【The place of dreams and challenges for young trainers! 】

————————————————————

Regional Leagues refer to annual trainer competitions held in all regions of the Pokémon League. In the minds of countless young trainers, the regional league has a heavyweight status. Almost all trainers will start their first year of travel with the goal of participating in the regional league.

The timing of competitions in various regions is different, and most of them are concentrated in the middle or end of the year. For example, the league in the Kanto region is usually held in June.

The regional league has always been a highly publicized event for the Pokémon League, with opening and closing ceremonies, and the custom of passing on the flame of the Flame Bird or the Phoenix King. The flame will be lit at the opening ceremony and will continue to burn until the end of the conference. It is a symbol of the trainer's fighting spirit and the will of the Pokémon League.

The earliest regional league can be traced back to the founding period of the Pokémon League. On June 649, 6 in the Elven Calendar, the first Quartz League Competition started in Mihara City on the Quartz Plateau. This marked the beginning of the national trainer craze.

There is no age limit for participants, and they need to have a trainer's license officially certified by the Pokémon League.Generally speaking, trainers need to collect at least eight officially certified gym badges in the current region, and go to the Pokémon Center in the designated city to present the badges and illustrations one week before the start of the competition to register and register to qualify.Students who graduate from the Trainer Training Academy and candidates who pass the Pokémon League Certification Center exam can directly qualify to participate in the Pokémon League Tournament without collecting badges.

Before the torch is lit, leagues in some regions will hold selection meetings to eliminate excessive players before holding an opening ceremony. There are also some regional leagues that start after the opening ceremony. From the initial preliminaries to the finals, the league competition rules in each region are different. They are mainly single-elimination systems, and occasionally there are group matches.

Most alliances will switch to different terrains in the battlefield, such as frozen, rocky, forest, grassland or water terrain. In a six-on-six full-person battle, when three Pokémon on one side lose the ability to fight, tournaments with venue designs will usually change the venue. This is also a time for trainers and Pokémon to take a short break.

The league will pre-select eight seeded players who will not meet before the round of 32 to prevent premature elimination.

Players who reach the top sixteen in the competition will receive bonuses provided by the Pokémon League. The amount is variable in each region and may change from time to time. The prize amounts for the 381st Quartz League Competition are as follows:

Champion: 50wpd

Runner-up: 30wpd

Second runner-up: 20wpd

Top Four: 12wpd

Quarterfinals: 8wpd

Top 5: [-]wpd

Sometimes there are additional rewards such as Pokémon eggs and rare props in addition to bonuses.

After winning the championship in each regional league, you can enter the regional championship hall to register the name of the trainer and a photo with the Pokémon. The Champions Hall in Mihara City, Quartz Plateau, stores the files of previous league champions from various regions.

Although the competition does not limit the age of participation, most of the participants are teenagers, making it a grand event for young trainers.

The top eight players in each regional league can qualify for the biennial national league. In addition, the champion can get tickets to the "Kings Champions Qualifying Tournament", where they can challenge the Four Heavenly Kings and the champion in their region.

Many new trainers will choose to travel around a region for half a year and participate in regional leagues twice a year.

The results of the regional league will be used as reference data for the "World Trainer Ranking".
