Chapter 3 Dumbledore

After finishing thinking about a big scene, Ryan's face turned completely dark.

Assuming everything is as he thought, then Quirrell's arrival today is most likely a mutual test between Dumbledore and Voldemort——

The principal was testing whether Voldemort would be a little boy for the sake of the Sorcerer's Stone, while the Dark Lord was testing whether Dumbledore would turn over the table and attack him directly.

And I am not even a chess piece, at best, it is just a temporary chessboard.

Of course, according to Lao Deng's conscience, he, a tool man, still had to be protected, so he must be watching nearby.

Ryan's eyes flickered, but he still hesitated in his heart.

It was too risky to face Quirrell directly, and he was just guessing about Dumbledore's plan.

If I thought that the wise and powerful principal was on the fifth floor, but was tricked in the end, only to find that Old Deng was stupidly on the first floor, this would be a big joke.

Because the principal would never have imagined that there was a little guy holding a clearance guide looking down at them on the tenth floor, and this guide must never fall into the hands of Voldemort.

But the situation no longer allowed Ryan to think too much. He heard the sound of something being knocked over downstairs, followed by a series of screams like a slaughtering pig.

Ryan was worried about his parents' safety, so he gritted his teeth and rushed into the living room——

Mr. Franklin had already pressed Professor Quirrell's center of gravity with his knees. He held Quirrell's hands behind his back with his left hand, and grabbed his head with his right hand, pressing Quirrell's face to the ground.

This scene looked quite funny, but Ryan only found it creepy.

The next moment, the sound from the entrance interrupted the farce.

There stood an old man in a purple robe, his long silver-white beard hanging down to his chest, and a pair of bright blue eyes looking at everyone in the living room through half-moon lenses.

Ryan pretended to be shy and avoided the old man's sight, but he was greatly relieved.

"Good evening," the old man's loud voice was full of joy, "It seems that I came at the wrong time. I hope I didn't disturb you."

He then carefully recognized Quirrell's face, and after a while he said in a brisk tone: "Oh, Mr. Franklin, please don't be so nervous. Although our newly hired Defense Against the Dark Arts professor doesn't look that good, he is indeed My best choice at the moment. If you don't mind, could you let him go temporarily?"

He was talking to himself, seeming to completely ignore Bach's vigilant gaze: "Believe me, it is not difficult for Professor Quirrell to escape. I remember that his grades in the Apparition class were pretty good back then. Of course, he did not interact with Muggles. I have experience in family contact, so I made a special trip here. Oh, you don’t think that an old man like me can do any harm, do you?”

Ryan's face twitched: I believe you, I can tell at a glance that you, this old guy, are not human!

"Okay." Bach took back his hand and stood up, patted his clothes, and in the blink of an eye he turned back into an elegant and easy-going math teacher.

Dumbledore did not look at the miserable Quirrell, nor did he talk to Mr. Bach immediately. Instead, he stared closely at the little boy with a low eyebrow. This made Ryan's scalp numb, and he hurriedly hid behind his father.

"Interesting." Dumbledore chuckled softly, helped the sobbing Professor Quirrell up from the ground, and patted his trembling shoulder, "Quirinas, you need Bobby's help now. I want the school hospital There should be some anti-swelling potion in stock from last semester... Or, you can go find Severus and leave it to me."

Ryan poked his head out from behind Bach and watched Quirrell disappear from the door like a frustrated little daughter-in-law.

Sensing Dumbledore's glance, he hurriedly retracted his head.

"Ah, I think I forgot to introduce myself." Dumbledore slapped his head, and in the shocked eyes of the Franklins, he turned a teacup into a chair, then waved his hand to erase the traces of the fight, and then Yiyi sat down and said, "Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, I bet you don't want to know my full name. It's really too cumbersome."

Dumbledore seemed to have a natural ability to make people put down their guard, and he soon started chatting with the Franklins.

He first talked about logic with Bach for a while, and then praised Valerie's fruit pudding. When he learned that this food used Ryan's improved formula, Dumbledore's eyes widened in surprise.

"I dare say that Ryan will go to Gryffindor, which is one of the best houses in our school." The old principal wiped the corners of his eyes with emotion, "What a brave attempt, I think it would be better to add more sugar. Mrs. Valerie, your son will definitely become a great wizard in the future."

Mrs. Franklin smiled stiffly. She was still not used to talking about wizards. If it hadn't been for Dumbledore's wonderful magic display just now, she would have thought the world was crazy. No, she felt that the world was still crazy now. .

"Sorry, Mr. Dumbledore." Bach frowned slightly, "I don't want to question your ability, but I think Ryan is not suitable to be a... well, a wizard."

"Can I hear your opinion?" Dumbledore said with a smile on his face. "We respect the opinions of every parent. In fact, the decision-making power still lies in your hands."

Bach secretly breathed a sigh of relief, and he spoke after careful consideration: "Based on Mr. Quirrell's description and performance just now, I feel that you...the wizarding world has an unfriendly attitude toward ordinary people. I'm afraid that Ryan will encounter something there. Not a pleasant thing.”

He said as he hugged Ryan into his arms, and Dumbledore did not deny Bach's words, but just sighed apologetically.

Valerie also took advantage of the situation and said: "Our family has never dealt with wizards. If Ryan becomes a wizard, he won't be able to help him much in the future. Moreover, I believe that the smart Ryan will be able to achieve good results in the world of ordinary people." Achievements, on the contrary..."

She hesitated: "Ryan has never shown anything abnormal. With all due respect to Mr. Dumbledore, my son may not be as talented as you said..."

"Oh, this happens to be one of the things I want to explain," Dumbledore stopped smiling, "I must apologize to you for the Ministry of Magic's negligence. In fact, you should have known everything 11 years ago."

He took out a crystal vial from his arms, which contained a glowing silver substance that looked like a liquid or a gas.

Dumbledore tapped the mouth of the bottle with his wand, and the shiny silver substance spun rapidly and turned into a hazy mist.

The images in the fog flashed quickly, it was everything that happened in the hospital 11 years ago.

From the perspective of the Aurors, Ryan found with shame that he had caused quite a lot of trouble.

"A sudden magical riot," Dumbledore's voice was a little erratic. He watched the silver mist slowly dissipate and the bottle became empty. "Nervous Aurors broke into the hospital and eliminated every Muggle witness. The memories of those who are here, including yours, of course.”
