Hogwarts Melting Ice Journey
Chapter 56 Eye Giant
Stephen and Rowan walked out of the library, where they had been all afternoon.
As soon as he walked out of the library, Rowan couldn't wait to ask about the Marauder's Map, "Stephen, what is the Marauder's Map you were talking about before?"
"It is a map that can show the location of everyone in the school." Stephen didn't know how to explain this. He just knew how to use it. "The Marauder's Map seems to use some name magic."
"It's at Mr. Filch's"
Stephen nodded, "Yes, so Rowan, I don't think we can get the Marauder's Map from Filch."
Rowan thought for a moment, "No, Stephen. I think we could borrow the Marauder's Map from him."
Stephen looked at Rowan with some confusion. He didn't understand how Filch could lend them the confiscated prohibited items.
"Rowan, are you trying to steal it?" he asked with some uncertainty.
Rowan shook his head, "Stephen, I made it very clear, it's a loan."
"Okay, then how do you plan to borrow it?"
"I heard that Mr. Filch is a squib. I think this should be within the scope of our research."
"So you want to use this method to exchange for the Marauder's Map." Stephen felt that this idea was unrealistic, but he thought of another feasible method, "Or, we can draw a pie for Filch and borrow it. "
"Stephen, what you said is really a good idea." Rowan showed a smile that succeeded in his strategy, "I knew you would have some good ideas."
Stephen shrugged helplessly and just gave him a way. It didn't matter, "So let's go now."
"Of course, Filch usually lives in his office. He rarely leaves Hogwarts, so we should be able to find him." Rowan couldn't wait any longer. He pulled Stephen and hurried to Filch's office. office.
"By the way, Stephen." Rowan continued chatting with Stephen on the road, "Do you know the meaning of Filch's name?"
"What does it mean?" Stephen was confused. He had no idea about the meaning of these names.
"Argus Filch, where Argus represents a giant with a hundred eyes in Greek mythology, and Filch represents stealing."
"That really fits Filch's style. Doesn't he often secretly observe students' behavior?" Stephen felt that this name was tailor-made for Filch.
"Yes." Rowan nodded.
After a while, they walked to the door of Filch's office. The two made eye contact, and finally Stephen stepped forward and knocked on the door.
"Who?" After a few seconds, Filch opened the door and stretched out his head to look at the person who knocked on the door. He squinted his eyes and looked at Stephen, "Oh, it turns out to be Stephen Tony. I still remember you. Why did you come to see me?" Because he was imprisoned.”
This is really Filch's style. Stephen looked at Filch and said, "No, Mr. Filch, we are here to communicate some things with you. Could you please go in and talk?"
"I think you can just say it here." Filch's voice was cold and full of suspicion. His eyes kept scanning Stephen and Rowan, as if he could find a lot of mistakes in them. This also made Stephen and Rowan feel uncomfortable.
"I think it's best to go in and talk about this, since it's about you after all."
Filch stared at Stephen intently, and after a while he said, "Come in."
Stephen and Rowan walked into Filch's cabin. The cabin outside the school was his office. The cabin was very dark, with an oil lamp hanging from the ceiling. It was the only light source that could be seen in the room except for a light-transmitting window.
There are many cabinets in the room, some of which are labeled "filing cabinets" and some of which are labeled "violating items." There was only one chair in the room that had been used for an unknown period of time. Next to the chair was a table that had been polished to a shiny finish. On the table were several letters that had not yet been put into envelopes.
Otherwise there was a cubicle, but the door was closed, and Stephen guessed that it was Filch's bedroom.
"I don't have a place for you to sit here." Filch is not Hagrid. He has no interest in entertaining these annoying brats. "If you need anything, just tell me."
Stephen turned his head and looked at Rowan. Rowan had no intention of speaking actively. This was his old problem. He needed to have courage when communicating with strangers.
Stephen had no choice but to come on by himself, "Mr. Filch, we would like to discuss cooperation with you."
"Cooperation" Filch felt that the two were playing tricks on him, "You are just first-year students, what can I do to cooperate with you? Get out of here quickly, or I will be happy to put you in solitary confinement."
"So, Mr. Filch, don't you want to gain the ability to use magic?" Stephen felt that he would be kicked out if he didn't ask the question.
"Who told you?" Filch's voice was filled with anger. He grabbed Stephen by the collar and pulled Stephen up. "Who?"
Rowan hurriedly pulled Filch's hand away, but his strength was too small compared to Filch. Filch reacted and released Stephen. Stephen took a few breaths and then looked at Filch.
"Some of our research may be able to help you solve this problem." Of course Stephen couldn't explain this, and he felt that if Rowan told him, it would probably be an infinite matryoshka.
Filch looked at Stephen suspiciously, "How could I possibly believe you freshmen, your nonsense."
"So what if this is also my brother Jacob's research?"
Filch was stunned for a moment, then grabbed Stephen's collar again and asked in a very anxious tone, "What you said is true?"
This time it was Stephen's turn to be stunned. He now felt as if everyone who had been at Hogwarts for a while knew his brother, which was strange.
"Of course, I got his notes and have continued to complete his research."
Filch thought for a moment, "If it's your brother's research, then I think I can barely trust you. Tell me, what do you want to get from me?"
"A piece of parchment, you got it from the four James Potters."
Filch walked to a cabinet with illegal items, opened a drawer and rummaged through it, and found a piece of parchment. "The parchment is here, so how do you prove that your research can allow me to cast magic spells?" "
Stephen thought for a moment and walked out of Filch's cabin. Filch and Rowan followed him out. Stephen took out his wand and used the maximum magic power he could use to use "clear water like a spring". What the wand sprayed was not a stream of clear water, but an oversized water ball.
Although Filch had no magic, he knew that it contained magic that could only be found in at least a third grade and many complex spells.
Filch nodded, "Now I believe it, you can take this away and don't spread it everywhere. Also, you must tell me when you have researched it so that I can use magic."
"Of course, we can guarantee it." Stephen took the parchment, then took out his notebook and sandwiched it in. "We can also make an unbreakable oath."
