The eighth department is the technical department, which is responsible for the computer research and construction in the Soviet Union.The ninth department is in charge of the work of overseas students, the tenth department deals with overseas media, and the No.11 department is responsible for the groups of the Soviet Union who went abroad to confirm that these people are reliable.

Department No.12 is the anti-corruption department of the KGB, responsible for monitoring the government and enterprises and investigating corruption incidents.
