I created the Bureau of Anomaly Control
#708 - 696 is born
The fairy frowned, looking at the wriggling pile of flesh in confusion. She had turned the goose inside out, but not reversed its gender.
What was going on?
The lump of flesh shook a few times, then made a sighing sound:
"Although it's a bit deformed, it still has that familiar feeling. It's been so many years since I've felt such a clean and simple body. It's just that this form is a bit troublesome..."
As she spoke, she began to squirm forward, her exposed, beating heart slowly moving downwards with her squirming, and then being crushed onto the ground by her heavy flesh.
And when the flesh covered her heart, the lump stopped moving forward. Instead, it began to do the most inadvisable thing—she jumped up in place, and with a muffled sound,
scarlet blood seeped out from the bottom of the flesh lump, along with the shattered heart.
Death descended upon the lump of flesh with all its organs exposed, but not in the way the fairy had expected. In fact, she didn't really want to kill the goose.
It was originally a toy she used to tease the others.
But what happened next made even the knowledgeable fairy feel strange.
Because the already dead flesh lump suddenly twitched a few times, and then a small bulge appeared on its top. If anyone looked closely, they could see a handprint protruding like that of an infant.
It was as if this new life was impatient and eager to break free from its mother's "embrace."
This handprint quickly faded away, but after a few seconds, a symmetrical palm print appeared not far away, and this time the hand looked a circle larger than before.
This time it was like a child's hand.
With a few consecutive pats, the emerging palm prints became larger and larger, and the originally soft, collapsed flesh mud also swelled up like a balloon, as if transformed into a womb nurturing new life.
With a ripping sound, a slender, crimson arm tore through the warm, red flesh lump.
A tall, brown body crawled out of the red nest in a spider-like posture, using four slender limbs to prop itself up nimbly. After turning around in a strange posture a few times, it finally stood up straight.
The woman who broke out of the flesh wiped her face, letting the scarlet flesh flow down her naked body. Then she slightly raised her head and surveyed the scene in front of her with extreme arrogance.
"Whose dream is this? And who is the guy hiding behind you?"
She asked as if a cold monarch was questioning her servants.
Seeing this scene, the fairy frowned and took a few steps back, trying to use the knowledge in her two heads to understand the strange scene in front of her, but she couldn't figure out what was going on.
As for the woman's inexplicable question, she didn't know how to respond.
Seemingly aware of the fairy's confusion, the woman did not continue to ask. Instead, she bent down, grabbed two handfuls of scattered stones, held them in her palm, and then scattered them to her sides at the same time.
She first looked at the stones on the left, and then her arrogant and cold expression slightly relaxed:
"I knew it was someone else's dream again. So it's this guy Ma En."
Then she turned her head to look at the right side, but this time the information revealed by the divination did not make her so relaxed:
"Oh, it wasn't Ma En who called me here. There are other guys behind this? They dare to summon me here, they're quite brave, although I'm indeed much weaker than before..."
"But disrespecting me comes at a price. Let me see who's playing tricks."
As she spoke, Cao Yan ignored the fairy and squatted down, reaching out to fiddle with the pile of stones on the right. As these stones once again formed a shape that only she could understand...
"Hmm?" Cao Yan showed a bit of suspicion, seemingly a little unwilling to believe what she was seeing. Then she turned around and pinched the handful of stones she used to divine for Ma En and threw them down again.
However, the result remained the same.
Cao Yan stood up abruptly, looking solemnly at the stones on the ground and muttering:
"How is this possible?"
After saying that, she raised her head to look around, carefully observing the scene in front of her, and casting her gaze on a few seemingly ordinary trees, her eyes becoming more and more sharp.
"Sure enough." These scenes finally made her accept the fact, "I didn't expect this..."
The fairy finally couldn't bear it anymore:
"What exactly are you talking about? What was all that just now? Answer me properly. I can attack you once, and I can attack you a second time."
Cao Yan finally turned her gaze to the fairy, but the look in her eyes didn't have the fear that the fairy expected at all.
Instead, there was a bit of pity.
"You guys have gone mad," Cao Yan said, "It's a pity I don't have any magic power now, so I can't change what has already happened to you. This isn't my memory either, so I can only do so much.
"But I owe someone a favor, so close your eyes now, or keep them open, it doesn't matter."
The fairy blinked her four eyes in confusion, cautiously taking a few steps back.
Then she saw Cao Yan pick up the blood bag she had just come out of and directly buckle it over her head. Seeing this, the fairy quickly flapped her wings, trying to escape.
But the broken blood bag seemed to contain some kind of magic power, preventing her from moving.
Pa.
The tattered blood bag scattered randomly on the ground.
And the fairy had disappeared.
Having dealt with the fairy, Cao Yan raised her head and looked in the direction where Ma En and the others were, and the surrounding fog began to dissipate gradually with the fairy's departure.
But she did not walk towards Ma En and the others.
This matter had nothing to do with her, nor was it something she could interfere with.
The result of the divination had already made the meaning very clear.
Cao Yan turned around and walked away from Ma En and the others. She didn't plan to leave just like that, but instead prepared to wander around here.
It wasn't that she couldn't leave here, in fact, it wouldn't be difficult for her at all.
Because unlike Ma En and the others' situation, which was real for them, or at least a blurred version of reality, everything was just a dream for Cao Yan.
As long as she opened her eyes, she could wake up.
But there were many things in this dream that she had never seen before, and they were all things that had once really existed, because the basic materials of a dream were fragments of the dreamers' memories.
Even if the combination of these materials might be very illogical, the materials themselves were real, and they were all kinds of scenes that they had once seen with their own eyes. And there were many things in this memory that Cao Yan was also interested in.
Like the few trees that had just appeared in front of her, she had only seen them in books.
After all, she wasn't even born in this era.
