Hogwarts Pet Master

Chapter 31 Filch’s first experience with magic

In the morning, Filch was holding Mrs. Norris and walking in the lively streets of Diagon Alley. As he walked, he observed the names of the shops around him.

"It's right there." He looked happily at a shop not far away.

At the Thunderbird Magic Pet Shop, Benita is checking the pets' health.

The bell rang, and she habitually said, "Welcome." When she raised her head, a man wearing a fur coat and holding a cat was looking at her with a smile.

"Oh, you must be Mr. Filch."

"Hello ma'am, my name is Argus Filch, introduced by Mr. Black."

"Hello, I am Benita Torres, Kerry's grandma. Kerry has already told me about this. Come with me." After that, she closed the store door and took the other party to Black Manor using the door key.

Nick and Woz were waiting at the door today because the old master said there would be guests today. They saw Master Benita and a gentleman appear in front of the manor. Knowing that this was the guest, they immediately saluted: "Welcome this guest to Black Manor."

"This is Nick and Woz, elves, and our family," Benita said.

Filch swore he had never seen a house-elf dressed so well in his life, and it was the first time he had ever heard a wizard say that house-elves were family. He was a little puzzled, but he returned the gift and said politely: "Thank you very much for the welcome."

"Walker, call mother to the laboratory."

"Master Keshia, you have been preparing in the laboratory for a long time."

"Well, please, Mr. Filch, come with me."

Soon they entered the laboratory. It was a very spacious room surrounded by various medicine jars. At this time, there were two old men of the opposite sex here. One woman was lowering her head and doing something unknown, and the other man was doing something. I was playing with those bottles and jars out of boredom.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, the two of them came forward. The old female woman smiled and said: "I am Keshia Wilkinson. You are very welcome, Mr. Filch."

"Madam, you're welcome, please help my wife." Filch couldn't wait to hand Loris into his hands.

Keshia checked it with magic power, "It is indeed a blood curse, and it takes a long time. It may take a long time to awaken the human consciousness."

"Ma'am, will my wife fully recover?"

"We will try our best. We are sure that we can at least restore your wife to a point where she is conscious and able to speak."

"Thank you, thank you so much," he cried, speaking well enough.

"We are about to start working. You can stay in our manor for a while."

Filch reluctantly left the laboratory, and at the same time the old man left. At this time, he felt very uncomfortable because the other man kept staring at him.

"Are you the squib?" the old male asked.

Normally, Filch would have cursed, but now that his wife had received help from him, he couldn't get angry. He smiled and said, "Yes, sir."

"Hey, you can actually see the same kind of people." He laughed, and stepped forward to put his arms around the other person's shoulders. "People like us are rare in the magic world."

"I'm sorry I don't understand what you said"

"Oh, I forgot to introduce you. I am Marius Black. I am a squib and the owner of Black Manor."

Filch looked at Marius being so cheerful and never thought that he was also a poor squib. People like them are also extremely rare in the magic world. They are "talents" that are rare to see in ten years. Moreover, these people have always been looked down upon and bullied in the magic world.

"Hey, you are really the one"

"Hey, you're already quite old. Why are you so stubborn about an adjective? Aren't you just a squib?" Marius couldn't help but said to him, "And you don't need to use honorifics when talking to me."

"I am so sorry"

"Forget it, from the look of you, you probably won't be able to live well in the magic world, okay, just follow me."

"Sorry about my wife's side."

"Don't worry, Keshia and the others are professionals, and they won't come out for a while."

Filch was pulled away directly by Marius. He wanted to throw away the other person's hand, but found that his strength was not as strong as the white-haired old man in front of him.

He was taken to a dark basement.

"Snapped"

Marius pressed the button, and the inside suddenly lit up.

These were electric lights, something Filch had seen when he was young, but they didn't work in the wizarding world. The place was not big. There were several square wooden tables and multiple shelves, with various items he had never seen before placed on them.

"Welcome to my prop room," Marius said loudly, opening his arms. "Here are the props my granddaughter-in-law made for me that can use magic even with squibs, as well as some interesting things from the Muggle world."

"Squibs can also use magical items," Filch said suspiciously.

Marius picked up a ring on the table and chanted a levitating spell on the table. Then a ray of light shot out and the table levitated. "Aren't you surprised that you can only use some simple magic spells, and every time you use up the magic power, you have to find a wizard to re-inject it."

Filch was stunned. He had never thought that the Squib would one day use magic.

"Can you give me a try?"

"Of course, you are my kind. You must have been longing for this moment for so many years."

Filch took it with both hands, carefully put it on his index finger, and quickly recited the levitating spell. The pronunciation was fast, loud, and yet accurate. He must have practiced it for a long time.

The moment the table floated, he cried, squatting down and covering his face with his hands. He had gained too much since he arrived here, and the resentment in his heart for many years was sadly released.

After so many years, he thought that he would never be able to use magic until the end of his life. Unexpectedly, now...

"Stop crying, you should laugh now." Marius comforted the other party. He knew very well the feeling of releasing years of bitterness. When he used magic for the first time, he cried for more than half an hour.

"Sorry, I'm so rude." Filch stood up and showed an ugly smile.

"It's okay. Now is the time to be happy. I'll give you this ring."

"Hey, this is too expensive."

"Take it, I have plenty here. My granddaughter-in-law got me a lot of these things."

"That, thank you very much," Filch said gratefully, "You have very outstanding juniors."

"Yes, my greatest achievement in my life is to marry Keshiya, and then I have several outstanding children, especially Kerry, our family's genius. He learned magic at the age of 6."
