A friendly day at Hogwarts
Chapter 31 Chinese Fireball Dragon?
(Old rule, I added this paragraph because I have a strong desire to survive. This chapter will introduce some settings about mythical creatures in "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" through the Chinese Fireball Dragon. Since the Zou appeared in the movie version of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" I personally don’t think it’s too dramatic. Of course, if readers don’t like it, please don’t abandon the book. You can leave a message here. I will decide whether to modify this chapter and delete some settings based on the comments. Thank you for your understanding!)
"Ah, yes!" Glenn stood up and sat down, resolving the awkward situation. "I saw a magical creature in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and I thought it was very interesting."
Hagrid's eyes lit up. After working at Hogwarts for so many years, few people came to him to talk about the most interesting magical creatures.
"Tell me about it," he said enthusiastically.
Glenn opened the book, flipped to one of the pages, and pointed to the illustration on it: "Fire Dragon."
A smile instantly appeared on Hagrid's face.
As we all know, this topic is too much for his liking.
"I didn't expect you to be interested in fire dragons!" Hagrid said with a smile on his face, "I also know a boy from the Weasley family. I must introduce you to him if I have the chance!"
The Weasley boy?Charlie? At least it has to be an important role...

"That's great!" Glenn also showed a heartfelt smile.
"It's a pity that he is already in seventh grade and will graduate soon." Hagrid sighed slightly, "Tell me, what's your problem?"
"Well, I saw a creature called the Chinese Fireball in Mr. Scamander's classification of fire dragons." Glenn said, "As you can see, I am part Chinese, so I looked it up Let’s take a look at the Chinese book about magical creatures, it’s called The Classic of Mountains and Seas.”
Hagrid seemed very interested and waited for him to continue.
"In this book, I did not find any creature similar to the fireball dragon or the lion dragon. According to the description, the Chinese dragon and the fire dragon seem to be two completely different creatures, just like the Chinese Phoenix and Mr. Dumbledore's immortal Like a bird.”
Glenn paused, and seeing that Hagrid had no intention of interjecting, he continued to make up nonsense (cross out).
"According to the description, the Chinese dragon seems to be a magical creature with water attributes, and it is not vicious. Instead, it is regarded by Muggles as a symbol of luck."
"I didn't expect you to know much about Chinese dragons," Hagrid nodded. "In fact, you are right. The Fireball Dragon is not a Chinese magical creature at all."
Glenn was stunned. He just casually mentioned the doubts he had while reading a book in his previous life, but he didn't expect that he got it right.
Hagrid continued: "I have had the honor to meet Mr. Scamander several times, and it was not until the last meeting that I heard him talk about this mistake he made before publishing the work. But the damn publisher did not allow him to make changes. .”
Glenn:? ? ?
"You know, those publishers are like this, they only know Jin Gallon. They said that making such a degree of modification will reduce the influence of the book and... what is that word?" Hagrid scratched his head, "That's right! Credibility!"
Glenn was speechless.
"The Fireball Dragon, or Lion Dragon, is actually a type of fire dragon from Japan. The few that Mr. Scamander saw accidentally when traveling in China were all ornamental items sold to China by Japanese wizards." Hai Ge said helplessly, "That's why he wrote in the book that they are willing to share a territory with one or two other fire dragons."
Glenn was confused. This kind of thing could happen. Is it a fire dragon zoo?
(Private setting, the original setting about the Chinese Fireball Dragon was too unreliable, so I wrote this plot to adjust it. In fact, I wanted to write about the Fireball Dragon being brought to the war, but I was just afraid of river crabs.)
Hagrid looked at Glenn, who had "See you soon" written all over his face, and spread his hands.
"So..." Glenn said thoughtfully, "Mr. Scamander later went to China?"
Hagrid nodded heavily: "Yeah, it's a pity that I can't go with him. It is said that he met more interesting magical creatures that time."
"For example?" Glenn suddenly became interested. He remembered the hidden bloodline on his character card, which was most likely from a mother he had never met.
In fact, the magical bloodlines of many families have shadows of magical animals, such as the Phoenix affinity of the Dumbledore family, the snake affinity of the Gaunt family, and so on.
"For example...Merlin! The names of those animals are so difficult to pronounce!" Hagrid recalled the magical creatures that Newt Scamander once introduced. "There is one that is smaller than an elephant and has five colors on its body. A big cat with feathers and a tail longer than its body. It runs very fast and can even ignore unplottable magic and anti-Apparition spells. Its name seems to be...Zouwu."
"It's obviously a brain ax..." Glenn complained secretly.
"I remembered another one," Hagrid said enthusiastically, "It is a kind of bird whose whole body is cyan, with only its eyes, beak and tail feathers white. It is said that just one look at it can cure diseases, and it is also used to treat diseases. Many people regard it as a symbol of love.”
Glenn recalled the Book of Mountains and Seas that he had read when he was bored in his previous life, and remembered a mythical creature that was very similar to the one described by Hagrid.
"Qing Geng?"
Hagrid was stunned: "How did you know?"
"There are also records about this creature in the Book of Mountains and Seas." Glenn replied naturally.
Hagrid was still immersed in memories: "There is also a magical animal that looks like a lion, has a goatee, and has a horn on its head. It can predict the future and can talk like a human. Its name is..."
He knocked his head with some annoyance: "Look at my memory! What does it seem to be called...White Book?"
"Baize?" Glenn thought for a while and said.
"Yes, yes! That's it!" Hagrid slapped his forehead, "These magical animals are so interesting. It's a pity that I don't have the chance to see them with my own eyes."
"Yeah! China is really too far away." Glenn sighed.
He lowered his head and looked at his watch. Seeing that it was almost time, he was ready to go back to the castle.
"Thank you very much for answering my questions, Mr. Hagrid," he said politely.
"Just call me Hagrid," Hagrid didn't care about politeness. "You are welcome to chat with me at any time. You can try my syrup toffee next time."
Glenn laughed dryly, stood up and was about to leave, but accidentally saw Hagrid's patchwork mattress again.
He hesitated for a moment, but couldn't help but said: "To be honest, I think you should improve your quality of life appropriately, Hagrid."
He drew his wand and pointed it at the bed.
"Restore as usual!"
With a flicker of light, the bedding instantly transformed into something new and was neatly stacked on the bed board.
Glenn breathed a sigh of relief, looking much more comfortable this way...
