229 Chaos in the camp
"I said, we fought bravely." The Bulgarian Minister of Magic said solemnly, "They have done a very good job."
"You speak English?" said Fudge, in a very irritated tone, "but you make me gesticulate all day long!"
"Hey, that was fun!" the Bulgarian minister said, shrugging.
Harry noticed the man in the suit beside Fudge patting Fudge's back gently, trying to comfort him, but it was too late for him to observe more, because Bagman started talking again.
"Now, the members of the Irish team, accompanied by their mascots, circle the field, and the Quidditch World Cup trophy is delivered to the top box!" Bagman said in a bell-like voice.
The box they were in was illuminated by a dazzling light. They could not open their eyes, but all the spectators in the stands could see what was going on in the box.
Two panting wizards carried a large gold cup into the box and handed it to Cornelius Fudge.
Fudge still looked unhappy because he had been gesticulating all day in vain, trying to make the Bulgarians understand him.No one would be happy if it were him.
He was looked at like a monkey for a day!
"Let us applaud warmly and welcome the members of the Bulgarian team who are proud to be defeated to the stage!" Bagman shouted.
The seven defeated Bulgarian players went upstairs and entered the box.The audience below applauded to show their appreciation.
Harry suddenly seemed to understand why the top box was so rare!
Because they actually have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Quidditch players!
One by one, the Bulgarian team members walked into the two rows of seats in the box and took turns shaking hands with their ministers and Fudge. Bagman called out everyone's name in due time.
Krum was at the back, looking very embarrassed, with two dark circles under his eyes particularly eye-catching on his blood-stained face - he had been beaten by an Irish leprechaun.Although he still held the Golden Snitch in his hand and refused to let go, it could not change the fact that he lost the game.
When Bagman announced Krum's name, the entire stadium gave him the loudest applause and deafening cheers.
Hermione felt something strange. She just felt as if someone had been staring at her, but when she wanted to search for the source of the sight, the feeling disappeared again.
Then the members of the Irish team came on stage. They raised the trophy high, and the audience burst into thunderous applause. Even captain Aidan Lynch, who had fallen off the broom because of Wronski's fake move, grinned. smiled.
Finally, the Irish team left the box and rode around the field on their broomsticks. It was, Bagman pointed his wand at his throat and whispered, "a whisper."
"This game will be talked about for several years," he said hoarsely, "What an unexpected turn... It's a pity that the game didn't go on longer... Ah, by the way... I still have to go to the settlement. …”
Ludo Bagman hurriedly left the top box.
However, both Harry and Hermione could probably guess that Bagman would probably go bankrupt.Because he offered a lot of people a very high odds.
James and Sirius walked down the stairs together with Harry and Hermione in the middle. But there were obviously too many people in the gym, and they were surrounded by a flood of people returning to camp.
But as they walked back along the passage illuminated by the lanterns, rough singing came from the night sky, and the little leprechauns kept flying back and forth above their heads, waving the lanterns in their hands and giggling.
Finally reaching the edge of camp, James decided they had better get some sleep and wait until tomorrow morning before leaving - there would be plenty of souvenirs of Ireland's victory after the game and he didn't want to miss it.
But no one wanted to sleep. Considering that the surroundings were too noisy, James agreed to let everyone sit outside and chat before going to sleep in the tent.
Regarding the issue of collision fouls, Harry and James had different opinions.
James thinks that is a very reasonable method. In order to win, take necessary measures when necessary. But as a child who has lived in the Muggle world, Harry believes that he should not win the game by hurting others under any circumstances.
Hermione and Sirius did not participate in their discussion. They lay on the sand and looked at the bright starry sky. After a while, their eyes closed together.
"Get up! Get up!" James shouted angrily, shaking Sirius' shoulders vigorously.
"problem occurs!"
"what's up?"
Hermione also sat up in confusion. She vaguely felt that something was wrong. The sounds of the camp changed. He heard screams and the sound of people running in panic. She almost immediately took out her wand and held the pendant on her chest tightly.
"I have to go help," James already had the wand in his hand, and he stared into the distance with a gloomy face, "Sirius, take the children to a safe place."
"Okay." Sirius nodded immediately. His hand slipped and the wand slipped from his sleeve into his palm. "I'll send them away from the crowd first."
Harry wanted to say something else, but James had already sprinted away.
"dad--!"
"He will be fine. He is a very strong wizard. Trust him." Sirius squeezed out a smile and protected the two young wizards as they rushed to the other side of the camp.
By the light of several burning campfires, they could see people running toward the woods, as if something in Dobby was moving toward them at the camp. The thing shone strangely and made a sound like a gun.
Loud jeers, wild laughter, and drunken shouts also moved towards them. Then, a bright green light flashed, illuminating everything.
A group of wizards huddled tightly together, everyone pointed their wands upward, and moved forward together, slowly moving on the field.
Above them, the camp manager, Mr. Roberts, was floating in the air, like a marionette being twisted into various weird shapes in the air.Next to him, there is a woman and a child, who should be Mr. Roberts' family.
More wizards joined the group as they began to appear in front of Sirius, wearing hoods so that no one could see their faces, and letting out terrible laughter.
"Death Eaters—"
Sirius said with resentment on his face.
"what?"
"Death Eaters, Voldemort's followers." Hermione gasped. They had been running for several minutes, which made Hermione, who was asleep a few minutes ago, unable to react.
"We have to help them." Harry stared at the child controlled by the Death Eaters in the air. He was spinning like a top in the air, and the wizard below screamed happily.
"You speak English?" said Fudge, in a very irritated tone, "but you make me gesticulate all day long!"
