1 – Even the demons were shocked and envious of the dark sorcerer!

“Eek! Pervert!”

“Ugh!”

A man accidentally brushed against a woman’s skirt, wearing a perverted expression, and found himself soaring into the sky with a single punch from the woman. He flew with glee, piercing through someone else’s ceiling, only to crash down.

In an ordinary world, this wouldn’t happen, but here, it was possible. After all, this was the realm of a comedic anime.

“I’m going to be late like this.”

Students hurrying, whether something unusual happened or not.

“Seriously… my panties don’t look cute today…”

A female student shedding tears over an odd concern.

“Hm-hahaha! I am the greatest man in this world!”

“As expected of our teacher!”

A physical education teacher with gravity-defying hair, eyes gleaming like flames, and students with tightly-knit hairstyles following behind.

I was living in a world where all of this was normal. Well, I was living or so I thought.

Staring at the ceiling covered in pitch-black dust, I muttered,

“It’s an unfamiliar ceiling.”

When I tried to put those words into words, an indescribable sense of satisfaction welled up.

“I really wanted to say this!”

Thinking so, I sat up, creaking.

The place where I had been lying down was a deeply sunken, moldy bed. The room was so narrow that it could barely accommodate two people lying down.

“I’m reminded of the prison I spent a week in with a false accusation, haha.”

The sudden change in environment wasn’t so shocking to me, who had lived in a world of maximum humor. I just got up from the bed with a nonchalant attitude.

“Huh?”

It was only then that I looked down at my body, feeling a distinct sense of shortening.

“Uh?”

Perplexed by the significantly reduced length, I quickly got up from the bed. Judging by the height, I looked around 13 years old.

“Now I’m getting younger as I do things.”

I’m not some kind of joke…

Feeling absurd, I burst into laughter and soon started to look around the room.

“What is this? Is it really a prison?”

When I saw the bars on the small window above the drab gray room, I began to think it might really be a prison.

“Let’s explore the surroundings first.”

There was no need to search every nook and cranny. The room only had a small bed and a desk. The desk had no drawers, and the only thing I could find was an old book.

“Where…”

I unfolded the stiff and worn book like a paper that had been wet and dried.

“Having become a slave through dirty bloodlines, Odil, who saved me, is my god and savior.”

“What nonsense is this?”

The contents were all praises for a black magician named Odil.

“Pfft, what kind of name is Odil? This name appeared in the novel I read yesterday. Can there really be a name like this?” I wondered, but it seemed true.

“Where is my brother Odie?” I scoffed at the words that seemed to be used only in such situations, and my body suddenly froze.

“…Novel?”

This is insane.

I urgently threw the book aside and grabbed my hair. The old string tying my hair at the back came undone. When I saw the pure white hair falling down to my shoulders, my eyes shook aimlessly.

“No, this can’t be!”

I clutched my hair and let out a choked sigh.

“When did I ever leave a novel-length comment of 5,800 characters?! Or did I accompany the author until the end of the serialization?! I just fell asleep while lazily reading popular novels, that’s all I have to blame!”

I couldn’t scream it out loud because I knew how dangerous this world is.

“And of all things, I had to possess the body of the villain in a dark fantasy novel?!”

Unlike the common cliche, the body I possessed was not that of a noble family’s child!

“No, this must be a dream. Yes, it must be a dream.”

I twisted and turned, lying on the bed, clasping my hands tightly together, and closed my eyes.

“Please, God, let this be a dream. Please, please, please.”

With closed eyes, I murmured a desperate prayer in my heart, but suddenly realized something and slightly opened my eyes, murmuring.

“…Status window.”

…Nothing happened. Damn it.

I muttered under my breath, covering my eyes with both hands.

“This is a dream. Yes, it’s a dream.”

As I murmured to myself as if brainwashing, my heart became somewhat lighter.

“Yes, maybe this is actually a dream. It’s not like this has only happened once or twice.”

Using dreams to showcase the ‘if world’ of a comedy anime is common sense among common sense.

“Should I just die? Then won’t I wake up?”

I realized that jumping out of the window was not the answer as I glanced towards it. I put both hands on my chest again and closed my eyes.

“Lian!”

“Huh! Yes!”

My body jolted upright at the loud noise. It was an instinctive reaction. At the same time, my head started throbbing.

“Ugh…”

Along with the pain, unfamiliar memories flooded in. They were the memories of the original owner of this body, Lian. From the fleeting scenes, it seemed that Lian had been abused by his parents and ran away, then captured by slave traders. Afterwards, he was sold as an experimental subject in a dark mage’s laboratory and ended up managing slaves due to diligently following the dark mage’s orders.

“I’ve seen this in that trashy novel too, but this is truly garbage.”

Why did the dark mage, who saw young children as mere experimental materials, entrust Lian with the role of administrator? The simple reason was that this bastard’s character was so devilishly rotten that even demons would be amazed.

“Lian!”

“Yes!”

While organizing my thoughts, I heard an irritated noise mixed with a loud bang. In order to not be sucked into the magic, I quickly left the room.

Clang.

As I opened the iron door and stepped out, a long corridor stretched out. The noise came from the room directly across. Since Lian was the dark mage’s exclusive servant, or more like a slave, his room was right across.

Knock knock.

“I’ll be excusing myself!”

“Come in!”

Thunk.

As I opened the door and entered, a thin, stooped man with a sensitive expression couldn’t hide his gaze toward me. As I stepped into the room, a musty smell wafted through the air.

‘I should really ventilate this place.’

Muttering inwardly, I entered while outwardly shuffling my feet.

“Hurry up and clean up these things.”

The sorcerer pointed his staff at something covered in mosaic.

‘Ugh.’

What he pointed at was something pixelated.

‘Looks like I’m in the world I used to live in.’

The comedic anime world was strictly rated for all audiences. Anything exceeding a certain level was pixelated like this.

From Noble mtl dot com

‘…Even in the women’s dressing room.’

Thinking of delicately falling towels and hazy mist, I shed tears inside. Fortunately, it seemed that when doing such things, you could clearly see it. Of course, I couldn’t be sure if it was true since I had never experienced it.

“I have some business to attend to, so clean up neatly.”

“Yes! Great Lord Odil! Please go and come back safely!”

“Sure.”

Odil left the room, leaving me alone.

‘Surely the familiar spirit is watching, as mentioned in the novel.’

In the novel description, it was definitely like that. Discarding the thought of wandering around foolishly, I brought over an old sack placed in one corner, grabbed the pixelated object, and stuffed it inside.

‘Ugh, sticky and warm.’

After putting the mosaic lump into the sack, I tightly closed the entrance. Pulling the handle on the wall, a space to put something opened up. After putting the sack inside and closing it, the sack went down somewhere along the inside of the wall. It must be the place for disposing of trash.

‘By the way, this room is so dirty. So much dust.’

The floor and walls of the room were quite dirty.

‘Just like our mom.’

Thinking of a mother who, despite being unable to do household chores, had a heart as big, I left the laboratory.

‘I should tidy up the remaining traces neatly.’

In the place where the mosaic was, there was a puddle-like residue of blood. That, too, had to be cleaned up thoroughly for the job to be finished.

‘Surely there’s a mop.’

I went down to the kitchen, opened the cleaning tool box on one side, grabbed the cleaning tools, and returned to the room.

After some time had passed.

“Phew, I’m done.”

He wiped his forehead lightly and looked around the room. The sparkling clean room, free of any dust, gleamed brightly.

“It’s instinctual to just clean the floor…”

At that moment, he was scratching the back of his head.

“I’m back… What is this?!”

“Oh, you’re back.”

“Why is my room shining?! Did you use your divine powers?!”

“N-No? Not at all!”

“There’s no way this room would shine like this if you didn’t!”

As he said that, his face flushed with heat.

“Oh, no. It’s not like it’s sparkling to that extent…”

“Huh, this… Was my crystal originally this color? No, no! It must have been purified!”

Overwhelmed by the praise pouring in, his expression became flustered.

“You…! You’re treating me so nicely?!”

“W-Wait, please calm down!”

“Calm down? After betraying me?!”

Just as he was about to use his staff to cast magic, with the jewel on the end glimmering, a crow that had been dozing off on a perch flew up and landed on Odil’s shoulder.

Caw caw!

The crow conveyed some meaning to its master while squawking.

“What? It was simply cleaned up nicely?”

Nod, nod.

“Just cleaning could make it this clean?”

“Ahem, well… Actually…”

Realizing that this was my only chance to save myself, I immediately spoke.

“I couldn’t help but feel inspired, thinking of it as a place used by someone as great as you, Odil… I didn’t think it would make you feel uncomfortable. It’s all because I greatly admire you, Odil.”

“Well, well. Ahem.”

Unable to deny the passage of time, Odil cleared his throat and blushed. It seemed he liked the praise.

“As expected, Odil! The pride of the Dark Sorcerer! Even the demons would be amazed and envious of the Dark Sorcerer!”

“Well, yeah. That could happen. Sure. Mm-hmm. From now on, try to clean up reasonably.”

“Yes!”

As Odil nodded and swiftly turned around, his loyal crow, perched on a stand, took flight and returned to its roost. I quietly extended my thumb to the crow. In response, the crow raised its wings, making them look like fingers, and nodded its head.

“It was worth feeding Odil’s snack.”

Admiring the pitiful, growling sight as Odil, hungry as if his stomach was empty, praised his past self who secretly offered the nuts he bought for him to eat.
