Unseal at Hogwarts

Chapter 18 Night Tour at Hogwarts

After Harry had finished packing, the two of them quietly opened the dormitory door and tiptoed to the Slytherin lounge like thieves.

There was only a faint firelight in the lounge, barely allowing them to leave silently.

Tom followed his plan and climbed straight up the stairs to visit the second floor of the castle that he had not set foot on during the day.

Along the way, they met no one, only the portraits watched with interest as they hid here and there.

But Tom still had a bad feeling in his heart.

He always thought there was someone following them, but every time he looked back, he found nothing.

"Do you think there's anything wrong?" Tom decided to ask Harry, who was traveling with him, what he thought, "I've been feeling very uneasy."

"Something's wrong? No, I didn't notice anything. I think your uneasiness probably comes from the fear of violating school rules for the first time."

"It sounds like you are used to breaking school rules?"

"In the Muggle school, I broke almost all the school rules in order to avoid the trouble caused by Dudley and the others."

Tom gave a thumbs up.

"It reminds me of something my dad said."

"What words?" Harry asked curiously.

"People who dare to break the rules often have abilities that others do not have, which makes it easy for them to succeed." Tom answered while observing the surroundings.

Harry couldn't understand why these words sounded so much like what Uncle Vernon would say after Dudley got into trouble.

"Of course, just listen to this," Tom added, "If you take it seriously, I'm afraid I will be a lawless brat now."

"I don't agree with this," behind them, a knight in heavy armor said in the portrait, "Rules are very important, but we still have to be brave enough to break some unreasonable rules."

The portrait saw the two men startled by his voice, laughed loudly, mounted his horse, shouted, and disappeared from the frame with his sword raised.

Tom and Harry looked at each other.

The two were silent for a while, and Tom said, "I have to say, it still takes some time for me to get used to the magic of Hogwarts."

Harry knew it.

They continued cautiously.

Hogwarts looked particularly quiet late at night under the moonlight.

The white moonlight filtered in from outside the large window, casting their figures into long shadows on the ground in the corridor.

They walked through the deserted shadows and quietly opened the doors of empty classrooms.

Time ticked towards two o'clock in the morning, and Tom began to yawn.

He finally wrote a few words in his notebook and decided to go back to his dormitory.

Harry didn't feel sleepy at all, and followed Tom with a lot of interest.

But Ruberos looked here and there in boredom.

Suddenly, Rubelos stopped, opened his mouth, grabbed the corner of Tom's robe, and pulled Tom into an empty classroom.

Tom was startled, grabbed Harry's hand, and pulled him into the classroom.

But there are two possibilities for Rubelos to pull him. One is that it sensed the Clow card in this classroom, and the other is that someone is approaching them.

Two people and one beast squatted down in a shadow in the classroom.

Tom looked at Keruberos with questioning eyes, and Keruberos shook his head.

Tom knew immediately that it was not the Clow card.

He raised his index finger to his mouth, signaling Harry to be silent under the dim moonlight.

Harry nodded quickly.

Not long after, a figure flashed through the corridor where the classroom was, but Tom and the others were not found in the classroom.

Just when Tom breathed a sigh of relief, another tall figure walked over quietly.

Tom's expression grew serious.

He suddenly remembered that he not only had the task of finding the "Time" card and returning to his own time, but he also faced the danger that the Dark Lord Voldemort of the wizarding world might enter the school at any time.

He turned to look at Harry, who was staring nervously at the corridor, fearing that someone else was coming.

Tom still remembered that according to the records, just this year, Harry defeated Voldemort's attempt to steal the Philosopher's Stone, and once again escaped from the powerful dark wizard.

Magic stone.

Tom thought of the card he got from the Chocolate Frog on the train. The Philosopher's Stone was a major research result of master alchemists Nico Flamel and Albus Dumbledore, and it was expected that it would appear in Hogwarts.

With the Philosopher's Stone, Hogwarts must be the place Voldemort wants to invade.

This means that he must find a way to leave here and return to his own time before Voldemort enters the school.

Although this was a bit sorry for Harry, he believed that even if he was not around, Harry could successfully defeat Voldemort and survive safely.

"What makes you think that a child your age can survive in the hands of a powerful dark wizard?" A small voice said in Tom's heart.

Because Harry is the savior, the Boy-Who-Lived.

Tom said in his mind.

But inevitably, he himself felt that this reason was flimsy.

But even if he stayed here, he wouldn't be able to do anything.

Tom thought.

"You can do more than you think." The voice said again.

No, no, no, I am just a laughing wizard who has just entered the magical world from the Muggle world.

"Harry is the same as you." A small voice sneered, "If you can't help him, how can he survive?"

Tom was silent.

"No one seems to be coming anymore." At this time, Harry whispered, "Shall we go?"

Tom nodded and stood up with Harry.

"Were those Professor Quirrell and Professor Snape just now?" Harry said uncertainly.

"It's them," Tom answered.

"They don't look like they're on patrol," Harry said doubtfully.

"Perhaps the two professors are investigating something?"

"But don't you think it's like Professor Snape is stalking Professor Quirrell?"

"Maybe it's just because Professor Snape is curious about Professor Quirrell's behavior?"

"Maybe."

After confirming that no one was in the corridor, they carefully walked back to the Slytherin common room.

There was still no one in the lounge.

Harry slumped down on a chair: "I can finally relax. I had such an exciting night tonight."

Tom was worried.

He opened his notebook and looked at his plan in a trance.

Tom thinks that he is not a warm-hearted and good person. When encountering anything, he will first weigh it before deciding whether to participate.

The relationship between Harry and Voldemort is, to put it bluntly, a struggle between two different parties in the wizarding world. Without strong strength, it is only a fool to get involved by relying on temporary pity.

"click"

The sound of opening came from the entrance to the lounge.

Tom and Harry jumped to their feet, drew their wands, and looked warily at the entrance.
