Konoha: This Sasuke is not too cold

Chapter 62: Dimensionality

In the space, Sasuke and Hongma were looking at books in their hands.

In fact, Sasuke didn't read anything in the book. He just flipped through it randomly to hide his emotions.

“If you have anything to ask, just ask.”

The captain glanced at Sasuke, who was pretending to be calm, and spoke slowly.

"Actually, there are many"

Sasuke sighed, closed the book, and leaned on the bookshelf with complicated thoughts.

"For example, the time traveler, the power called domineering, and then you, or the essence of the world."

"The only thing you really want to ask is the last one, right?"

The captain looked at Sasuke amusedly, but his tone was not relaxed.

"You have to know that the truth is often crueler than you think."

The captain closed the book and his tone became flat.

"Whether it's the so-called time traveler, whether it's domineering, whether it's you, or this world, the nature of these things is not a good thing for you."

"I just don't want to live in a muddle"

Sasuke looked around this blank space with a complicated tone. It was the first time that this place felt so strange.

"What price are you going to pay for the truth? After all, the price I paid back then is beyond your imagination."

The captain's tone also became serious and no longer so lazy.

"Is there anything about me that you like?" Sasuke asked calmly.

"Have"

"What is it?"

"Your eyes, oh, by the way, I'm not talking about the reincarnation eyes."

Sasuke couldn't help but remain silent, he was very puzzled.

"Is it special?"

"Very special" the captain nodded noncommittally.

"Especially your pair, they are really rare."

"Really..." Sasuke slowly closed his eyes, weighing the pros and cons in his mind.

Are these kaleidoscopes important to him?

important, not important.

These eyes contain his hope, but is his hope more important than the truth of the world...

"I reject"

Sasuke opened his eyes and looked into the distance with a calm expression.

"Oh? Why? To you, it's just a pair of kaleidoscopes. Is it that important?" the captain asked curiously.

“To me it’s more than just a kaleidoscope, it’s a reflection of my heart.”

"I will see clearly the nature of the world with these eyes."

Sasuke's tone was a little calm, and he had no regrets. This was the real choice in his heart.

"You are very sensible"

The captain didn't feel angry because of Sasuke's rejection. He lay back on the recliner with a lazy tone.

Sasuke didn't answer, and the atmosphere was somewhat silent for a while.

After a long silence, Sasuke asked a question deep in his heart.

"Why did you help me in the first place?"

"Just do whatever you want. Just do it. Just treat it as the mercy of gods to mortals, haha."

The captain waved his hand nonchalantly, his words a bit harsh.

"Yeah... Anyway, thank you"

There was no sadness, joy or anger on Sasuke's face, because what the other person said was the truth.

If it weren't for the help of the other party, the person who would be living in his place now would be the time traveler.

"What an idiot"

Listening to Sasuke's thanks, the captain sighed, put his hands behind his head, crossed his legs and looked at the snow-white sky in a daze.

"What does this world mean to you? Sasuke." After a long time, the captain came back to his senses and looked at Sasuke and asked.

"This world..."

Recalling his short 11-year life, Sasuke felt a little confused for a moment. What does this world mean to him?

After thinking for a while, Sasuke uttered one word.

"Family"

"Great answer." The captain smiled, quite satisfied with this answer.

"But do you know what this world means to those higher-dimensional beings?"

Faced with this question, Sasuke did not answer because he did not understand the meaning of this sentence well.

The captain reached out and grabbed the book on the table and opened it casually.

"To them, your so-called home, your family, your friends, your enemies, or you, are just a series of numbers, a sketch, and a story in their eyes."

"They can't even observe anything about the world."

"The pen and paper in their hands are tools for you to change your destiny. Your world is following their will."

"Even they themselves don't know the impact their every move will have on the world."

"They may not be powerful. If they pull you to the same dimension, you will be powerful enough to become a so-called god."

"However, there is no if in this truth."

"This is suppression from the dimension. This is the truth belonging to the dimension. This is also what you want, the so-called truth of the world."

"Actually, you should have discovered some truth from these books."

"The essence of a time traveler is actually a process of degradation."

"It's interesting to degenerate from a high-dimensional creature that controls the world to a controlled low-dimensional creature, right?"

The captain's words were soft and slow, but the information contained in them left Sasuke stunned.

Is this the nature of the world...

"Actually, you don't need to care about my words. This is my own understanding. As for your understanding, you have to find it yourself."

The captain smiled, interrupting Sasuke's musings.

"So, what kind of creature do you belong to?" Sasuke looked at the captain and asked seriously.

"I, I don't know either."

The captain shook his head, his tone a little melancholy.

"I thought I was close to the truth countless times, but in the end I found out that everything was an illusion."

"Maybe in the original trajectory of this world, the time traveler is the so-called protagonist, or maybe you are the designated protagonist, and I am your grandfather."

"Even my appearance was arranged. Who do you know about all this?"

The captain laughed and didn't care too much about this kind of thing.

He had been through enough and these things were nothing.

"Why are you suddenly telling me this again?"

Sasuke didn't quite understand what this man was thinking. Even though he had already rejected his deal, he didn't care and told him this information.

Thinking about it, if the other party really cares about these eyes of his and wants to rob them with his strength, he will not be able to resist at all.

"I see a glimmer of hope in you, and that is hope related to me."

"So, I also want to make a deal with you," the captain said with a smile.

"What deal?"

"I give you the key to the truth in exchange for a promise that you can achieve in the future."

"Okay" Sasuke agreed without thinking too much.

"Don't you think about it? Maybe you will die?"

"Believe me, when you embark on this path, you will face a depth and despair that you cannot imagine. Death is not the end."

The captain narrowed his eyes and spoke in a deep and serious tone.

"Do I still have a choice?" Sasuke chuckled.

"Maybe." The captain also smiled. As he said this, he dug into his pants pocket and took out a box and threw it to Sasuke.

"Relax for the next week. I don't have much time, so in the next period of time, I will train you well. You'd better be determined to die."

As he said that, he opened the book casually and continued reading with his legs crossed, which was very informal.

Sasuke didn't say anything more. He caught the box and slowly dispersed.

After Sasuke disappeared, the captain seemed to remember something.

"Hey! I'm taking back that system of yours! That thing is not a freebie for time travellers! It's a game modifier I made myself!"

As the words fell, he grabbed it and a light ball was pulled out of the void.

"Without this thing, it would be really inconvenient to play games."

The captain stuffed the ball of light into his trouser pocket and continued to read a book with his legs crossed.

"How close am I to the truth this time?"

Muttering softly to himself echoed in the space, the captain glanced above his head seemingly unintentionally, and looked at each other for a moment as if across endless time.
