Chapter 13 Branch “Test”

"Hey! Ryan—"

Following the direction of the sound, Ryan saw Justin, who was leaning out of a window, waving his arms and calling Ryan's name.

"Good morning, Justin." Ryan had to raise his voice to cover up the noisy people around him, "I'll come find you right away——"

After waiting for a while, Ryan finally saw Hermione running in with red eyes.

But as soon as she saw Ryan, she sniffed her nose and returned to her usual aloof demeanor.

"There are not many classes at Hogwarts, and we have a lot of spare time." Looking at the little girl's confused look, Ryan explained, "There is a Knight Bus, and you can even go home and have a cup of tea between classes. When you come back to class, you don’t have to miss your family so much.”

This sentence was naturally comforting. After all, according to Hermione's temperament, she would probably forget this little bit of homesickness once she came into contact with magic.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Hermione walked forward on her own, but her jumping steps still revealed her thoughts.

"I have to go find Justin, do you want to come with me?" Ryan said, "I think he still has room there."

"It couldn't be better."

Hermione slowed down and followed Ryan. They squeezed through the crowd and found Justin's compartment at the back of the carriage.

"Thank you, Justin, I don't want to have to squeeze in the crowd to find a seat." Ryan said hello while moving his suitcase to the pedal, and then helped Hermione put it away with Justin. Her luggage.

"I arrived early in the morning," Justin said. "Originally, my father wanted to take me around, but I really couldn't stand my mother's endless complaints, so I had to find an excuse to get in the car first."

"Oh, don't say that Justin, your mother just cares about you too much." Ryan sat next to him, "How was your summer vacation?"

"It's not bad. Dad bought me a new generation of red and white consoles." Justin said, "Ryan, how about you come to my house during the holidays and I'll show you my game collection."

"You should focus on studying." Hermione said with a frown.

"Come on Granger," Justin said in an unhappy tone, "We can't hold books all day long, what do you think, Ryan?"

"Everyone has his own attitude towards life. I don't think there is any need to quarrel with each other."

Ryan looked out the window. Two locks of fiery red hair stood out among the crowd. They were the symbol of the Weasley family. He quickly followed the Weasley brothers and found the black-haired boy with glasses next to them.

"If you don't strive for progress like this, you will be sorted into Hufflepuff sooner or later!" the little girl said gloomily.

"I think Hufflepuff is pretty good." Ryan looked away from the window. "Integrity, loyalty, friendship, and most importantly, there are many people."

"You should have higher aspirations, Ryan, and Dumbledore thinks you can get into Gryffindor." Hermione said earnestly, "Gryffindor is the best, and Dumbledore started from Gryffindor." graduated."

"Granger, it is the school that makes the decision, not us." Justin said, "If you want to go to Gryffindor, go by yourself and don't show off in front of us."

Hermione raised her eyebrows: "Of course I will go, Finch-Fletchley."

After saying this, the two glared at each other and ignored each other.Hermione took out a book from the box and pretended to read it; Justin took out his wand and carefully applied the wax.

After watching the two angry people with interest for a while, Ryan spoke slowly: "Speaking of which, do you know about the sorting test?"

"what is that?"

These words indeed attracted Hermione's attention. She immediately put down her book and asked, and Justin also stopped what he was doing.

Looking at the two nervous little wizards, Ryan suddenly had several thoughts.

He leaned forward and lowered his voice and said: "I found this out from Dumbledore. You must not tell anyone, because even young wizards born in wizard families don't know the content of the sorting test. If it weren't for our For the sake of friends, I will never tell you."

After the two of them finished swearing, Ryan continued: "Don't be afraid of what I'm going to tell you next...

"The first test is the fire dragon."

"Oh my God!" Hermione screamed, "No way, this is too dangerous..."

"Shh!" Ryan quickly raised his finger, and the two of them immediately covered their mouths tightly. He continued, "Of course we can't beat the fire dragon. The test is to let us walk in front of the fire dragon. The test is courage. This is Qualities valued in Gryffindor House.”

Ryan made it up with a nose and eyes. Hermione and Justin couldn't help but swallowed. They imagined a huge fire dragon that could turn their little arms and legs into ashes with just one breath.

"If you dare not pass the fire dragon, it means you are eliminated from Gryffindor." Ryan continued, "Then there is the second test. All I know is that we are asked to solve a difficult problem. If you answer it correctly, Then Ravenclaw welcomes you, they value intelligence."

Hearing this, Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. If she just answered the questions, she would still be a little confident.

"Then there is the third test. We will definitely not be able to pass this test. Slytherin pays great attention to blood, and we are all Muggle-born wizards."

Justin asked anxiously: "What should I do?"

He is unwilling to face the fire dragon, has no confidence in answering the questions, and has no bloodline. If he fails to pass the fourth test, he will have no choice but to go home.

"Oh, don't worry, Justin." Ryan suppressed his smile, "There are only three tests. If you don't pass them, the rest will all join Hufflepuff."

Justin breathed a sigh of relief. He began to think that Hufflepuff House was not so annoying.

"Wait a minute, Ryan." Hermione suddenly looked at him suspiciously, "Are you sure this is what the sorting test is like?"

"I don't know, that's what Dumbledore said." Ryan's eyes were sincere and his tone was firm.

"So what if someone passes multiple tests at the same time?"

"He will get the right to choose once." Ryan said firmly, "Just like Professor McGonagall, she passed the test of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, and finally chose Gryffindor."

Ryan described everything so realistically that she couldn't help but believe it.

Hermione began to worry about gains and losses. She was afraid that she would not be able to answer the Ravenclaw questions and would end up in Hufflepuff.

Unlike the two boys - Justin has long faced his ordinary talent, while Ryan, for some reason, only wants to enter Hufflepuff - Hermione has high expectations for herself, and she hopes to prove herself and Muggles. Families can also produce powerful characters, proving how ridiculous some of the overt or private discrimination in the wizarding world is.

She originally wanted to go to Gryffindor because big names like Dumbledore had come from there.

But when she thought of fire dragons, Hermione was trembling with fear. She clearly remembered the introduction of fire dragons in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them".Not to mention walking past the fire dragon, even if she took a look at it from a distance, Hermione felt like she would be frightened into fainting.

Looking at Hermione who was restless, Ryan felt that enough was enough.

"Okay, I'm sorry, I have to admit that I lied. I made everything up."

There was silence in the cubicle for a moment, and the next moment the little girl's unique high-pitched cry rang out: "Ryan - um -"
