Hogwarts: Wizards of Eternity

#164 - Kill the Ministry of Magic?

“I don't think my existence can help with the things you're worried about,” Nicolas Flamel finally said after exchanging a few words with him.

After Nicolas Flamel had a deeper understanding of Roger's danger.

Not only did he not listen to Dumbledore's advice, but he became even more determined in his own ideas.

“Roger is a measured person.”

“He won't act rashly when he's not sure.”

“So the things you're worried about must be happening a very long time from now.”

Because of his agreement with Roger, Dumbledore didn't tell Nicolas Flamel the detailed content of the Three-Dimensional Magic, but Dumbledore had said a little about some general things.

For example, once Nicolas Flamel switches to Three-Dimensional Magic, his accumulation over the past few centuries will quickly materialize and become incredibly powerful.

But if Roger wants to implement those dangerous plans, it will be a long time from now.”

“With Roger's growth rate, are you sure I'll still be able to stop him by then?”

Nicolas Flamel's strengthening is not growth, but the realization of the past. His power is limited.

When all his foundations become combat power, his speed of progress will no longer be able to keep up with Roger.

Unless Nicolas Flamel also wants to learn from Voldemort and do some crazy things like 'living a second life' to enter a second growth period.

Doing crazy things definitely has risks.

But if Nicolas Flamel wants to stop being human for this, wouldn't that be putting the cart before the horse?

“So, just let nature take its course.”

On the fifth day of school, Roger, who had just finished discussing with the Weasley twins why their virtual reality world structure during the summer vacation had failed, finally took the time to knock on the door of the Hogwarts Headmaster's office again.

“Go to the Ministry of Magic?” Dumbledore frowned slightly when he heard the reason for Roger's visit.

He was still thinking about his conversation with Nicolas Flamel yesterday.

“Yes.” Roger nodded.

“Voldemort's resurrection has not been fully resolved yet, so we can't startle the snake for the time being.”

“But we can't let him do whatever he wants within the Ministry of Magic.”

“Besides, aren't some people trying to find trouble with me?”

“It's a good opportunity to deal with them all at once.”

As he spoke, Roger rubbed his forehead.

Even though he had completed all the academic work at Hogwarts, he was far more tired than any student at school.

Of course, he couldn't blame others for this.

If he hadn't scheduled so many plans so tightly, he wouldn't be so busy.

But there was no way around it.

He couldn't stand the thought of being able to do more but choosing to be lazy.

In a sense, this was also a kind of battlefield PTSD.

Back in the Middle East, Roger really treated every day as the last day of his life.

Many of the habits from that time have continued to this day.

This has nothing to do with willpower; it's purely because some things have been etched into his bones.

If it were purely magical research, it would be fine. Roger could experience the joy of solving puzzles and becoming stronger.

But dealing with interpersonal relationships and playing politics were things Roger really didn't like to do.

But Roger had to do it.

Not to mention now, there will probably be many similar things waiting for him in the future.

Unless he wants to let some problems grow wildly, Roger must intervene in many things. For example, if someone wants to link things like Disaster Killing with Second Magic, Roger will definitely step in to clean up the house.

“I need to borrow the school's Floo Network fireplace.”

“Headmaster Dumbledore, are you going too?” Roger asked.

Dumbledore thought for a moment.

Of course, he wanted to go together to prevent Roger from causing any big news.

But he was the President of the International Confederation of Wizards and the Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot. His political status in Britain was extraordinary. Was it appropriate for him to go with him?

Dumbledore was worried that his actions would be seen as taking sides.

After all, the matter Roger was dealing with now was that the school board and their political enemies were using Roger's technological development as a stage for political struggle.

He didn't want his presence to amplify the conflict.

After thinking for a moment, Dumbledore had a good idea.

“No, I have things to do.”

“But it's not good for you to go alone.”

“How about this, let Professor McGonagall go with you.”

Professor McGonagall had a very good relationship with Roger and was also a reliable person. With her watching, Dumbledore was basically at ease.

“Oh.” Roger didn't react much.

He was just asking casually and didn't care if Dumbledore really wanted to come.

Anyway, what he was going to do this time was just a small matter.

“If I remember correctly, Professor McGonagall, you have a class this afternoon, right?” Roger asked as he walked out of the row of fireplaces with gold trim on both sides of the Ministry of Magic lobby.

Floo Network's spatial transmission is much better than Apparition.

“Three o'clock in the afternoon, it's the class for first-year Ravenclaw and Gryffindor students.” Professor McGonagall replied.

And it was one o'clock in the afternoon now.

“Then there's plenty of time.” Roger didn't want to waste too much time on this matter.

The two walked towards the Ministry of Magic's elevator as they spoke.

Every time Roger took this elevator, he had a special feeling.

The first time he took it was to be judged. Every time he came after that, it was with a different identity.

The floor numbers of the Ministry of Magic building were inverted.

The top floor was the first floor, the main hall was the eighth floor, and the Wizengamot courtroom where Roger was once tried was located on the tenth floor underground.

And where Roger was going this time was the first floor.

Fudge's place.

But Roger wasn't looking for Fudge.

He didn't have any intention of “finding a parent.”

“Good afternoon, Minister for Magic Fudge.”

“Good afternoon, Director Roger.” Roger's sudden visit was somewhat unexpected to Fudge.

So he used his official title to test Roger's intentions.

If Roger didn't refute this title…

Fudge thought of some rumors within the Ministry of Magic recently and had an ominous premonition in his heart.

“Sorry, it's not very convenient to talk about some things in other places in the Ministry of Magic. After thinking about it, I think here might be the most suitable place, so I'm borrowing your precious space.”

“This—” Before Fudge could figure out how to answer.

One of Roger's eyes became somewhat lifeless.

Then.

【Reverse · Apparition!】

A strange sound of continuous spatial fluctuations appeared.

Then, as if dropping dumplings, several wizards holding important positions within the Ministry of Magic instantly appeared in the Minister for Magic's office!

“I heard that you seem to have some opinions about me?”

“Now, I am here. If you have any opinions, you might as well tell me to my face.”

“How about it?” Looking at the Ministry of Magic officials who were confused and didn't know what had happened, Roger said with a smile.
