmaster's office.
Just as he was embarrassed, a cold voice suddenly sounded behind him.
"What are you doing here?".
Kern looked back and saw that it was Snape, staring at them with his cold, unforgiving eyes as if he were being targeted by a poisonous snake that could have thought of them at any moment.
