Chapter 40: Dodge Charger and Volkswagen Beetle

Dante did not immediately return to Saint Fanganza to summon the evil spirits to destroy them, because evil spirits could not be summoned in broad daylight. If they could be summoned in the daytime, it would be hard to say who would destroy whom by then.

Dante did not go to San Fanganza, but took the reluctant Lorna to not far from Johnny's house, looking at the Dodge Chargers scattered on the ground with a look of helplessness.

He had called Brian half an hour ago and asked Brian to find an excuse to go out alone to find him. Dante wanted to ask Brian if there was anywhere else where he could buy this 1969 Dodge Charger.

Looking at the frowning Dante, Lorna was also a little embarrassed at the moment: "I'm sorry about that, Dante, I didn't know you were protecting Rosie at the time."

"It's okay, just don't be so impulsive in the future."

Dante replied with a look of despair.

"Uh"

The atmosphere remained awkward until Brian arrived belatedly in the nanny car.

"Sorry Dante, the nanny car is a new challenge for me. I can't even find where the handbrake is. Later, I called the after-sales customer service and found out that there is an electronic handbrake now. Did you know?"

As soon as Brian got out of the car, he was chattering to Dante about the nanny car.

"It's okay, Brian. I'll forgive you if you can tell me where I can buy Dom's same 1969 Dodge Charger."

Dante pointed to the car that had been broken into two sections by the wall, and the engine was violently pulled out by Dante.

"Oh my gosh, what is this pile of junk? Wait, what did you just ask me? This can't be"

"Yes, you are right."

Dante nodded, telling Brian for sure that what he was thinking was right.

"Oh my god, Dante, are you okay? Were you attacked with a missile?"

As soon as Brian spoke, Lorna, who was already embarrassed, immediately lowered her head.

"Okay, okay, I'm fine. Just tell me where I can buy the exact same car. I've seen that the engine of the car is still good. I think it can be salvaged. I hope Dom can not tell."

Brian lowered his head and thought for a moment: "Maybe you can call Teji and ask."

Dante patted Brian on the shoulder: "Well, your mechanic friend is fine too, but remember to ask him to keep it a secret and never tell Dom."

As he spoke, Brian took out his cell phone and called Teji, who had just returned to Miami not long ago to inquire.

In fact, Dante originally wanted to call Coulson. With SHIELD's ability, even if it doesn't exist, it can build one for you on the spot. Unfortunately, Dante doesn't want to owe SHIELD a favor.

Soon after, Brian hung up the phone and said to Dante: "Teji needs time to ask his friends and will call me back later. Can you tell me what happened now?"

Dante looked back at Lorna, who was lowering her head and kicking the raised stones on the road with her toes, and replied: "It's nothing serious, it's just that the little wild cat suddenly exploded and destroyed the car."

Brian followed Dante's gaze and looked at Lorna. He immediately understood something and stopped asking questions. Instead, he changed the subject and talked about Mia's situation.

"Mia can't eat lately and has an unusually bad temper."

Dante looked at Brian with squinting eyes: "Haha, bear with it, what else do you want?"

"I just felt a little confused all of a sudden."

Brian looked up at the sky.

"Haha, you bitch is just hypocritical."

Brian sighed softly: "You don't understand. You are only twenty-three years old now, and you don't know much about the troubles of adults."

Dante looked at Brian, who was relying on his old age, and suddenly his head was full of black lines. In fact, if he calculated carefully, he was almost twenty-three years old in his previous life. Adding the three years in this life, his actual age was only twenty-six years old.

Although he has experienced a lot of women, he seems to have never been in love, and he doesn't know if those so-called pounding hearts are what he felt when he saw the Scarlet Witch.

After all, it was just a delusion from his previous life. Dante actually didn't take it seriously, otherwise he wouldn't have bragging to his brothers as a joke.

When Dante was thinking about whether he should find a woman to seriously talk about his love feelings, Brian's phone rang, and it was Teji who called back.

Brian answered the phone and said a few words, and then hung up the phone. He turned to Dante and said, "You are lucky. Teji found out that there is a 1969 Dodge Charger in Los Angeles. Hank’s Ship Repair Shop.”

"Uh, are you sure it's a ship repair shop, not a car repair shop?" Dante wondered if he heard correctly.

"Yes, it's a ship repair shop, but it also recycles scrapped cars and sells parts." Brian affirmed.

"Okay, that's right. I know where it is. It's at Hank's Repair Shop near Santa Monica Beach, right?"

"Yes, you're lucky."

"Okay, please, please remember to tell Dom when you get back that I drove his car to do some errands and my return date is uncertain."

Brian shook his head and smiled bitterly: "I hope you still remember how you and Dom modified this car."

Dante patted Brian on the shoulder: "Don't worry, man, I will give Dom a stronger war horse."

"Then I'll wait and see. Goodbye, Dante."

"Bye Brian, say hello to Mia for me."

After the two said goodbye, Brian drove away in the nanny car, while Dante called a tow truck and waited there.

Not long after, the tow truck arrived. Under the surprised expression of the tow truck driver, Dante pointed at the two parts of the Dodge Charger.

After finally loading the two cars and a V8 engine onto the trailer, Dante and Lorna took the trailer directly to Hank Ship Repair Shop.

After unloading the battered car and engine from the trailer, Dante paid the trailer and sent it away.

"Hey, boy, are you the one who wants the 1969 Dodge Charger?"

Hank, the owner of the repair shop, greeted Dante warmly.

"Yes, you are Boss Hank, right?"

"Yes, young man, you are really discerning. There are not many young people who like these old things nowadays."

“Just because something is old doesn’t mean it’s outdated. On the contrary, the passage of time will make it more charming, right?”

"Young man has a bright future, not bad. Wait, whatever parts you like, I'll give you a 30% discount."

Dante and his boss Hank were chatting while walking in a repair shop filled with yachts and speedboats. At first glance, there were only a few cars.

Finally, Hank and Dante stopped in front of a dilapidated Dodge Charger. Except for the body structure, no part of this Dodge Charger was still intact. Even the wheels had been removed. Dante estimated that Bought for parts by Hank.

While Dante was checking the condition of the Dodge, Lorna stopped in front of a dilapidated yellow Beetle, looking at the Beetle in trance.
