Clarke

Chapter 41 Parting and Distance

The next evening, Clark opened the door and walked into his room.

"How was labor today?"

Clark looked up and saw that it was Queen Fujiali.

"Good day, Queen God." Clark gently placed his right hand on his heart, "Today went well. I helped a tanner hunt some wild beasts."

Fu Jiali smiled softly and nodded.

"Yes, I heard that. Congratulations, the new Horrortusk Hunter."

Clark smiled cautiously and said nothing.

Fujiali turned sideways to reveal a plate of fruit on the table.

"Come and try Asgard's specialties. I believe you won't be disappointed."

Clark froze for a moment.

Fujiali tilted her head and asked.

"What's the matter? Don't you like to eat?"

Clark shook his head, walked to the table, picked up a golden "apple", and murmured.

"No, I just thought of my mother. She always told me to eat more fruit."

Fujiali smiled softly and looked at Asgard outside the window and said.

"Every mother hopes that her children will grow up healthy and happy, and so does your mother."

Clark took a bite of the "apple" in his hand and felt the strange fragrance filling his mouth.

Fujiali glanced in the direction of the door and suddenly walked out of the room.

"You go to bed early, kid, I have something to do."

Clark quickly put down the fruit and walked to the door to see the Queen off.

Fujiali stretched out her hand to help Clark come out of the room.

"There's no need to send me off, kid. Go to bed early."

Clark watched the Queen of Gods walk out of the room, return to the table, pick up the "apple" and lie down on the bed.

Clark looked out the window and thought about bringing some of these fruits to Martha and Jonathan before leaving. They would definitely like them.

......

A week later, in front of the Rainbow Bridge.

Thor stepped forward and hugged Clark with a heavy face.

"Brother, we will always remember you."

Volstagg, Hogan and Fandral stepped forward to hug Clark one after another with heavy faces.

Sif stood aside and rolled her eyes, reaching out to pull Fandral away who was about to cry.

"It's not like you'll never see each other again."

Volstagg's eyes were a little red.

"But Clark is a Midgardian. Maybe the next time we meet, we will go to his grave..."

Hogan quietly gave Volstagg an elbow to interrupt him, and then looked at Clark apologetically.

Clark forced a smile to show that he didn't mind.

Sif hugged Clark gently, turned around and said angrily: "You guys are so reckless on the battlefield, maybe Clark will have to attend your memorial service in a few days."

Fergal stepped forward, adjusted Clark's cloak, and patted Clark on the shoulder.

"Have a safe journey, kid."

Odin, who had been watching with cold eyes, spoke up.

"Okay, mortal, it's time for you to hit the road."

Clark nodded and looked around.

Clark mentioned the specialties he had brought for Jonathan and Martha, and slowly turned around and walked into the Rainbow Bridge under the watchful eyes of everyone.

Clark walked behind the curtain, and the Rainbow Bridge, which was originally flashing with rainbow light, suddenly lit up with a dark red light.

The Rainbow Bridge roared into action, pointing to an unknown place.

Thor's expression changed drastically, and he turned around and looked at Odin nervously.

"Father, what was just..."

Odin looked seriously at the direction in which the Rainbow Bridge was launched.

"Yes, ether particles interfere with the direction of the Rainbow Bridge."

......

Somewhere in the galaxy, on an unknown planet.

The Rainbow Bridge suddenly fell, and Clark appeared in a clearing surrounded by dark red energy.

Clark raised his head and looked at the two satellites in the sky, one was red and the other was also red.

Clark was holding a bag of fruit and was speechless as he stared at the unfamiliar stars in the sky.

Clark's expression suddenly changed, and dark red "ribbons" floated from his body.

The "streamer" was suspended in front of Clark, pointing to a place in the distance.

"What do you want? I brought fruit to my parents, so you can send it to me here."

Clark looked at the "ribbon" that was constantly moving in front of him, and clenched his right hand holding the fruit.

"Streamer" seemed unable to speak, or did not want to speak, and continued to point and squirm in the distance.

Clark suddenly looked up and shouted.

"Heimdall, are you there? Send me back."

"Heimdall"

After shouting more than a dozen times, Clark put the fruit in his hand on the ground and sat down weakly.

The "streamer" continues to squirm.

......

After sitting for a while, Clark accepted the reality of being sent to an unknown place in the universe. He took off with the fruit and prepared to explore the planet beneath his feet.

Clark slowly floated up, feeling the gravity on this planet that was slightly smaller than the Earth's, and mentally guessing the size of this planet.

After a little adaptation, Clark quickly accelerated and flew into the distance.

A few minutes later, Clark flew over a valley under the guidance of the "streamer".

Clark looked at the valley below him. His powerful eyesight allowed Clark to have a clear view of the situation in the valley.

The valley is a gathering place for tribes, but it doesn't look like a primitive tribe.

Most of the tribe members wore some mechanical parts as armor, and some war patterns were painted on their faces. Many of them also wore wrist guards with light screens on their wrists.

Some children were running around the tribe, holding shiny metallic spears and composite bows.

Women washed their clothes from the stream that ran through the valley and deftly hung them to dry on the cables that ran through the roofs of each house.

Under the leadership of several strong warriors, the young people dissected the mechanical "beasts" brought back.

Some of the mechanical beasts were in the shape of wolves, some in the shape of horses, and one huge beast that looked like a saber-toothed dragon.

A young man took out an electronic chip from the belly of a saber-toothed dragon mechanical beast. The young man danced and shouted happily.

The adult who was coaching next to him slapped the young man on the back of the head, gently took the chip, held it above his head and let out a strange roar.

The surrounding soldiers also roared in the same way.

The chip suddenly flashed a burst of short blue lights. The frequency of the short blue lights flashed faster and faster. Finally, with a soft "beep" sound, the blue light suddenly turned into green light.

The tribal warriors present looked at the green light emitted by the chip and shouted excitedly.

"Oh oh oh"

The sound spread throughout the valley, and everyone who heard it looked towards the direction of the sound with a happy smile.

......

Clark looked at the situation in the valley with interest from the air, and after thinking about it, he decided that it would be better not to fly down directly.

Clark flew to the main road of the tribe and landed not far away. He followed the road until he reached the hanging gate of the tribe's gathering place.

Interestingly, this road turned out to be a straight steel avenue under the soil. This road led from an invisible distance to the tribal gathering place.

The two soldiers at the door had already noticed Clark walking alone. After reporting the situation, the two stood on the wall and pointed at Clark with the giant crossbow mounted on the wall.

Clark walked to the wall and slowly raised his hands to show that he was not hostile.

Clark looked at the two nervous young warriors on the wall, and suddenly felt that he seemed a little reckless.

In this alien world where the language is unintelligible, contacting these local residents does not seem to be a good idea.

They can't all speak English, this isn't an American blockbuster.

Although a young warrior on the wall had a giant crossbow in his hand, he looked even more nervous than Clark.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?"

The young soldier spoke standard American English, and Clark could even hear some Kansas dialect.

Clark, whose outlook was shattered, looked at the young warrior with a strange expression and forgot to reply to him for a moment.

The warrior on the wall looked at the stranger below staring at him with a strange expression, and nervously put his finger on the trigger of the giant crossbow, ready to fire at any time.

Clark said quickly.

"Hello, I am a traveler passing by and would like to get some supplies from you."

Clark then discovered that the English he spoke was converted into a language he had never heard before.

Clark looked thoughtfully at the ether particles faintly spilling out of his body.

The young warriors on the wall suddenly became excited.

"You're lying. No one can make it out of the Road of Steel."

The young warrior was about to shoot the dangerous person below with his fingers, but suddenly he found that the trigger of the giant crossbow was jammed by something.

At some point, an adult tribe member who came to the wall took his finger out from under the trigger and gently tapped the young warrior on the shoulder, signaling to relax.

The adult man looked at Clark condescendingly, with a complicated expression.

"Visitors from afar, welcome to the Heart of Stone"
