Emily and Link were dressed very similarly today, both wearing Muggle hoodies with sweatshirts and slacks, and even the colors of their clothes were exactly the same.

Since Mrs. Foley often wore Muggle clothes to play in the Muggle world, Old Kled actually didn't find anything strange about what Link and Emily were wearing.

But he still said:

"Um, are you...going out?"

"Yes, Grandpa Kled." Emily said with a smile, "Link asked me to go to Diagon Alley to buy things for the new semester."

Kled raised his eyebrows and said:

"Oh! Then I won't disturb you! I hope you can have a good time!"

After saying that, Kled left the room and gave Link a 'well done' look when he passed by him.

After Kled left, Link finally leaned over and smiled at Emily and asked:

"Is Mr. Victoria okay?"

"He was very sad when I first went back, but now he's calmed down."

Listening to Emily's words, Link nodded empathetically.

It is always difficult for a father to accept the fact that his baby cabbage is stolen from him, and it is probably the same for him.

The two chatted for a while, and then Emily noticed the densely packed embryos neatly arranged in the box, and asked curiously:

"what is this?"

"Some small measures," Link said as he closed the box, "to prevent some possible troubles."

After hearing this, Emily took a deep look at Link and did not continue to ask further.

But with her staring so closely at him, Link finally told the story of the 'Skaall Embryo' in detail.

Only then did a smile appear on Emily's face.

She didn't care what Link was going to do with these 'embryos', all she cared about was whether Link was willing to tell the truth to her.

Emily smiled and took Link's arm and said:

"Then let's go."

The two walked into the fireplace with smiles on their faces, and arrived at the Leaky Cauldron with a burst of Floo Network's signature crackling sound.

Different from the last time Link came here, the Leaky Cauldron looked very lively during the day, with customers everywhere, and the air was filled with the smell of frosting pie.

"Link! You are finally here!"

As soon as Link and Emily stepped out of the fireplace, Cedric and John came over with smiles and said hello.

They were also invited by Link today, so they came together to purchase items for the new semester.

The moment Emily saw John, she finally understood why Link insisted that she wear Muggle clothes to go shopping today.

You know, John is a Muggle wizard.

Presumably this must be because Link wanted to take John's feelings into consideration.

Glancing at Link with a smile, Emily said nothing more.

Link smiled and hugged Cedric and John and said:

"Congratulations on becoming a prefect, Cedric."

"Thank you!"

Cedric responded with a smile, but the smile looked a bit stereotyped and stiff. He must have thanked him countless times during this time.

John on the side saw this and said impatiently:

"Come on, don't talk about this. It's only natural that Cedric can become a prefect. He doesn't care as much about this kind of thing as some people do."

"some people?"

"You know who I'm talking about," John said with a wink, "Percy Weasley!"

"Huh? Have you seen Weasley and the others?"

"Yes, they were still here just now, but now they have left, together with Harry Potter." John said with some disgust, "You should be lucky that you didn't see Percy Weasley's triumphant look just now. That’s really disgusting.”

Hearing this, Link chuckled. Percy Weasley was indeed an anomaly in the Weasley family.

He craves power and even betrays his family in the original work. Link can fully imagine what such a person will look like when he becomes a prefect.

But Link doesn't hate him, at least not now.

Because the Foley family has a lot of power, Percy will be the easiest person in the Weasley family to be used by him if necessary.

With a chuckle, everyone finally stopped this topic under Cedric's persuasion and walked out of the tavern to Diagon Alley.

Similar to the situation at the Leaky Cauldron, as the first day of school approaches, Diagon Alley becomes crowded.

This kind of scene is actually rare in the sparsely populated magic world.

So both John and Cedric were quite excited.

Of course, the reason for John's excitement is because of the various weird products in Diagon Alley.

For example, take a crystal ball model with the entire solar system inside. With the blessing of magic, the stars inside will not only move on their own but even shine.

Another example is a complete set of pure gold gobstones (a wizard game similar to marbles, where losers will be sprayed with slime).

These things were very attractive to John. He wandered among them over and over again, but did not buy any of them.

There was no other way. As a young wizard from a Muggle family, Gringotts had opened a service for him to exchange pounds for gold galleons, but there was a limit.

So John had to count every penny carefully, otherwise he would have to use tattered second-hand books.

Link and Cedric were naturally rich, but out of concern for John's dignity, they did not take the initiative to help him pay. They just wrote down the items that John kept his eyes on the longest and waited until Christmas. Just give it as a gift.

The few of them were talking and laughing while shopping, and naturally they did not forget to buy serious things such as new school uniforms (young people always grow so fast), new books, and new potion equipment.

Among them, Link and Emily did not buy new potion equipment like Cedric.

Snape had clearly told them that unless it was a customized version of pharmaceutical equipment, things like standard crucibles would have to go through a period of running-in before they could be used smoothly.

During the equipment running-in period, your pharmaceutical level will drop to a certain extent.

Link and Emily didn't want to be lectured by Snape about this kind of thing.

What is even more worth mentioning is that when everyone came to the bookstore, they found that the bookstore that should have been doing brisk business during this period was empty.

There is also a huge iron cage placed in the open space outside the bookstore, which contains hundreds of weird spider-like books with furry appearance, fangs and four eyes.

They were fighting crazily in the iron cage. Link and others even saw two of the books working together, grabbing the third book and tearing it in half!

A loud chirping sound and the excited roar of the books suddenly erupted in the air, and broken pieces of paper flew everywhere.

Looking at this scene, Link and others were stunned on the spot.
