I'm a monster in Demon King's Castle
#388 - Brain-0 Prototype and Bone-0 Creation Armor
A jacket-like skeleton slowly emerged from the conveyor belt. Between the two inner linings of the jacket was encased a skull, with distorted eyes inserted into the eye sockets. It was clearly based on Little Chatterbox, with an external skeletal structure added.
Around the edge of the skeleton was a ring of rivet-like iron designs. Li Yue immediately recognized them as the tips of electric towers.
The jacket had holes on all four sides. If Li Yue were still in his brain spirit body, he would undoubtedly immediately sense their function. As a shadow body, he would have to explore them internally.
At the same time, the Brain-0 prototype was pushed in front of the throne, and Copper Spoon's voice rang out at the appropriate moment.
"Combining the power design of the magic locomotive, I have successfully replaced the energy source with electricity..."
Li Yue indeed saw a small battery embedded in the back of the skull, surrounded by a power transmission system.
"It can fly," Copper Spoon announced, stunning everyone.
It can fly just like that?
"You, come here." As if rehearsed, Copper Spoon beckoned, and a brain spirit floated from outside the door of the Bloody Corridor, drilling into the prototype from the open skull.
The motor started, and the holes in the jacket emitted heat. Then, like a hand cannon, it sprayed out airflow. The entire jacket popped up with a "poof" sound, like a fart, propelling it backward.
Immediately afterward, the brain spirit adjusted the angle of the jacket, and the prototype popped up diagonally. Then, with another "poof" sound, it changed position. The brain spirit, wearing it, began to jump around in front of the throne, diagonally up and down.
Like a water flea dancing in the air.
That's considered flying?
Li Yue's understanding of "flying" wasn't like this.
At least it should be like the Flying Dagger, right?
"I know what you're thinking," Copper Spoon waved his hand. "The current design of the Brain-0 prototype doesn't support continuous flight because there's no application scenario yet."
"Otherwise, I could completely imitate the helicopter design I once saw in your brain and make the prototype truly take off." Copper Spoon didn't think being like a water flea was a problem at all. "Anyway, the power issue has been solved. Just add a bone propeller on top and make it spin."
Li Yue agreed.
"But propellers are easily damaged, and the library doesn't have a test flight site right now, so our prototype is good enough as it is," Copper Spoon had already considered similar issues.
"Then what is the application scenario you're talking about?" Li Yue wrote, the prototype still jumping in front of him. Looking at it for a long time, he did find them erratic and difficult to capture.
"Reconnaissance, dogfighting, and bombing from above," Copper Spoon said, waving his hand to call the prototype down. He took out several parts, including a hand cannon, grenade-sized bone bullets, and a Lava Right Hand and Wolf Fang.
"The prototype can carry electric towers, hand cannons, projectiles, and other parts to achieve different effects." Copper Spoon first installed the hand cannon on the jacket. While the water flea in the air was jumping, it fired at the throne with a strange rhythm.
However, not a single shot landed on Li Yue or Dandan. Like a tracing master, all the shots went to the back, outlining the Bone Throne, obviously with great accuracy.
While firing, the rivets on the jacket were also discharging electricity, crackling and sparkling like a shining disco ball.
After the hand cannon and electric tower were demonstrated, Copper Spoon then selected specific holes in the jacket and inserted the Wolf Fang. With several "dud dud dud" sounds, the Wolf Fangs shot into the bone wall like bullets. The impact was top-notch, much more ruthless than a rifled gun.
And it came with an unstoppable "bleeding" effect.
"Then what about these?" Li Yue used his shadow to make an arrow, pointing to the grenade-sized bone bullets piled at Copper Spoon's feet.
"Imitating the explosion principle you used when making the bone tree, combined with the dwarf tank's explosive shells, I created this batch of bone bullets suitable for throwing and launching." Copper Spoon didn't install the bone bullets on the prototype, but directly threw them into the corner of the bone house's living room.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
One exploded with lava, one exploded with Wolf Fang, and one exploded with a large amount of viscous dusky earth.
Li Yue's eyes lit up—wasn't this the artillery barrage he had been looking forward to?
With these bone bullets, he wouldn't have to primitively pour raw materials directly onto the target.
"Depending on the types of raw materials you can provide, our types of bone bullets will continue to be enriched." Copper Spoon scratched his beard and picked up a grenade-sized bone bullet. "Currently, there are 4 specifications, corresponding to four creations respectively, but if you have the strength and interest to throw them around, there are no restrictions on how to use them."
Speaking of this, Copper Spoon became rough again—the personality of the Copper Dwarf was just so rough, casual, and approachable, as long as it worked.
"Very good." Li Yue was very satisfied with the Brain-0 prototype. After all, the cost of this creation was well controlled, using only the basic materials in the Demon Illustrated Handbook, without using expensive materials like brain spirit pituitary glands.
In addition, the design of the bone bullets also made up for the lack of combat power of other demons. In the future, should a munitions depot be set up in the library?
"According to human timekeeping methods, the Brain-0 prototype can fly for 3 hours under continuous discharge."
"If the load-bearing problem can be solved, or if the brain spirits' telekinesis can be enhanced, then it can also carry some heavier things to increase the prototype's firepower and coverage."
"If the size is increased, it can also increase the survival rate of the brain spirit pilots." Copper Spoon also pointed out the feasibility of the Brain-0 prototype in the future, hinting that Li Yue should get more magic stones to help the brain spirits grow their brains faster.
Li Yue's shadow trembled, almost laughing out loud.
Isn't that perfect? What are demon streamers for?
However, Copper Spoon's presentation was not over, and Li Yue was still very steady and didn't immediately take out new materials.
"What else? What other creations?" The water flea in front of him was still jumping, and Li Yue couldn't help but wonder if the brain spirits and skeletons had been staying together for too long, occasionally picking up some habits of loving to dance.
"You go down." Copper Spoon waved his hand, and the brain spirit obediently took off the prototype and disappeared into the door of the Bloody Corridor, very obedient.
It seemed that after Copper Spoon created various creations, his prestige in the library had also increased a lot.
After the brain spirit left, Galarick came in, winking at the three demon sons on the throne, but didn't say a word.
Maybe he did, but Li Yue wasn't reading the skeleton's thoughts now, so he didn't hear it.
"The next exhibit, Bone-0 Creation Armor."
As soon as Copper Spoon announced, a dozen human skins were pushed in on the conveyor belt, with a pile of armor, clothing, or self-healing bones next to each skin.
Li Yue was curious about what Galarick was winking about, and also curious about what the sundries piled next to the human skin meant.
The human skin was the new skin made by Copper Spoon disassembling the toy human skin that Li Yue left for Mini and Minnie. Although it was much rougher, at least it could show some meaning.
Galarick seemed to exist in Li Yue's Demon Illustrated Handbook, constantly changing human skins, matching different clothes, and wearing different appearances.
There were Tas Empire troops, priests of the Holy See, and even ragged beggars.
The appearance was different, but the same was that each human skin had several freely opening and closing skin seams, which were convenient for the skeletons to load or remove batteries, hand cannons, or projectiles.
In addition, two sets of skins were special. One set of shoes was like roller skates, full of small wheels, and the other set simply matched a bone horse made of self-healing bones.
"This is the Bone-0 Creation Armor. It is the ground force of the library. It can be disguised for assassination, assault, raid, or suicide, as you like."
As Copper Spoon said, Galarick rode the bone horse to open fire at the sky, throw bombs, and shoot Wolf Fang, turning the front of the throne into a battlefield.
"Okay, okay, I get it. You put all the usable things on the skeletons to enhance their combat power," Li Yue wanted to stop Galarick.
"No, you don't get it," Copper Spoon and Galarick said in unison.
