Hogwarts wizard nemesis
Chapter 58 The Devil's Web
There was darkness all around, Leon and the others screamed, their bodies seemed to be falling all the time, as if they were like a bottomless pit with no end.
Falling, falling, suddenly, with a plop, and a strange and dull impact, Leon fell on something soft. He sat up and groped around.
His eyes had not yet adjusted to the dim light here, and he felt as if he was sitting on some kind of plant.
Then there were two more plops, and Dylan and Joey also landed on it.
Ouch, Dylan rubbed his butt, it really hurt him.
The light nearby was not very bright, and Leon was blinded: "Where is this place? It's so dark."
"I don't know, it seems to be a kind of plant. It's soft when you sit up. Fortunately, it's laid here to reduce the impact when falling." Dylan said.
"That book brought us here," Joey said now.
"Yeah." Leon responded, "I think so too."
However, at this moment, Dylan screamed strangely, as if he was startled, and the plant stretched out snake-like tendrils and wrapped them around his ankles. Leon and Joey, without knowing it, Before he knew it, his legs were entangled in long vines.
Joey was very clever and managed to break free before the vines could catch her tightly.
At this moment, she watched in horror as the two boys tried desperately to tear at the vines, but the more they struggled to break free, the faster and tighter the vines became.
"What is this? Why is it getting tighter and tighter?" Dylan yelled, looking very panicked.
"Don't move," Joey shouted at them; "I know what this is, it's a devil's net."
"That's great. I can still know its name before I die. Devil's Net is such a crappy name." Dylan said with self-pity. He tried his best to avoid the entanglement of the vines and begged to delay the time.
"Dylan, shut up. I'm thinking of a way to save you. I clearly remember reading about it in the book," Joey said eagerly.
"Okay, okay, think about it slowly, I think we can live for another two minutes, right, Leon." Dylan gasped, trying desperately to pull away a vine that was about to wrap around his neck. Leon nodded vigorously, he couldn't protect himself.
"By the way, Devil's Net, Devil's Net, Professor Longbottom said that it likes dark and moist places."
"Then set it on fire!" Leon almost choked.
"Yes, of course, but what should we do?" Joey was anxious, and she was a little dizzy with anxiety.
"Are you a fool?" Dylan shouted, "You are a wizard?"
"Oh, oh, I almost forgot, I'm sorry." Joey slapped her forehead and forgot about it. She took out her wand, waved it, murmured something, and then let it go just like she did with the evil spirit last time. A beam of orange flame shot out from the tip of the wand, and within just a few seconds, the two boys felt the vines retreating from the light and warmth, loosening their grip on them.
The vines twisted and twitched, automatically loosening the tendrils wrapped around them, and Leon and Dylan finally broke free completely.
"Oh, luckily you listened carefully in the herbal medicine class, Joey." Leon regained his breath. He retreated to the wall and wiped the sweat from his face and said with difficulty,
"Yes, yes." Dylan said a little sinisterly, "What a smart boy, he just went out to light a fire."
Joey glared at him but said nothing.
"Let's go forward and see if we can get out." Leon quickly pointed to a stone corridor and said.
This seemed to be the only way to go.
They heard, in addition to their own footsteps, the sound of water slowly dripping down the wall.
As they walked down the corridor, Dylan seemed to hear something. He whispered, "Can you hear something?"
Leon and Joey listened intently.
There seemed to be a gentle rustle and a tinkling sound coming from the front.
"Could it be a ghost?"
"It doesn't sound like the sound of flapping wings."
"There was a bright light in front of me and I thought I saw something moving."
They reached the end of the corridor, which opened into a brightly lit room with a high, vaulted ceiling.
Countless little birds, as dazzling as gems, flapped their wings and flew around the room. There was a heavy wooden door opposite the room.
"What are these?" Dylan asked in surprise.
"I don't know." Leon and Joey said in unison.
It seems that the Secret Code has brought them to a completely unfamiliar place, and it is very likely that this is not Hogwarts.
"We rushed over to take a look. They didn't look too vicious." Lyon said.
He took a deep breath, shielded his face with his arms, and dashed across the room.
He thought that these birds would use their sharp beaks and claws to tear him apart at any time, but they turned out to be safe.
He arrived at the door smoothly and unscathed, and pulled the handle. The door was locked.
Joey and Dylan followed, and together they pulled and pushed, but the wooden door wouldn't budge.
"Let me try, the Alaho hole opens"
Unfortunately, the wooden door remained indifferent, and Joey was a little disappointed.
"What should we do now?" Dylan asked.
"Could it be that these birds are not used for decoration?" Joy expressed her point of view.
The three of them watched the little birds flying overhead, shining, well, shining.
"Look, those are not birds," Leon suddenly shouted, "They are keys with wings. Look carefully, can you tell?" Leon looked around, looking at every corner of the room. Joey and Dylan looked up at the A swarm of flying keys.
"Yes, look, that's a broomstick. We have to go up and grab the key to that door."
"But there are hundreds of keys on it."
"Yes, yes, but we have to go out and leave here. If we get out of here later, I'm afraid we will be discovered by Professor Gray."
Each of them grabbed a broom, kicked off their feet, rose into the air, and rushed into the dense array of keys.
They grabbed and fished desperately, but the enchanted keys evaded so fast that it was impossible to catch them.
However, Leon has the talent of Grandpa Harry's Quidditch seeker. Although he is only a goalkeeper now, he has extraordinary talent in searching for flying targets.
After he walked through the array of colorful small-winged keys for a minute, he noticed that the wings of a large silver key were drooping, as if someone had caught him and stuffed them roughly into the keyhole. It flew very slowly. , feeble.
"That's it" Leon shouted to Dylan and Joey: "That key, yes, that's it, the one with sky blue wings, it's like it's dying"
Dylan caught the sky-blue key with almost no effort. Seeing Dylan rushing towards him, the key couldn't run away. It slumped down and wanted to cry without tears.
Key’s voice: Fake, who messed with me and ravaged me three times alive?
