Hogwarts White Knight

Chapter 31 2 dreams

Soon Gawain realized what he had forgotten.

He had a pleasant dinner, but Abyss was still in the dormitory...and guarding a can that was only cracked open but could not be eaten.

When he returned to the common room, Abyss was lying on the bed on all fours, staring at him fiercely.

Its golden pupils have narrowed to a slit, clearly saying, "I am indeed not a human being, but you are really not a human being either."

"Well, I was wrong, please forgive me."

Gawain said awkwardly, trying to touch its little head with his right hand, but was clawed away.

"Two boxes of cans."

He stretched out two fingers and felt that the strength of his claws was loosened a little, but undoubtedly the chips were not enough.

"Three boxes."

The claws were even weaker, but they still hooked him.

"Three boxes, if you eat any more you will turn into a ball."

But Gawain's left hand had secretly moved to its back and stroked it gently along its spine.

The abyss trembled slightly and then collapsed into a cat.

"How nice, Gawain. Your connection to it."

Neville, wearing pajamas, came behind Gawain and said enviously.

He still has no idea how to establish a bond with his toad, and he hasn't even accumulated enough experience on how to track Leif.

"Maybe you should try talking to it? Right, the abyss?"

Gawain said as he opened the cat can. Hearing his words, the little black cat waved its paw proudly.

Since bringing it home on vacation, Gawain has discovered that the abyss is getting smarter and smarter.

"Okay. Good night."

"Good night, Neville."

Noticing that Gawain had picked up his pajamas, Neville walked towards his bed.

As for Seamus, Dean and a boy named Aurelius who were in the same dormitory, they were all already asleep.

"Dreamless sleep..."

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Gawain held a thin test tube, raised his head in fear and drank it all in one gulp.

He didn't know why Professor Dumbledore wanted him to drink this stuff, but he seemed to need a dreamless sleep, just like the weird ghost woman said.

The medicine was very bitter and slid down Gawain's throat, making him feel a little cool. The next second, the world seemed to become blurred, and suddenly darkened again.

He lay back and fell into sleep.

But Gawain woke up again.

It was in a dream.

But it shouldn't be in a dream.

He was wearing pajamas and walking down an alley.

It was a dark, dilapidated alley, illuminated only by an oil lamp hanging in the air. The road paved with bricks and stones was muddy, and the houses on both sides were uninhabited. The door was roughly sealed with battens and rivets. got up.

In the sky, there is a blood-red moon.

“Twelve dreams, beneath the stone crown is the sleeping Red Queen;

Eight beasts, born in eight turbulent nights.

Four holy nails pierce the sinner's flesh;

A prayer dedicated to the summoned hero.

Birds flying across the sky are a bad omen, and meteors falling are a bad omen;

New questions arise and old answers fade. "

A man's voice suddenly sounded, but it came from nowhere.

"Who are you? Where are you?" Gawain asked.

"You came too early, maybe the destined future will no longer be destined," the disembodied voice replied, "Of course you are in a dream."

"Impossible! If I drink the Living Hell Decoction, I won't have any dreams. And even if it is a dream, I won't feel any pain!"

Gawain tries to find the source of the sound.

He had already scratched the palm of his hand with his nails, confirming that he could feel the pain, and the cold feeling of the stone slabs under his feet seemed extremely real.

This is not a dream.

"But how do you know, you are not here

What about in a dream? "The voice sneered and said, "Find the fifth person, and you will have a chance to regret it before the third dream comes. "

As his words fell, the black alley began to collapse.

Instead of turning into broken bricks and tiles, it turned into lines of various colors, converging into large blocks of color, and eventually even the blocks of color became blurred.

Waves of squeezing sensations emerged from Gawain's body, and he understood that he was about to leave this strange place.

"But who are you!"

Gawain shouted, but the man did not answer him.

Darkness swept up completely.

When Gawain woke up again, it was already the next morning.

Lying on his back on the bed in the Gryffindor dormitory, a piece of information suddenly appeared in his mind.

"Control inherent time? Accelerate the time flow to achieve high-speed attacks and movements, slow down to stagnant biological rhythms to achieve silent concealment, and even maintain weak acceleration at ordinary times to improve physical fitness... This kind of thing, really Is it possible with magic..."

Gawain had an almost qualitative understanding of the strange magic of "khronos", and these techniques seemed to be engraved in his mind, and he could use them skillfully without much hard practice.

"Is there a fifth person? Sleep? What a mess." Gawain shook his head and got rid of those strange thoughts.

This was his secret, and it was destined not to be shared with others, because he couldn't even distinguish whether the dream was real, let alone let others believe it.

Ignorance is a blessing.

What's more, today's class schedule is full.

After getting up and washing up, Gawain put on his robe and went downstairs. After breakfast in the auditorium, he hurried to the greenhouse.

The greenhouse is in a corner of Hogwarts Castle. It is divided into several areas, but they only went to the outermost and safest part today.

Herbalism is in charge of Professor Sprout. She is a short, fat, but smiling woman wearing a lavender apron.

In the first class, the little wizards need to identify some magical herbs that are common in the magical world under the guidance of the professor.

This is really not an easy task, because these flowers and plants look very similar, and they are all named in Latin, which requires repeated memorization to distinguish them.

Fortunately, Professor Sprout, as the head of Hufflepuff, was very approachable and remained patient enough even when Gawain confused the seeds of poison pods with sleepy beans.

"Gawain, for the sake of Merlin's garters, how on earth did you manage to mix up these two things that are different in color and size!"

After class, Hermione dragged Gawain with a confused look on her face.

The Herbology class was followed by Professor Binns' History of Magic.

Professor Binns, whose full name is Binns Cuthbert, is a ghost who has been teaching History of Magic at Hogwarts since its founding.

"My course is the history of magic. I study facts, not myths and legends."

At the beginning of class, Professor Binns "floated" on the podium and spoke in a cold and breathless voice, looking a bit like a dry apricot.

On the blackboard behind him, the content of the course was densely written in small characters, which gave Gawain an ominous premonition.

But soon, his hunch came true.

It was true that he was interested in the history of magic, but he was not interested in Professor Binns's scripted and drowsy lecture style.

As a result, Gawain mastered the most effective method of learning this subject in his first lesson on the History of Magic.

——Start copying the content on the blackboard as notes during class, and then use the remaining half of the class to catch up on sleep. The dry background sound is suitable as a lullaby, but the table is a bit hard, and from time to time a little lion will gouge out his eyes.

It was not until the afternoon that the class that Gawain had been looking forward to finally came.

Charms.

ps1: Please refer to the class schedule made by the boss of Baidu Tieba. I will study how to post the related works.

ps2: I finally finished laying out the main line needed in the early stage. The main line will appear occasionally as a supplement.

ps3: Professor Binns’ full name comes from one of Rowling’s solved cases in Philosopher’s Stone. There will be other content about him later, all from pm.
