HP wants to be boss at Hogwarts

Chapter 13 The battle on the broomstick

"It was really thrilling, but I still managed to avoid the Muggle helicopter." Draco boasted to Minnow proudly.

Mino hummed perfunctorily: "That's amazing."

The owl flew into the Great Hall, and Draco's owl brought him a large bag of sweets.

"Here." Draco gave half of it to Mino.

Mino's eyes sparkled, and he immediately stuffed his pockets with candies, then opened one and stuffed it into his mouth.

"I'm sure today's flying lesson will be exciting." Draco said enthusiastically.

This was the first flying lesson, taken by Slytherin and Gryffindor together.

Mino didn't know what his flying talent was. After all, he had inherited his father's transformation talent. The flying talent should belong to Harry.

Even before today, Mino had already listened to Ron and Draco telling a lot of their own flying stories. It was almost as if they were both older than the first. Although she was also very interested in flying, she just liked to do it slowly and leisurely. Like Quidditch, it's simply too much to bear.

"If I can't learn well, you have to teach me." Mino said.

Draco nodded in agreement.

At 03:30 in the afternoon, Draco couldn't wait to take Mino to the lawn - he just couldn't wait to move.

After Mino arrived for a while, he saw Ron and Harry walking over in a hurry.

Mino greeted them both, and Draco snorted disdainfully.

Their teacher, Ms. Huo Qi, is here. She has short gray hair and her eyes are yellow, like the eyes of an eagle.

"Okay, what are you all waiting for?" she snapped. "Everyone stand next to a broomstick. Hurry, hurry, hurry up."

Mino stood next to Draco, looking at the old and worn broom on the ground, thinking about what to do if it broke mid-flight.

"Put your right hand over the broom handle," Ms. Hooch shouted from the front, "and say, 'Get up.'"

"Get up!" everyone shouted.

Minnow's broom rose only halfway, then fell back down.

Mino was a little frustrated.

"Oh, it's okay, you're doing well. Look at that Gryffindor, there's no movement at all." Draco pointed at Neville and said.

Ms Hooch then showed them how to get on the broom without sliding off their heads.

Minnow finally got the broom up after three attempts.

Ms. Huo Qi praised Mino for his correct posture, which made Mino a little happy.

"Okay, as soon as I whistle, you kick your legs off the ground and kick hard," Ms. Hooch said, "hold the broom firmly, rise a few feet, then lean forward slightly, and fall vertically back to the ground. Listen to my whistle—three—two—"

But Neville was too nervous, afraid of being left on the ground. So before the whistle touched Ms. Huo Qi's lips, he kicked hard and flew up.

"Come back! Child!" Ms. Huo Qi shouted.

But Neville shot straight into the sky like a cork bursting out of a bottle. Then Neville slipped off the back of the broom in horror and fell heavily into the grass.

His broomstick was still rising higher and higher, and then began to slowly float towards the Forbidden Forest and disappeared.

Mino couldn't help but tremble when she saw this scene. She was a little afraid that she would fall like this.

Ms. Hooch leaned over and looked at Neville. Her face was as pale as Neville's.

"The wrist is broken." Ms. Huo Qi said, "Okay, kid - it's okay, you can get up."

She turned to look at the rest of the class.

"I'm taking this kid to the hospital. No one of you is allowed to move! Put the broomstick back where it belongs. Otherwise, you'll be kicked out of Hogwarts before you can even say 'Quidditch'. Let's go." ,Honey."

Neville's face was streaked with tears. He grabbed his wrist and limped away with Ms. Hooch.Ms. Hooch put her arms around her.

As soon as they were out of earshot, Draco burst into laughter.

"Did you see his face, that stupid big guy?"

The other Slytherin students were about to join in, but Mino glanced over coldly, and there was silence.

The Gryffindor students looked at this scene with some surprise.

Minnow patted Draco on the back.

"Okay, Draco, if it were me, would you laugh at me like this?"

Mino asked gently, squeezing his hands and thinking, not prepared to give Draco a chance to say "yes".

"Of course you wouldn't." Draco said matter-of-factly.

"But I'm a little scared," Minnow said, then gently placed the broomstick on the ground.

Mino seemed to want to say something when he saw Parkinson, but as soon as Mino's eyes met, his eyelids jumped and he silently took a step back.

"Harry, it seems that you are very talented in flying." Minnow said to Harry happily.

Harry scratched his head and said a little embarrassedly: "Oh, Ron is also very powerful."

Draco was a little dissatisfied, and suddenly he saw something in the grass, which was Neville's memory ball.

"What is this?" Draco picked it up and it sparkled in the sunlight.

"This is Neville's memory ball." Ron said, "Give it to me quickly, Malfoy."

Draco took a step back and raised the memory ball a little higher.

"How about this, Potter? If you can catch up with me, I will give you this thing." Draco said, riding on the broom.

"Are you serious?" Mino looked at Draco, "Ms. Hooch said we are not allowed to move."

"Don't worry, she won't come back so soon." Draco had already flown up, "As long as she doesn't find out, you're going to be a coward, Potter?"

Minnow thought Draco was a bit naive, but Harry really should show off his flying skills so that he could be seen by Professor McGonagall and join the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

"What? Is this the only thing the famous savior can do? Are you scared just to compete with me?" Draco opened his mouth with mocking words, which successfully made Harry angry, and then he also grabbed the broom.

"No!" shouted Hermione, "Ms. Hooch told us not to move - you'd get us all in trouble!"

"As long as she doesn't find out," Ron also said.

"Mino, just watch and see who has better skills." Draco said, raising his eyebrows at Harry provocatively.

Harry kicked the ground hard and rose into the air. This movement was so smooth and joyful that Ron couldn't help but scream.

At the same time, Gryffindor students began to cheer for Harry. Mino felt that as a Slytherin, he could not be compared to Gryffindor, so he called on the Slytherin students to cheer for Draco.

"Come on Draco!" Mino put his hand to his mouth as a trumpet and shouted to Draco.

While Draco was fighting with Harry, he took a moment to think about it, glanced at it, and then winked at Mino.

"Harry, come on!" Mino continued to shout, the bowl of water had to be leveled.

Draco tossed the glass ball in his hand.

"Potter, let's see who among us gets it first!" He threw the glass ball out of his hand.

Draco and Harry dived down at the same time, rushing towards the glass ball, both at the same speed.

Closer, faster... Harry's outstretched hand seemed to be a little closer than Draco...

"Harry Potter!"

This was the shout of Professor McGonagall, who was running towards here. Harry used his last reaction to straighten the broom a foot off the ground, and then landed firmly on the ground.

Draco got the glass ball, then stopped and looked at Professor McGonagall.

"In all my years at Hogwarts—never—"

Professor McGonagall was speechless in surprise, her eyes flashed with anger, "-how dare you--you will break your neck--"

"It's not Harry's fault, Professor—"

"Shut up, Miss Patil—"

"Professor, Draco and Harry are just-"

"Stop talking, Miss Potter. Now, Potter, follow me."

Probably because Professor McGonagall's expression was too serious, Mino inevitably became worried and looked at Harry with his mouth flattened, as if he was about to cry.

Draco put down his broom and coughed unnaturally.

"Sorry, Professor McGonagall, it's me who wants to compete with Potter."

Mino looked at Draco in surprise, not expecting him to admit his mistake to Professor McGonagall.

Ron also looked a little surprised, but in his heart he changed his view of Draco.

"I understand. I will tell Professor Snape. Potter, follow me."

Mino took a step forward, but Harry shook his head at her, and then jogged to keep up with Professor McGonagall.

Draco handed the memory ball to Ron.

"Look what you have done? Malfoy!" Parvati Patil glared at Draco angrily.

"Isn't it Potter himself who wants to compete with Draco?" Parkinson said, "Shut up, Patil."

"Harry will be fine," Minnow said softly, frowning.

"Have you been assimilated by Slytherin since you joined them?" Patil blushed and glared at Mino.

Not to be outdone, Mino kicked back.

"This matter is indeed Draco's fault. We will explain the situation to Professor Snape."

"Oh, yes, you are Snape's favorite student," Patil continued. "Look, Snape has added all the points that Harry deducted to you."

"Shut up!" Draco said with a gloomy look on his face, "I'm sure Potter will be fine."

Mino could probably understand what Draco meant. It was not difficult for Draco to ask Snape to intercede for Harry or to ask Lucius to say something, but he would have to be taught a lesson by Lucius.

Mino pulled Draco's robe and motioned for him to step back.

"I believe nothing will happen to Harry. Professor Dumbledore is a kind man. I don't think he will kick Harry out of Hogwarts because of this incident." Minow said.

Patil wanted to say something more, but Ms. Hooch came back. After briefly understanding what happened, Minnow asked Ms. Hooch to find Professor Snape.

Madam Hooch agreed to the request, and Minnow left with Draco.

Snape happened to be in the office and received the message from Professor McGonagall.

Minnow and Draco stood together in front of Snape's desk, their heads bowed.

"Professor," Mino spoke first, "I was the one who suggested that Harry and Draco compete. If there is any punishment, come at me."

Regarding Mino's very loyal behavior, Draco quickly defended: "No, it's me -"

Minnow kicked Draco lightly, the movement concealed by his loose wizard robes.

"It's me, Professor."

Mino stared at Snape with his big watery eyes. After a long moment of silence, Snape looked at Draco.

"There is no punishment." Snape said, "Potter has made the Gryffindor Quidditch team. I think we can't be left behind. What do you think, Draco? I heard that you got the memory first. ball?"

Draco was stunned, and Mino quickly shook Draco's sleeve.

"Yes, Professor."

"Then, I hope you can get the Golden Snitch first in this year's Quidditch school match."

Mino opened his eyes and cheered before Draco did.

"Great!"

Draco was still a little dazed when he walked out of the office, but he was obviously very happy.

"Hey, I made the Quidditch team in first year?"

Mino suppressed a smile and nodded: "Yes, you are super awesome!"

"My father will be very happy to know!" Draco said, "Come with me to post the letter tonight."

Mino squinted his eyes and smiled, then took out two pieces of candy from his pocket and handed one to Draco.

"Can I watch you train then?"

"Of course."
