A friendly day at Hogwarts
Chapter 524 Return to Hogwarts
When Glenn returned to Diagon Alley, he met Percy dragging his luggage in front of the wand shop.Just like when I saw him at the Ministry of Magic at midnight the day before, he was wearing a rumpled robe, his hair had grown a lot, and his already not very strong figure was a bit thinner.
Obviously, without the care of Mrs. Weasley, his life in London was indeed not very satisfactory.
Not only that, but from the obviously dark circles under his eyes and the stubble on his chin, it could be seen that he had probably not slept at all since the last time they met.
Due to the Loyalty Charm, he couldn't find the entrance to St. Martin's Lane at all. Old Ollivanders closed early today, so he could only sit on the bench outside the store and take a nap with his suitcase in his arms.
"Percy?"
Glenn's voice startled him awake.
"Is it you...Glenn?" He raised his head blankly and immediately showed an expression of surprise, "This is really great...I came to see my parents, but the wand shop was closed...over there on the Muggle street. I can't find the entrance..."
Seeing his haggard look, Glenn suppressed a smile and asked, "Didn't you write a letter to Mr. Weasley in advance?"
"I wrote..." Percy said in confusion, "But I didn't receive a reply, and Hermes didn't come back either..."
Glenn thought for a moment and immediately understood that the Weasleys must not have received Percy's letter, and that Hermes was most likely in the hands of the twins.
"Thank God, I met you..." Percy said, "I've been waiting here for a few hours. If I can't get in, I'll probably have to go to the Leaky Cauldron all night."
"You're lucky," Glenn said with a smile. "Fortunately, Dumbledore planned to come back to say hello, otherwise even I wouldn't be able to take you in."
"Huh? Why?" Percy looked confused.
"The Loyalty Charm." Glenn explained succinctly.
Dumbledore didn't say anything more. He whispered the contents of the note he originally wrote to Harry, and then took Percy back to Ollivander's old house.
"You're back! Dinner is almost ready, just waiting for you..." Mrs. Weasley heard the movement and came out, and then saw Percy with an apologetic face.
"Mother..."
Then...
"what!!!!"
A scream echoed throughout the house, and everyone in the kitchen was startled and rushed out, Tonks and Sirius still holding their wands.
Everyone was stunned when they saw the three people at the door.
Mr. Weasley reacted quickly and rushed to Mrs. Weasley's side in a few steps, holding his wife who almost fell down from the surprise.
"Percy..."
Everyone's expressions were a little complicated, especially those who worked in the Ministry of Magic. In the past six months, because of Fudge, Percy had caused them trouble in secret and overtly.
"Sorry, everyone..." Percy swallowed, his expression awkward and nervous, even the roots of his ears turned red just like when Ron was embarrassed.
"Just come back. Let's eat first." The respected Mad-Eye said, barely breaking the awkwardness.
Tonks and Sirius put away their wands, nodded to Percy, and turned back to the kitchen.
"Why did you bring him in?" The twins grumbled as Glenn passed by.
Glenn glanced at them with a smile and asked, "If I'm not mistaken, you have kept Jémes' letter, right?"
Everyone, including Dumbledore, entered the kitchen, leaving only the Weasleys and Percy's family.
Soon, Mrs. Weasley's uncontrollable crying came from outside the door.
The last days of the vacation came to an end quickly, and the sudden war at the Ministry of Magic seemed like a dream.
Although it has caused an uproar in the outside world, it seems that nothing has changed for everyone who has returned to school after the vacation.
Just like half a year ago, they were woken up by Mrs. Weasley early in the morning, had a hurried breakfast, and gathered outside the door with their suitcases in a mess.
The only difference is that, now that Fudge has finally had to come to terms with reality, they've reinstated some of the special treatment where appropriate.
For example, there were three Ministry of Magic limousine cars parked in St. Martin's Lane at this time, as well as staff in neat uniforms who helped them load their luggage into the cars.
"The Ministry of Magic's cars are much more comfortable than Muggle taxis, aren't they?" Ron leaned back in his seat comfortably and said to Tonks beside him.
After Harry was caught under his nose, the entire security measures have been improved a lot from the highest level. As long as he appears outside of Hogwarts, almost all members of the Order of the Phoenix must be there. were dispatched, including Percy, who had just returned.
Regarding his joining the Order of the Phoenix, the twins once again complained about their dissatisfaction.
The three limousines were packed with more security personnel than the people who needed to go back to Hogwarts. In addition to the people from the Order of the Phoenix, there were also five or six Aurors specially arranged by the Ministry of Magic.
Even though Fudge's reputation has fallen to the bottom, he still retains a glimmer of hope, hoping to get Dumbledore's support and keep his position as Minister of Magic. Therefore, he was particularly helpful in providing convenience to Harry.
The group arrived at King's Cross Station early, walked through the partition wall one by one, and came to platform nine and three-quarters where the old steam train was parked.
As expected, Harry's appearance caused quite a commotion on the platform.
"I knew it would be like this..." Harry looked gloomy, carrying Hedwig's cage, pretending not to be able to see the pointing glances and whispers around him.
"The troubles of being famous..." Ron said half-jokingly, but there was still a hint of sourness in his tone.
Glenn smiled and patted his shoulder: "You know troubles, Ron."
"You have to look on the bright side of everything, Harry." Qiu comforted, "After all, no one thinks you are a liar anymore, right?"
In order to prevent the Aurors who were eager to set up a human isolation zone from causing chaos, several people quickly boarded the carriage and occupied two compartments together.
Eddie and others also arrived one after another and sat with them.
At 11 o'clock, as usual, the train set off on time with a long whistle, leaving a wisp of black smoke on the platform that slowly dissipated.
Since it was not the beginning of the school year, Glenn and the other prefects did not have to go to the prefect box to listen to the work arrangements of the male and female student union presidents. They could stay in the cubicle and chat easily.
The city scenery outside the car window gradually faded away, replaced by endless fields and forests.
"By the way, Harry." Fred put away a broken fake wand and asked, "We just heard Glenn talk about the process of their rescue, but we haven't heard you talk about what happened before that. what happened..."
