Journey to the West: Man in heaven, working nine to five

“Heaven and earth birthed a spirit, a mixed immortal, an old ape in the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit. He made his home in the Water Curtain Cave, seeking friends and teachers to comprehend the profound.

He refined countless methods of immortality and learned boundless transformations. Displeased with the narrowness of the mortal realm, he resolved to reside in the celestial heavens.

The Hall of Miraculous Clouds is not his to occupy for long; it has been passed down through generations of human kings. The strong should be respected and yield to me; only a hero dares to strive for the lead.”

Sun Wukong finished reciting the poem he wrote in praise of himself, looking at the Buddha Tathagata with arrogance.

However, the Buddha Tathagata listened and sneered:

“You are just a monkey who has attained enlightenment, yet you dare to seize the throne of the Jade Emperor?

The Jade Emperor has cultivated since childhood, enduring one thousand seven hundred and fifty kalpas. Each kalpa lasts one hundred and twenty-nine thousand six hundred years. Calculate, how many years must he have spent to enjoy this boundless Dao?”

Chu Hao frowned as he listened from the side. The Jade Emperor was a page under the Dao Ancestor, a figure from the Primordial Era. How could he be only a mere two hundred million years old in Tathagata's words, not even a single kalpa?

The Jade Emperor was a person who completely survived the Investiture of the Gods kalpa, one kalpa being approximately sixty-four billion years.

Presumably, Tathagata is referring to the time since he took control of the Heavenly Court?

Chu Hao didn't dwell on it and continued to listen to Tathagata's boasting.

Tathagata mocked and ridiculed Sun Wukong, saying:

“You are nothing more than a beast who has just become human, how can you utter such grandiose words! Unworthy of being human, unworthy of being human!”

“You have also committed such killings in the Heavenly Court. You should convert as soon as possible and stop talking nonsense!”

Sun Wukong originally wanted to say his own words, but suddenly, he remembered the story Chu Hao had told him before.

So, Sun Wukong blurted out:

“Are kings, dukes, generals, and ministers a special breed?!”

“Dare to risk being sliced to pieces, dare to drag the emperor off his horse!”

“Workers of all countries, unite!”

“Ura!”

Sun Wukong shouted "Ura!" stiffening the atmosphere immensely.

Chu Hao silently lowered his head, covered in sweat. It's over, Sun Wukong shouted out the words Chu Hao usually said…

The consequences of this are so great that Chu Hao dare not imagine them.

The Buddha Tathagata stopped twirling his flower, and the Jade Emperor stopped hiding under the table. They both looked at Sun Wukong strangely.

What kind of person could utter such words? What powerful belief is this? Once this sentence spreads, it may even cause the next kalpa!

And this is by no means impossible. Just when Sun Wukong said that sentence, "Workers of all countries, unite!", the Buddha Tathagata clearly felt an extremely gloomy sense of oppression.

The Jade Emperor could also feel this sense of oppression.

Upon reaching the Perfected Quasi-Sage realm, one can faintly feel the operation of the Heavenly Dao.

And just when Sun Wukong said that sentence, the operation of the Heavenly Dao actually stagnated for a moment, with a forced reversal of the situation!

Once the Heavenly Dao is reversed, it is as if time flowing downstream suddenly reverses, causing chaos in various time and spaces, the consequences… unimaginable!

But it was only for a moment, and the reversal of the Heavenly Dao suddenly recovered, returning to calm.

At the same time, the Sages and Quasi-Sages scattered outside the Three Realms, in various dojos, opened their eyes one after another.

All the Quasi-Sages and Sages had shock in their eyes, even some panic.

“The Heavenly Dao actually stagnated for a moment?! Could it be that a sudden kalpa is descending?!”

“Impossible, the Journey to the West kalpa is already in progress, how could another kalpa arise? Two kalpas at the same time?!”

“The heavens are in chaos, but then they are smoothed out again? Could it be that the Dao Ancestor intervened?”

“I'm afraid only Hongjun Dao Ancestor is qualified to smooth out the Heavenly Dao, but… what kind of energy is needed to force the Dao Ancestor to take action?”

“Go and investigate! If two kalpas really arise at the same time, the Three Realms will be in great trouble, and the gods and Buddhas will be difficult to preserve!”

Even Hongjun Dao Ancestor, outside the Three Realms, couldn't help but widen his eyes, wanting to investigate the situation.

However, this was no longer something that could be clearly investigated within the long river of the Heavenly Dao. It actually involved the realm of the Great Dao!

Even Hongjun Dao Ancestor was unable to find out the reason.

Hongjun was frightened for a moment. Even in the chaotic Hongmeng period before the creation of the heavens and earth, there had never been two kalpas arising at the same time!

Once two kalpas truly arise at the same time, not to mention the thousands of gods and Buddhas, even he, Hongjun, would be in danger!

Are these the words you, Sun Wukong, should be saying?!!

Sun Wukong, from popping out of the stone to now, it hasn't even been a few years. What human suffering could he possibly have experienced to utter such words that affect the kalpa?

The Buddha Tathagata stared at Sun Wukong, gritting his teeth and saying: “Demon monkey, what did you just say? Say it again!”

Sun Wukong scratched his head. He suddenly seemed to have returned to normal, arrogant and unruly:

“I say that although he has cultivated for many kalpas, he should not occupy the privy for so long. As the saying goes, the emperor's seat rotates, and next year it will be my turn. Just tell him to move out and give the Heavenly Palace to me, and that will be the end of it; if he still refuses, I will definitely stir up trouble and never have peace!”

Sun Wukong's words were heartfelt and unruly.

However, Sun Wukong thought that these arrogant words would at least make Tathagata look at him with new eyes.

“Oh, that's good…”

But after Sun Wukong finished speaking, the Buddha Tathagata breathed a sigh of relief.

Although he didn't know the reason, it seemed that Sun Wukong had forgotten what he had just said.

Sun Wukong looked dumbfounded,

“What? Little Tathagata, don't tell me you're agreeing to let me ascend to the emperor's throne?”

Tathagata quickly returned to the original topic and said coldly:

“I will make a bet with you: If you have the ability to somersault out of my right palm, I will consider you the winner, and the Heavenly Court will belong to you; if you cannot somersault out of my palm, you will still descend to the lower realm to be a demon and cultivate for a few more kalpas before coming to argue.”

Sun Wukong suddenly remembered being trapped in Chu Hao's Palm Buddha Kingdom and responded unceremoniously: “No way!”

Just kidding, at that time, Chu Hao, with the realm of a Golden Immortal, was able to use the great神通 of Palm Buddha Kingdom to trap Sun Wukong, and Sun Wukong was unable to escape in any way.

Now that Tathagata has brought up the matter of flying out of the palm again, Sun Wukong has already learned his lesson and rationally refused.

When Tathagata heard this, he was stunned. Why didn't this silly monkey fall for it?!

There's no reason!

Did he learn to be good?

He doesn't look like it, he's still so silly.

Then why!

The Buddha Tathagata was full of despair. This is the worst batch of demon monkeys I have ever led!
