Soaring at Hogwarts

Chapter 2 Welcome to the Leaky Cauldron

Time passed as the family waited anxiously, and August [-] came belatedly.

The family had a hasty breakfast. Mr. and Mrs. Heseltine put on a dress. Samantha put on her favorite pink lady dress. Even Ian was helped by Samantha to put it on. A sapphire blue suit.

"I think this is too tight, Samantha."

"I don't care, today is a big day," Samantha tied a bow under his shirt collar and said angrily, "Put it on properly."

Mrs. Heseltine watched their interaction with a smile: "Very handsome, Ian, you should wear this more often."

"Ian looks good in anything he wears," Mr. Heseltine said proudly, looking at the two children, "just like me."

The four of them sat in the living room. Haydn read the newspaper and glanced at his watch from time to time; Cloris kept adjusting the placement of the teacups and teapots, sometimes making their handles face the same direction, and sometimes making the handles parallel to the edge of the table.

Every once in a while, Samantha would go to the peephole to see if anyone was coming, or adjust her clothes in front of the entrance mirror.

Ian was also a little nervous. He closed his eyes, flipped through his notebook in his mind, and silently recited "Tai Shang Laojun's Sutra of Changing Peace" repeatedly.

Samantha was a little tired from running around. After finally taking a rest on the sofa, there was a knock on the door.

"Tuk, tuk, tuk."

Haydn immediately put down the newspaper.

"I come."

He quickly tidied up his appearance behind the door, and then opened the door: "Hello..."

Um?Haydn looked in front of him in confusion - there was no one there, but the next moment, Professor Flitwick's voice cleared up his confusion.

A high-pitched voice said: "Hello, Mr. Heseltine."

Haydn lowered his head following the voice, and then saw a short old man, and he was startled.

Controlling his expression without being rude, Haydn leaned down slightly, stretched out his hand and said, "You are Professor Filius Flitwick, please come in."

Professor Flitwick was taken to a separate sofa, with Haydn sitting opposite him and Cloris, Samantha and Ian sitting on the couch.

"Nice to meet you, Professor Flitwick," Cloris shook hands with him, "These are my two children, Samantha and Ian."

Samantha and Ian said in unison: "Good morning, Professor Flitwick."

"Hello, Mrs. Heseltine, and good morning, children."

The conversation officially began.

Haydn said: "Professor Flitwick, according to the letter, Samantha 'has magical talent'. We are very curious about this - does magic really exist?"

"Of course," Flitwick laughed, "that's what every Muggle family is curious about - well, Muggle is what we call non-magical people. I think you have noticed that sometimes Samantha Things happen that are difficult to explain, especially when she's emotional."

"Yes," Haydn beamed, "Sammy could 'fly' when he was two years old, and when he was four years old, he could beat a seven-year-old boy all over the floor..."

Cloris coughed twice: "Samantha does know some little tricks, such as making pencils disappear suddenly. And so does our son Ian. He sometimes makes some predictions."

In fact, Samantha did more to make her homework books disappear than she did to make her pencils disappear.

Ian's so-called "prophecy" is just some conclusions based on the memory of past lives and the deduction of the current situation - he previously thought that he had traveled to the past.

"Yes, yes, Ian started saying 'Star Wars' when he saw President Reagan on TV when he was three years old. Later we realized that it meant 'Star Wars Project'," Hayden corrected in time, " We always thought that this was a 'special function'.

Cloris wants them to go to a missionary school, and I am planning to contact the military when they are older.

But I think it would be even better if I could study with a group of equally special children.

Could you please tell me what kind of school Hogwarts is? "

"Hogwarts is a school for children with magical talents.

It was founded around 990 AD by four powerful wizards: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin. It is the best magic school in Europe. "

Flitwick looked at the two children carefully, "Here, we will teach young wizards and witches how to control their powers, learn spells, potions, transfiguration and other knowledge, so that the children can become qualified wizard.

After studying, you don’t have to worry about Samantha’s magic burst hurting yourself. I think Ian’s divination talent can also be developed - I have to say, even among wizards, foreseeing the future is a rare talent."

"Like, using magic like this," Flitwick pulled out his wand and tapped it on the chair.

Sparks flickered out, and the chair suddenly lifted up a lot, allowing him to easily reach the tea cup.

"Very good tea, Mrs. Heseltine."

Samantha was completely mesmerized by this and had stars in her eyes.

Cloris and Haydn were much calmer and looked at each other.

Haydn continued to ask: "Sorry, Professor Flitwick, I would like to take the liberty of asking - has any wizard ever walked on the moon?"

"Planet has important power and symbolic meaning in the wizarding world, and there are many studies on it," Professor Flitwick considered the words. "As far as I know, the Department of Mysteries of the Ministry of Magic has a place dedicated to studying planets, and there are also people Claiming to have reached the moon with a six-star broomstick - of course, I don’t think this is credible.”

"I see," Haydn said calmly, "Then I think Hogwarts won't teach courses about history, biology, geography, mathematics and computers about us, the Muggle world."

Suddenly switching from the magical world to "reality", Samantha's head was spinning.

"Yes," Professor Flitwick nodded, "but correspondingly, we will have History of Magic, Care of Magical Creatures classes and Arithmancy. Muggle electronic products cannot be used at Hogwarts because there are powerful The magical magnetic field.”

"I think I understand." Haydn mused.

"Daddy—" Samantha said coquettishly.

"Baby," Cloris touched Samantha's head, "I think you are not happy that you can't play computer games in the future."

"Oh——" Samantha couldn't help but drawled out in disappointment as she thought of this.

"Clap clap clap."

Haydn clapped his hands and said: "Okay Samantha, I think if you can master your own abilities, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, but we still have to discuss some details."

"Really?!" Samantha said in surprise.

"Of course, but we still have to discuss it some more," Haydn winked at Cloris, "You and your brother go upstairs to play for a while and then come back down later, okay?"

"Okay." Samantha jumped off the sofa, pulled Ian up and walked upstairs.

"Ian, make a prediction and see if I can go to magic school." In the room, Samantha paced anxiously.

Ian recalled the scene just now: "Yes, don't worry."

"Oh!" Samantha cheered and spun around in a circle.

"But I don't think your parents will let you give up our Muggle classes." Ian thought for a while and said, "Maybe they are just discussing how to arrange your classes."

"Oh-oh?" Samantha's cheers froze.

Samantha struggled in the room for a while, waiting for the final result.

"Samantha! Ian!"

"Here we come!" Samantha ran out of the room.

"Put on some clothes that are convenient for traveling. Let's go to London and buy you the things you need for school!"

"it is good!"

Overall, Samantha was happy.

Ian was also a little excited. While untying the bow, he thought about the future: "To buy something... I'm going to the Leaky Cauldron."
