Hogwarts: This Dark Lord is so evil

#11 - Tom, don't you pay attention to the occasion when you speak?

The distance from the Wools Orphanage to the Leaky Cauldron wasn't exactly short; in fact, it could be considered quite far.

However, both Tom and Leif were penniless.

So, they had no choice but to walk all the way to the neighborhood where the Leaky Cauldron was located.

By now, they had changed out of the orphanage's uniform robes and each put on a worn-out jacket.

Tom even wore a slightly oversized newsboy cap.

Of course, these were all old clothes donated to the orphanage; they couldn't afford to buy clothes.

"I think we should ask Mrs. Cole for some money and take a ride or something."

After walking for more than an hour, Tom felt very tired.

Leif glared at Tom. "Have you forgotten that we sneaked out this morning? And, it seems that you were the one who suggested sneaking out quietly."

"Hmph… I just didn't want to bother explaining so much to her." Tom couldn't help but bend down and rub his legs. "Besides, you didn't object, did you?"

"I have my reasons for not objecting, of course." Leif said, suddenly putting his hand on Tom's shoulder, "Don't look back, let's keep walking."

"What's wrong?" Tom asked, confused.

"Haven't you noticed that someone is following us?" Leif said calmly.

"What? Who is it?"

"Don't look back, Tom… Let's go this way." Leif said, leading Tom to suddenly turn into a small alley next to them.

Tom followed Leif into the alley and hid at a corner, completely puzzled.

"I say, who exactly is following us?" Tom asked doubtfully.

"I guess it's a kidnapper," Leif said. "After all, a good-looking little boy like you can definitely be sold for a good price."

Tom said angrily, "How do you know they aren't after you? You're so 'pretty' that the old cat has arranged a room for you!"

"Shhh…" Leif gestured for silence.

Just then, a man and a woman hurried into the alley.

The man looked tall and strong, dressed like a laborer. The woman had her face tightly wrapped in a scarf.

"Where did they go?" the man asked in a rough voice.

"I just saw them turn in here," the woman's voice sounded hoarse.

"This alley is a dead end. Once they're in here, they must still be inside!" The man walked inward, looking around with sinister eyes.

The woman followed closely behind him, taking out a dirty handkerchief and a brown glass bottle, sprinkling something from the bottle onto the handkerchief as she walked.

Tom quietly glanced at the man through a crack in the wall, and couldn't help but frown slightly.

"I said, there seemed to be police patrolling not far ahead just now. Why didn't we look for them? Even if we just passed by the police, those two kidnappers wouldn't dare to follow us! Why did we have to turn into this dead end?"

Leif looked at Tom with a shocked expression, "Good heavens! Tom actually wants to find the police when he's in danger?! Where did the Tom who would knock people's noses with a rusty fire poker at the slightest disagreement go?"

Tom glared at Leif angrily, "I'm just not sure if my magic can control him, he's too strong… You don't think I'm afraid of him, do you?"

"It's okay, I can understand, Tom, you're still young after all…" Leif patted Tom on the shoulder to comfort him.

"I said! I'm not afraid of him at all!" The veins on Tom's neck bulged.

"Ah, yes, yes… Of course, the great Mr. Riddle wouldn't be afraid of an ordinary person, would he? So… the woman will be left to you, and I'll deal with the man."

"Damn it! Can't you understand human language?"

Tom was about to be driven mad by Leif. Leaving the woman to him and dealing with the man himself, wasn't that still saying that he was afraid of the man?

"Tom, why are you so angry? I agree with everything you said!"

"You! Bastard!"

The two people's argument grew louder and louder, and soon attracted the attention of the man and woman.

"Aha! You little brats, so you were hiding here!" The man shouted excitedly.

This was a hidden dead end. For these two little brats to hide here was simply walking right into their trap.

"Hehe, come with us, I'll take you to eat something delicious." The woman said with a smile, her eyes looking at Leif and Tom as if they were two gold nuggets.

Two handsome little boys, with no adults around! This was simply free money!

The greedy gazes of these two people made Tom feel disgusted and angry. The anger that had been stirred up by Leif earlier was instantly ignited.

"Get out of here! You two filthy bastards!"

Tom rushed out in a rage.

"Boom!"

The man and woman were instantly sent flying as if they had been hit by an invisible carriage!

Leif's eyes lit up as he watched from behind.

Emotions are indeed a key factor in enhancing the power of magic! It was worth it for him to spend so much effort to anger Tom.

Tom also looked at his hands with surprise, seemingly very shocked that he could use magic of this power just now.

Then, he looked at Leif, his eyes flashing with a dangerous light.

At this time, the two people had just landed after rolling on the ground. The woman fainted on the spot, while the man struggled to get up.

He looked at Tom in horror, and then struggled to run towards the alley entrance, as if a demon was following him.

But the next second, his whole person was frozen in place! Standing still, like a statue.

Leif slowly walked out from behind Tom.

"You can't be distracted in battle, Tom."

Tom looked at the man who had silently become like a statue, his eyes becoming clear again.

The confidence that had risen just now because of his extraordinary performance was also suppressed by Leif.

'No… I can't beat Leif yet… I can't turn against him yet!'

"We should go, we've wasted a lot of time," Tom urged.

"Wait a minute, Tom, things aren't over yet." Leif said, walking up to the man.

He held out his right hand and snapped his fingers in front of the man, and the man's head instantly came out of petrification.

However, his body was still like a statue, unable to move at all!

"You… demon! Demon! Spare me! Don't eat me! I don't want to die yet!" The man was so frightened that he was crying and sniveling.

Tom had just knocked him away from a distance, and now his body had been turned into a statue…

Such a supernatural phenomenon was enough to scare him out of his wits, it was already considered that he was brave.

"Shut up, or I'll make you a statue forever!" Leif said coldly.

The man immediately shut his mouth. When he was petrified just now, all his senses were still there.

The feeling of being able to feel everything but not being able to move at all was simply too terrifying!

He didn't want to try it a second time, let alone not being able to move for the rest of his life!

Leif asked expressionlessly, "Tell me, where is your lair? Who is your boss? How many children do you have? And… where is your money hidden?"

Tom suddenly realized, "So you want to rob them!"

"I'm saving people, this is doing good deeds!"

"You're talking nonsense! If you want to save people, why are you asking where the money is? You clearly want to rob them!"

"Tom… don't you pay attention to the occasion when you speak?"
