Chapter 551: Hufflepuff and the Fried-Ended Whelk

If Harry thought things would get better once everyone got used to him as a player, he was dead wrong.

After coming out of the owl room, Harry has been in the middle of the whirlpool of public opinion, and no one can help him.

As soon as he went back to class, he couldn't help bumping into other people. Apparently, like the Gryffindor gang, the others thought Harry had signed up for the competition himself.

Unlike Gryffindors, they are not happy at all.

Hufflepuff's students usually get along well with Gryffindor's students, but now, they have all become very indifferent.

A herbalism class says it all.

Clearly, Hufflepuff's students felt that Harry was stealing the limelight from their contestants. This may be because they rarely get any honors, so they fight for Cedric, the man who defeated Gryffindor in the Quidditch game and won honors for them.

Macmey and Fraley, who usually get along well with Harry, don't talk to him now.

Although they still played bouncing ball on the same board, although sometimes they laughed when Harry's bouncing ball jumped out and hit him in the face.

Ron didn't speak to Harry either, and Hermione sat between them, forcing them to talk. Although the two answered her as usual, they did not look at each other. In the end, Fan Lin had to take Hermione away.

These two people are hopeless.

Harry felt that Professor Sputrow had alienated him a lot - understandably, she was Head of Hufflepuff.

Normally, Harry looked forward to Hagrid's class, but Care of Magical Creatures meant meeting Slytherins. This is his first meeting with them as a player.

As expected, Malfoy came to Hagrid's cabin with his usual sneer.

Hey, look, here comes the contestant, he said to Clarke and Goyle, within Harry's earshot.

Have you got an autographed book? Better get an autograph now. I'm afraid he won't live long... Half the Triwizards are dead... How long do you think you'll last, Potter? I guess, the first If you start a mission less than ten minutes later, you'll be a fool, but my father doesn't agree, he thinks you'll take less than three minutes.

Clara and Goyle roared with laughter, they were kissing Malfoy's ass. Malfoy stopped talking, as Hagrid spun out from the back of the house, holding a crumbling tower of wooden boxes, each containing a large snail.

Terrifyingly, Hagrid started explaining why the snails were killing each other, because they had too much energy in captivity.

The solution is for each classmate to tie a belt to each snail and take him for a walk.

Fan Lin didn't even dare to imagine what kind of belt he would use to take these fire-breathing shellfish on their tails for a walk.

Hagrid thought it was a golden retriever? Or Erha?

Are you kidding them?

Of course, this is not without benefits.

The only good thing about this plan was that it completely distracted Malfoy from Harry.

Take this thing for a walk? He looked into the box, disgusted. And where do you put the leash on it? Around the sting, the tail, or the sucker?

Tie in the middle, said Hagrid, demonstrating. Er, probably wear dragonhide gloves as a special precaution. Harry - you come over here and help me keep an eye on this big...

In fact, his intention was to talk to Harry alone.

After everyone else had left with their Blast-Ended Whelks, he said to Harry very seriously, So, Harry, you're going to be competing as a school player?

One of the school's contestants, Harry corrected him.

Hagrid's near-sighted eyes under his bushy eyebrows looked worried.

Harry, do you have any idea who put your name in there?

You believe I didn't do it? After hearing Hagrid's words, Harry struggled to express his gratitude for it.

Of course I do. Hagrid snorted. If you say it's not you, it's not you. I believe it, and Dumbledore believes it, and everyone believes it.

I really want to know who did it. Harry was in pain.

The two looked at the lawn, the whole class had dispersed, and with some effort, the snails were three feet long.

Strong and powerful, they are no longer colorless and shellless, but have grown a thick layer of shiny gray armor, they look like giant scorpions, and they also look like elongated crabs. It's a pity that it is still blind.

Now they are robust and almost unruly.

Hermione, be careful... Fan Lin shouted from afar.

Fan Lin grabbed the snail directly with his magic power, and then slowly moved to Hermione's side.

The strength of this damn thing is too great, he and Hermione were pulled down several times, Fan Lin has completely lost his patience.

Looks like they're having a good time, huh? Hagrid was quite happy.

Harry thought he meant snails. His fellow students must have been unhappy because any of the snails would have jumped away with a whoosh, usually by a few yards. At that time, the person who pulled it would be miserable, and would be pulled to the ground by it. Now there are several people on the ground over there, struggling desperately to stand up.

Maybe, if only they weren't frozen... Harry sighed.

Frozen? Hagrid was a little confused, You mean...

It's nothing, Hagrid... Harry shook his head, staring at a few of his good friends.

Well, Harry, I don't know. Hagrid sighed suddenly, looking at him worriedly. The school's contestants, why did you run into everything?

Harry didn't answer, yes, everything seemed to catch up with him. More or less as Hermione had told him on their walk by the lake, which, as far as she could tell, was why Ron didn't speak to him anymore.

But the same is true for Fan Lin?

However, the relationship between Fan Lin and Ron has not been particularly good... Moreover, Fan Lin is usually very low-key at Hogwarts, no one thinks he is a celebrity, of course, before the Quidditch World Cup incident.

The rest of the day at Hogwarts turned out to be terrible for Harry.

He has been through similar situations before. It was second grade, and during those months most of the school suspected him of assaulting classmates. But then he had Ron by his side to support him.

But now, he thought, if he had a friend like Ron by his side to support him, he could handle all the rest of the school.

But if Ron didn't want to talk to him, he wouldn't try to talk him into it. Still, he felt alone, with the disgusting stares thrown at him from all directions, and it felt awful.

He didn't want to trouble Fan Lin, he wanted to rely on himself and Hermione.

He was glad that he and Ron had such a pair of sober friends, but, after all, it was...
