HP wants to be boss at Hogwarts

Chapter 64 Entering the Leaky Cauldron

The bus seemed to drive for a long time, until only Harry and Minnow were left on the bus - most wizards had got off in Aberdeen.

"Okay, Petunia, Vernon," Stan clapped his hands and said, "Where are you going in London?"

"Diagon Alley," Harry said.

"Okay," Stan said, "Hold on, let's go..."

boom!

It was not only the sound of the car, but also the sound of Mino hitting his head against the wall.

"It hurts..." Mino covered his head and leaned on the bed, like a cooked shrimp.

Harry walked over helplessly and rubbed Mino's head.

"Hold on tight."

Mino raised his head, with tears in the corners of his eyes: "I'm reading a book..."

Soon, Ern slammed on the brakes, and the Knight Bus stopped in front of a shabby little bar - the Leaky Cauldron. Behind it was the mysterious entrance leading to the diagonal.

"Thank you," Harry and Minnow said to Ern.

They jumped down the steps and helped Stan move their boxes and Hedwig's birdcage to the sidewalk.

"Well," said Harry, "goodbye!"

But Stan ignored Harry. He was still standing in the doorway of the car, staring wide-eyed at the dark entrance to the Leaky Cauldron.

"So you are here, Harry, Minnow," said a voice.

Mino covered her head and before turning around, she felt a hand on her shoulder. When she turned to look at Harry, she found that he also had a hand on his shoulder.

At the same time, Stan shouted: "Oh my God! Ern, come on! Come on!"

Minnow raised his head and looked back, just in time to see a large face plate turned upside down - that was the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge himself.

Oh, by the way, I also saw Fudge’s unshaved nose hair, which made Mino think about never looking at people like this again.

Minnow turned his head back and looked at Harry, seeing fear in his eyes.

Stan jumped to the sidewalk and stood beside them.

"What do you call Petunia and Vernon, Minister?" he asked excitedly.

"Petunia? Vernon?" Fudge frowned and said, "This is Harry and Minnow Potter."

"I knew it!" Stan shouted happily, "Ern! Ern! Guess who Petunia and Vernon are, Ern! It's Harry and Minnow Potter! I saw Minnow's scar! I knew it was a scar!”

"Yes," Fudge said impatiently, "I'm glad the Knight Bus brought Harry here, but now he and I need to go to the Leaky Cauldron..."

Fudge put his hand on Harry and Minnow's shoulders harder, but soon the owner of the hand found that he couldn't push Minnow.

Mino still insisted on not being pushed, with his two feet firmly planted on the ground, silently reciting "Stand like a pine" in his heart.

Fudge seemed a little embarrassed and tried two more times before giving up. He could only ask Mino for his opinion before he successfully led the two people into the bar.

A hunched figure emerged from the door behind the bar, holding a lamp.It was the skinny, toothless bar owner Tom.

"You've found them, Minister!" said Tom. "What do you want? Beer? Brandy?"

"Just a pot of tea," said Fudge.

"Can I have a glass of water?" Mino raised his hand silently, "I'm a little thirsty."

"Okay, okay, of course, no problem."

There was a loud grinding sound and heavy breathing from behind. Stan and Ern appeared carrying Harry and Minnow's box and Hedwig's birdcage. They looked around excitedly.

"Why don't you tell us who you are, um, Petunia, Vernon?" Stan said to Harry and Minnow with a smile, Ern's owl-like face peeking out from Stan's shoulder with interest.

"Because that's fun, right?" Minnow imitated Stan.

"A private room, please, Tom," said Fudge bluntly.

"Oh, it looks like we have to go," Minnow waved friendly to Stan and Ern, "Goodbye."

"Goodbye," Harry said sadly, as Tom led Fudge towards the passage next to the bar.

"Bye, Petunia!" shouted Stan. "Bye, Vernon!"

Harry held Mino's hand and looked very nervous, probably because he felt that he would inevitably be expelled from school and might also be imprisoned.

Following Fudge and Tom's lantern, they walked through the narrow passage and entered a small single room.Tom snapped his fingers, flames burst into the grate, and he bowed out of the room.

"Sit down, Harry, Minnow," said Fudge, pointing to the two chairs by the fire.

Mino squeezed Harry's hand gently, and then sat down first.

Harry took a deep breath, suddenly looked away, and then gave Mino a firm look.

Mino:? ?

Minotao later learned that what Harry was thinking at the time was that Minotaur could defeat even Voldemort. If there was any emergency, such as trying to capture both of them into Azkaban, he would ask Minotaur to knock down Fudge. Then let her escape and go to Azkaban to be imprisoned (and cast a forgetting spell on Fudge to make him forget that he was beaten by Minnow).

"Harry, Minnow, this is Cornelius Fudge, Minister of Magic."

"Hello?" Mino asked tentatively.

The bar owner Tom appeared again at this time, brought tea and toast, and the water Mino needed, and then left the private room.

"Oh," Fudge said while pouring tea, "to tell you the truth, you really made us confused. You actually escaped from your aunt and uncle's house like that! I thought... but you are safe now, this is the most important.

Mino was drinking water, feeling a little uncomfortable because Fudge didn't speak clearly.

Fudge took a piece of toast himself, spread some butter on it, and then pushed the plate in front of Harry and Minnow, but because there were two people, he had to do the above action again.

"Eat, you both look like you are about to collapse." In fact, Minnow ate several pieces of chocolate in the car and looked very good. "But... we have already blown away the unfortunate incident of Miss Maggie Dursley." It's settled, I think you will be happy to hear it. Two members of the Incident Reversal Unit were sent to Privet Drive two hours ago. Miss Dursley has been deflated and her memory has been modified. It’s gone. She has no memory of this matter at all. That’s it, it didn’t cause any big trouble.”

"Then...what did Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia say?" Minnow asked.

"Well, it can't be denied that they are extremely angry," said Fudge, "but they are still prepared to let you go back for the summer next year, as long as you spend Christmas and Easter at Hogwarts."

"Oh, they are so nice." Mino said sincerely.

"We've always spent Christmas and Easter at Hogwarts," Harry said, "and we never want to go back to Privet Drive."

Mino took Harry's hand.

"Okay, okay, I believe you won't think so when you calm down," Fudge said in a worried tone, "They are your relatives after all. Look at Mino, she has calmed down. I dare I'm sure you still like each other deep down."

Mino shrugged noncommittally.

"Now all that's left," said Fudge, taking a third piece of toast and buttering it, "is where you can spend the last three weeks of your summer vacation. I suggest you stay here at the Leaky Cauldron. Rent a house—"

"Wait," Harry asked suddenly, "how to punish me - I mean, what happened with Aunt Maggie was my own fault and had nothing to do with Mino."

Mino looked at Harry with emotion, and then thought that this was Harry's fault, and was not very moved.

Fudge blinked.

"punish?"

"I broke the law!" Harry said, "The Reasonable Restraint of Minor Wizards Act! If I have to go to jail, please let me go to jail alone!"

"What are you talking about? Didn't we agree that we would go to the streets of London to be liars together?" Mino was very shocked and a little sad, "We also wanted to go to Azkaban together, but you actually don't want me?"

"No," Harry looked at Mino, "I have to take responsibility for what I did."

"Oh, dear, I'm glad," Fudge said with a smile, "but we won't punish you for such a small thing. It was just an accident, and we won't punish someone for inflating his aunt. Sent him to Azkaban."

Minnow thought Fudge was farting.

Harry felt the same way.

"Last year, I received a formal warning just because a house elf broke a cake at my uncle's house!" Harry frowned and said, "The Ministry of Magic said that if anyone uses magic there again, we will be removed from the house. Expelled from Hogwarts!"

Fudge suddenly seemed very embarrassed. Minnow could probably guess that the reason why they were so tolerant to them this year was because of the godfather - they thought the godfather was here to kill Minnow and Harry.

"The situation is changing, Harry... we must consider... under the current circumstances... Needless to say, you must not want to be expelled, right?"

"Of course not," said Harry.

"That's right, then why are you still bothering about this matter?" Fudge said with a brisk smile, "Okay, let's have a cookie. Harry, I'm going to see if Tom has a room for you."

Fudge strode out of the private room, and Harry stared at his back with a slightly confused look on his face.

"This is a strange thing," said Harry.

"That's right." Mino agreed.

Fudge is back with the bar owner Tom.

"Nos. 11 and 12 are vacant," Fudge said. "I think you will live very comfortably. There is only one thing, I believe you will understand: I don't want you to go to London in the Muggle world without authorization, do you understand?" Don't leave Diagon Alley, you have to come back here before dark every night. I'm sure you understand. Tom will watch over you for me."

"Okay," Harry said slowly, "but why—"

"We don't want to lose you again, do we?" Fudge said with a hearty laugh, "No, no... I mean... we'd better know where you are..."

"Okay, Minister." Mino nodded obediently.

"Okay, I have to go, there are still a lot of things to do."

"Is Black whereabouts?" Harry asked.

Fudge obviously paused, and it seemed that he was even more troubled.

"What did you say? Oh, you heard that too - well, no, no news yet, but it's only a matter of time. Azkaban's guards are never free-lancers...and I've never seen them. So annoying.”

Mino thought for a while and found that the guards of Azkaban should not eat, so it was no wonder that the godfather could escape.

"Okay, goodbye."

Fudge held out a hand and shook Minnow's and Harry's.

Harry suddenly asked Fudge if he could sign their Hogsmeade permission form, but Fudge didn't agree and seemed awkward.

To put it simply, the reason Fudge mentioned was not the real reason, and it was obviously nonsense.

In order to prevent Harry from asking any more questions, Fudge left in a hurry, leaving his robe unbuttoned.

Tom, the bar owner, took Harry and Mino to their respective rooms.

"Good night, Harry." Minnow yawned.

"You feel--"

Mino made a stop gesture: "Let me sleep first."

"Okay, good night." Harry said, "We'll talk about this tomorrow. Do you think it has anything to do with Black?"

Mino gave Harry a thumbs up and then returned to room 12.

He didn't sleep in the car. Mino was really sleepy and went to bed without taking off his clothes.
