July Summary and New Book!

"The Immortal Warrior's Quest for Eternal Love" was released on April 1st. It has been four months and the word count has reached 1.28 million, with an average daily update of 10,000 words.

Currently, the book has reached the late stage. This month or at the latest next month, the planned plot will be fully written and the book will end normally, with an estimated total of around 1.5 million words.

This is the author's first book on Qidian, and the achievements so far would not have been possible without everyone's support. I would like to thank you all sincerely.

The author's writing skills were not sufficient, and I did not grasp the rhythm well or adapt to the environment, which caused the book to start collapsing in the middle stage. By July, it was almost in ruins.

Because the later plot was not satisfactory, the performance quickly deteriorated and it was unable to make a comeback. It has been hovering around 12,000 words per day, and the recent weekly updates have been around 1,200.

This is the author's fault and I deeply reflect on it.

The recent month's updates have indeed been unsatisfactory, and the decline in performance is only one aspect. The main reason is that the plot collapsed and I truly couldn't write anymore. I have been constantly contemplating, but often unable to put it into words.

Therefore, the author plans to start a new book, change the approach, and also exercise my writing skills.

The new book is called "I Never Intended to Seek Immortality" and it is somewhat similar to a certain senior's book title. At that time, I came up with a bunch of titles, and the editor chose this one, so it was settled.

The new book is still in the fantasy genre and is connected to this book. It tells the story of the Thirty-Six Dynasties of the Heaven Court before the events of this book's world view.

In the timeline of this book, the human race is dominant and the ruler, spreading across the heavens and myriad realms. The myriad races are just supporting characters. However, in the ancient times, the human race had a difficult history of rising.

The inspiration for the new book came early, and I plan to incorporate Chinese history into it, from the three tribes of the human race to the Three Emperors, Five Emperors, and Three Kings, from the Human Emperor to the Human King. The later generations of emperors will appear in a fictionalized manner, and famous historical figures, regardless of loyalty or treachery, will be included and integrated into the specific history of the rise of the human race in this book.

The author has planned the worldviews of both books together, but the cultivation system of Body Refining is different. I have already written tens of thousands of words in the outline, trying to avoid collapsing in the middle and late stages.

The new book starts with daily life and the first volume is called "A Great Man," mainly depicting the growth and transformation of the protagonist, Su Yu, and how he is forced step by step to embark on the path of immortality, from being a simple and kind young man.

I never intended to seek immortality, but the world forced me to.

After the protagonist grows up and his mentality changes, he wants to rise and have the strength to protect the people he wants to protect. That will be the story that follows.

As for the genre, the new book leans towards traditional fantasy, without a system, and is relatively slow-paced.

The author knows that this path is difficult, but still wants to give it a try. Regardless of success or failure, there will always be some gains, such as improving writing skills, refining storytelling abilities, and controlling the plot.
