Soaring at Hogwarts
Chapter 27 Passing by Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest
Ian carefully recalled every time he dealt with Quirrell, and he felt that he had not revealed any flaws.
He answered the questions politely as usual, and laughed like everyone else when Quirrell made a fool of himself.
There is no deliberate closeness or deliberate alienation.
But Quirrell was different. He answered questions a little more than the average person - even though he was not particularly active, he got almost as many points as Hermione in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
Ian thought about it, it seemed that Quirrell had a preference for him.
This preference does not go beyond the scope of normal teacher care for students, just like Professor Flitwick, Professor Sprout, and Professor McGonagall, it looks like a teacher admiring a smart and obedient student.
So much so that Ian unconsciously ignored Quirrell's care.
But what if Quirrell did it on purpose?
"Thank you, Mr. Vroom."
Ian handed over two Sickles and took a large bag of marzipan and a small bag of cockroach skewers from Ambrosio Froome.
Honeydukes Candy House has a variety of candies, such as Bubble Super Bubble Gum (which fills a room with bluebell-colored bubbles that won't pop for days) and Pepper Punch ("breathes fire for your friends!") , ice mice (“hear your teeth squeaking!”), and toad-shaped mint ice cream (“literally jumps in your stomach!”) These are all magical candies.
Ian hopes he can taste them all in the future.
After buying some sweets, Ian wandered around Hogsmeade all afternoon.
From Honeydukes to Dewes-Bane's shop at the end of Hogsmeade, from Mrs. Puddy's teahouse on the corner to the Shrieking Shack on the outskirts of the village.
Hogsmeade is not big and reminds Ian of some small towns in his previous life.
There is a main street with several rows of houses extending out. There are one or two large supermarkets and one or two small restaurants on the street.
They are planted on plains, beside streams, and beside national highways. They are not big, but they can welcome villagers from all over the country, and they are also lively during holidays and fairs.
Unconsciously, I reached the edge of Hogsmeade.Ian thought for a while and did not go back to Duke Bee. Instead, he went to the station and followed the path he took when he started school, planning to pass through the Forbidden Forest.
This road is much farther, and monsters can be seen from time to time along the way.
Fortunately, Ian has accompanied Hagrid on several patrols of the Forbidden Forest, and he has somewhat mastered the rules of survival in the Forbidden Forest and the techniques for dealing with them.
Click and click.
The dark, hairy eight-eyed spider - really big, almost the same as those unicorns - clicked and swung its big claws, and its eight single eyes reflected the shimmer in the dark like black crystals.
"Burning flames."
Ian pointed at the dead branches and leaves in front of it and recited a spell.
There was a flash of fire, and the rising flames were blocked in the middle.
The eight-eyed spider flinched.
Ian breathed a sigh of relief.
"Clear water is like a spring."
After carefully extinguishing the last wisp of smoke, Ian heard another rapid clicking sound.
Turning around with his wand, Ian saw the person coming from behind the bushes - a centaur with a reddish-brown body and long black hair messily thrown behind his head. The upper body also carries a quiver and long bow.
The centaur looked at the ashes on the ground and asked, "Is it cleaned up, kit?"
"I checked it, and there are no sparks at all."
"Go back to the castle quickly. The Forbidden Forest is not a place for cubs like you."
Ian nodded obediently: "I'm about to go back. Who are you?"
"Margery, as you can see, a centaur."
"Hello, Margery, I'm Ian Heseltine."
Margery walked beside Ian and led him towards the castle. With the company of the indigenous people, the journey was much smoother.
"I heard Ronan say that you are Hagrid's new assistant?"
"Yes."
"Yes, you should learn how to understand nature. This is something that cannot be taught in the castle."
Ian was smart enough not to mention that Hogwarts had Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures classes, and that was obviously not what Margaret was talking about.
It seemed a bit boring to walk like this, so Margery looked at the sky.
"Mars is not that bright tonight."
"Looks like it," Ian said, trying to follow the Centaur's train of thought. "What constellation does it fall in?"
"Libra."
Margery glanced down at him.
"Well, I guess this isn't Mars at its strongest - I mean, Libra doesn't sound like a fire sign."
The centaur said nothing.
The atmosphere fell silent again.
In the oppressive silence, Ian heard a dense rustling sound.
"Didi!" Ian shouted happily.
The little unicorn snorted, ran to Ian's side, put his head into his arms, and stared at the buttery almond candy with his big beady eyes.
"Little glutton." Ian Hu touched the little unicorn and gave it a piece.
Didi ate the marzipan in two bites and refused to leave. She licked Ian's fingers over and over again - they were covered in cream just now.
"No, don't lick it," Ian had no choice but to take another piece, "I'll give you another piece, just one piece, and leave it for others."
At this time, a smaller unicorn also came over.Ian remembered that Samantha seemed to call it Fluffy.
Maomao looked at Ian pleadingly, and her meaning was clear.
"Um, you want it too? Okay, just one piece."
When Ian came to his senses, he was already surrounded by a group of little unicorns, followed by their adults.I can't help but feel a little funny and proud. It seems that these little guys are not difficult to deal with.
Ian gave them sweets, one for each. The little unicorns still lingered after eating, each one looking at the bag.
"Not much, I don't have much anymore." Looking at the remaining amount, Ian covered the bag and bent down to cover it.
When they were not so tight around me, I stood up, looked at the candy, shook my head and said, "It's not much, or do you want to eat this?"
Ian asked as he pulled out a cockroach skewer.
All the foals shook their heads, snorted, and reluctantly dispersed.
Didi, on the other hand, stayed with Ian.
After struggling all the way, Ian finally saw the lights of the castle.
Margery stopped in the Forbidden Forest and nodded to Ian: "Goodbye, human cub."
"Thank you, Margery." Ian bowed to him, "And, my name is Ian."
Margery seemed to smile and left.
"Well, goodbye, Dee Dee."
By the time Ian got into the Gryffindor common room, Samantha had finished all her homework and was chatting with Arya, her friend.
"Hey, Samantha, do you have an astrology book?" Ian asked, handing over the few candies.
"How is that possible?" Samantha took the marzipan and divided two pieces out. "Aliya, do you have any?"
"Of course," Aaliya happily took the marzipan, "I'll go up and get it."
The Weasley twins saw Ian and came over to say hello.
Fred said happily: "Ha, I just said why there is a sweet smell, it turns out to be our Mr. Moses!"
"O giver of butter and honey, please give gifts to your followers." George looked pious, "We will keep the secret of leaving the Forbidden Forest for him, and we will not be a traitorous Judas."
"Huh? Can Judas be related to Moses?" Ian handed over the cockroach skewer, "This is the only one."
Samantha burst out laughing.
"It's really yours! Ian! Go buy cockroach skewers!" George looked horrified. "Are you going to punish some traitor with evil intentions?"
"Oh, you're right." Ian looked at George and felt that he also had a talent for being a prophet. "It's for Professor Quirrell."
He answered the questions politely as usual, and laughed like everyone else when Quirrell made a fool of himself.
There is no deliberate closeness or deliberate alienation.
