Ancient Warlocks at Hogwarts

Chapter 16 Quidditch Competition

On Saturday morning, most little wizards would choose to sleep a little longer, so when everyone rushed to the auditorium for breakfast, it was already close to ten o'clock.

It was just over an hour before Gryffindor's first Quidditch match of the year, and Harry was once again in a nervous mood.

He barely ate anything, even though Ron advised him to take a few bites, because no one knew how long it would take for the Snitch to be caught.

Andre wasn't worried about this. The game wouldn't last long. What he was thinking about now was how to interrupt Quirrell's spellcasting later.

You can't put your hope in Hermione. What if she doesn't bump into Quirrell when she goes to burn Snape's robe this time?In that case, Harry would definitely be thrown from the sky dozens of feet high by his Nimbus 2000.

By eleven o'clock, almost all the teachers and students of the school entered the stands of the Quidditch pitch.

Andre followed Hermione and Ron to the highest row. In order to surprise Harry, they made a huge banner out of a dirty sheet.

In addition to saying 'Potter Must Win', it also has a huge Gryffindor lion carefully drawn on it.

Andre cast an activation spell on the head lion. This is a branch of transfiguration magic that can make inanimate objects move. Most of the time, it is used on various statues - in the Muggle world. The legend of the gargoyles originated from this magic.

The majestic lion kept moving and roaring on the banner, attracting the attention of many little wizards.

The Gryffindor students burst into loud cheers, and even Professor McGonagall looked over with admiration.

But soon, everyone's attention shifted to the field, where players from both sides appeared.

The 11-year-old Harry looked a bit short in the crowd, especially compared with Marcus Flint, the captain of Slytherin. He almost seemed to have troll blood.

The referee of this game is Ms. Huo Qi.She stood in the middle of the court, her broomstick in hand, waiting for the players from both teams.

In the stands, only Ms. Huo Qi could be seen saying something to them, and then everyone got on the broomstick.

With a sharp whistle, fourteen broomsticks carried the players into the sky like arrows.

"The game has begun!" shouted Lee Jordan, the Gryffindor commentator: "The Quaffle was immediately snatched by Angelina Johnson of Gryffindor - what an excellent chaser that girl was. Hands, and they look very charming..."

"Jordan!" His focus immediately aroused strong dissatisfaction from Professor McGonagall.

"I'm sorry, professor!" Li Jordan immediately gave up.

Putting aside some of Quidditch's weird rules, the sport is indeed much more enjoyable to watch than football, the first sport in Muggle society.

The high-speed flying broomsticks and the fierce confrontations between wizards and wizards who are not afraid of injuries are hard to see in football matches. After all, Muggles cannot cure injuries with a wave of a magic wand.

However, Andre has always felt that having to arrange a seeker in a game like this is simply a failure. The audience's attention span is limited, and when they focus on the Seeker, it's hard to notice the Quaffle's movements.

As a result, once the game enters the stage of discovering the Golden Snitch, it will be difficult to attract the audience no matter how exciting the chaser's performance is.

Moreover, there is no fixed time set, and the game is completely determined by catching the golden snitch. Such a rule makes wizards who have lived in Muggle society unable to complain.

"Borrow the light, give way, borrow the light." Hagrid's trademark thick voice sounded behind him.

"I have been watching in my hut just now," Hagrid said, holding up a pair of binoculars: "But the atmosphere is different from watching the game in the crowd. I haven't found any trace of the Snitch yet, right?"

"No," said Ron. "Harry doesn't have much to do yet."

But soon, Harry took action and saw the Golden Snitch.

With a fierce dive, Harry accelerated violently chasing the golden stream of light.Slytherin's Seeker Terrence Higgs also saw it, and the two chased the snitch side by side.

Harry was obviously faster, but Slytherin resorted to foul tactics and their captain, Marcus Flint, ran straight into Harry.

This caused the young Gryffindor Seeker to deviate from his track. If he hadn't grabbed the broom tightly, he might have fallen from the sky.

"Foul!" the Gryffindor students shouted angrily.

Ms. Hooch quickly flew forward, scolded Flint for his behavior, and gave Gryffindor a free kick.

The narrator Lee Jordan also issued his own criticism, although he was soon scolded by Professor McGonagall, and he had to keep his mouth shut and continue to maintain his fair and just image.

The game continued, but Andre had noticed that Quirrell in the stands not far away began to chant silently, and Harry's broom was resisting him fiercely.

No one has noticed anything unusual about Harry yet, they just simply don't understand what Harry wants to do.

Until his broom moved further and further away from the playing field, and then began to roll and tumble, like an untamed wild horse.

"It's Quirrell, I saw him chanting a spell." Andre reminded him.

"It's Snape..." But Hermione also spotted the Potions Professor who was reciting a counter-curse.

The two looked at each other, and at this moment, Harry was suddenly thrown off the twisting broom. He could only hang himself on the broom handle with one hand.

Too late, Hermione quickly made her way through the crowd, with Andre close behind.

The goals of the two were not consistent, but Hermione still thought it was Snape who was causing trouble. After all, who would doubt the poor, stammering Professor Quirrell?

But this did not prevent Andre from attacking Quirrell first. He grabbed Hermione, who was still trying to rush forward, and squatted down. The seat design here provided them with a spacious and safe shelter.

Andre didn't know if Voldemort would notice him, but he probably wouldn't dare to stand out in such a highly publicized situation - Dumbledore was sitting in the stands.

So Andre recited a spell on Quirrell's turban. He didn't use transfiguration, that was too obvious.

A strong wind blew, and Dumbledore, who was sitting on the top of the stands, cast his gaze over.It seemed that he could see through the two little wizards behind the seats, but Andre knew nothing about it.

Quirrell hurriedly covered his turban with his hands to prevent him from accidentally revealing the disgusting and terrifying face on the back of his head. In this way, he naturally stopped chanting the curse.

Harry's Nimbus 2000 returned to normal. He didn't know what was going on in the stands, but as long as the broom stopped going crazy, that was enough.

Harry turned over and sat back on the broom, showing his talent as a top seeker. Even though he was highly short-sighted, he still found the Golden Snitch one step ahead of Slytherin.

A beautiful dive, before the crowd and the players on the field realized what was happening.

Harry had already covered his mouth and got off the broom. He lay on all fours on the ground and couldn't help retching, and then a small golden ball appeared in his hand.
