Hogwarts: Wizards of Eternity
#70 - Deathly Hallows and Supernatural Properties
Similar to the Deathly Hallows and the Philosopher's Stone, magical items of legendary nature are imbued with the collective thoughts of many.
In this world of magic, people's thoughts truly possess power.
The Three-Dimensional Theory, in its development, requires the constant acquisition of new medium dimensions and their advancement into higher-order medium dimensions that are easier to manipulate.
But how can new medium dimensions be obtained?
Things with concrete physical properties like lightning, fire, and light are easier to handle; modifying and associating them using the body as a carrier will always lead to a solution.
But… how can abstract concepts like death, vectors, and order, which have no corresponding physical forms, become medium dimensions that can be controlled?
At this moment, Roger suddenly realized that the alchemical items created by the Outer Gods, whose essence was 'Crystals of Thought Magic,' might be a breakthrough!

Perhaps, one day, he could dissect the 'transcendent characteristics' within these alchemical artifacts and transform them into steps on his path to ascension.
Roger wasn't sure if this method would work, but just as he didn't know how far the Three-Dimensional Theory could go, he would still choose to pursue it.
Since there was a possibility, he might as well try it; it was better than doing nothing.
Of course, there was no need to discuss such matters in detail with Harry.
After so much time spent in school, even if Roger was oblivious to how others perceived him, he had realized one thing.
Everyone was particularly superstitious about his prophetic abilities!
In the wizarding world, prophecy, like thought, possesses tangible power.
Because Roger didn't share the annoying habit of other seers who liked to speak in riddles, he often revealed 'spoilers' in a very ordinary and natural tone.
This led to a somewhat troublesome result for Roger.
A casual remark from him could be taken as a prophecy!
Now, Roger understood why many powerful seers who could more easily observe the future actually preferred to speak in riddles, just like those mediocre ones.
If you don't speak in riddles, people will freely misinterpret your words, but if you do, they can't misinterpret them even if they want to.
However, Roger really had no interest in speaking with three layers of indirection, so he was now extremely cautious.
He tried to avoid using overly assertive tones.
He wouldn't give others false hope about things that were far from certain.
Just a slight mention to prepare Harry mentally would be enough.
"I see… I understand."
Roger didn't know what Harry understood, but seeing that his mood had clearly improved, Roger didn't say anything more.
Hogwarts' Christmas feast proceeded smoothly, without any further complications.
Although some students wondered why they hadn't seen Professor Quirrell all day, even though he was a professor staying at school, he hadn't attended the feast, but no one mentioned it much.
Children are more concerned with the delicious food in front of them than with adult matters.
.
.
.
The children had a happy Christmas, but for adult wizards, it was a sleepless night.
Of course, not because of the Three-Dimensional Theory that Roger had shared with Dumbledore.
Dumbledore knew that if this thing really worked, it could completely subvert everything, so he wouldn't easily discuss this dangerous thing until he had a clear understanding of it.
What kept the professors up all night was Quirrell.
The 'disappearance' of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor was no small matter for the only magic school in the entire UK.
It was bound to attract some attention.
Quirrell's death would definitely have to be announced.
But how he died was a matter of debate.
"A curse, how about that?" Snape suggested expressionlessly.
As one of the parties involved, Snape certainly knew that Quirrell had been sacrificed by Voldemort using dark magic.
But such things could not be told to outsiders.
Currently, Voldemort was in the shadows; announcing that he was still alive and causing a stir would not benefit anyone.
"I don't think that's appropriate," McGonagall retorted, pursing her lips.
"The curse on the Defense Against the Dark Arts position is real, but if you attribute Quirrell's death to the curse, how will we recruit someone next year?"
Dumbledore had just said that Snape would be teaching the Defense Against the Dark Arts class for the second half of the year, and she had no objection to that.
Although Gryffindor and Slytherin were not on good terms, from a teacher's perspective, McGonagall believed that Snape was an excellent teacher who could teach the Defense Against the Dark Arts course well.
But the existence of the curse meant that Snape couldn't teach it forever; eventually, a new person would have to be recruited next year.
If they followed Snape's suggestion, what if no one dared to apply?
They couldn't just find an ignorant fool who knew nothing about Defense Against the Dark Arts, not even understanding what a curse was, to teach a superficial course for a year, just to prove to the outside world that the 'outbreak period' of the curse was over and it wouldn't cause death anymore, right?
"Then what do you suggest?" Filius Flitwick, the head of Ravenclaw House and a half-goblin, stood on a stool to bring his line of sight level with everyone else.
Such major Hogwarts events that required notification to the Board of Governors and the Ministry of Magic were not solely decided by Headmaster Dumbledore. Deputy Headmistress and Head of Gryffindor House Professor McGonagall, the heads of Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff, naturally had the right to speak.
"If you have a better method, then we'll do it your way." Filius Flitwick didn't have any objections to McGonagall; he simply believed that mere complaining without offering a better solution was meaningless. You had to come up with a better plan to make it worthwhile.
"I…" Professor McGonagall had just opened her mouth when she was interrupted by Pomona Sprout, the head of Hufflepuff House.
"Besides the cause of death, you also need to carefully consider the 'characterization' of Quirrell himself. Professor Quirrell has been at Hogwarts for many years, and you should know his past behavior. There must be some twists and turns in his standing with You-Know-Who."
"We'd better leave some room for maneuver and not make any definitive conclusions."
"…" After listening to Sprout's words, Professor McGonagall swallowed back the words that were on the tip of her tongue.
After a period of discussion, considering all aspects, everyone finally agreed to the first version of the plan, which was Snape's 'curse' proposal.
As for how to recruit a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor next year, Professor Dumbledore said he would find a way.
.
.
.
Roger was a man of his word.
He was also someone who didn't like to procrastinate.
The morning after Christmas, he knocked on the door of Headmaster Dumbledore's office.
"Let's go, Headmaster. As we agreed yesterday, I'll show you my progress."
Dumbledore didn't expect Roger to come so early: "I remember you said we needed to find a deserted place. Would the outskirts of London be suitable?"
But since he had come, Dumbledore, wanting to know what Roger had created, stood up and prepared to use Apparition again.
"The outskirts of London are still too close to people," Roger shook his head.
"Then where do you plan to go?"
Roger smiled slightly: "Could we go to the Pacific Ocean?"
"… Go where?" Dumbledore felt that the number of times he was bewildered by Roger was more than the total for the entire year in previous years.
What exactly is your creation?!
