Hogwarts Rebel

Chapter 15 Test after class

After class, Mo Lan did not leave the Potions classroom like other little wizards.

Now, the formula for the wolfsbane potion has been obtained, but Mo Lan is still unable to refine it at his current level.

Even the wolfsbane potion invented by Damocles was an extremely complex potion.

It's not something he can master behind closed doors.

The recipe of the potion is key, but never the most important. For example, there are many potion recipes that can be found in the collection of books in the Hogwarts library.

The knowledge taught in the classroom cannot be said to be useless, but...

If Mo Lan continues to study at the teaching pace of a first-year wizard, the improvement in Mo Lan's potion refining level in the near future will be completely negligible.

But compared to Cynthia, who was the same age as him and could refine wolfsbane potion on her own, Mo Lan was far inferior.

Not to mention anything else, at least in terms of potion refining, there was a big gap between him and Cynthia.

You must know that refining potions is no child's play. Only carefully crafted potions can have appropriate effects.

If it is made incorrectly or if an unclean crucible is used, the brewed potion will turn into poison.

Among them, it is difficult to master the time control, aging, mixing methods and bottling in the potion making process without the guidance of experienced teachers.

This is also the purpose of Mo Lan's stay.

Seeing Snape preparing to leave, Mo Lan quickly caught up with him.

"Professor Snape, it's like this. I have some problems about potions that I don't quite understand yet, so I don't know if I can..."

No matter what Snape's character was, his conscientiousness in teaching was part of the reason why Mo Lan chose to stay.

Moreover, I am a student of Slytherin, and my dean still has a preference for his own school.

Furthermore, Snape, as a master of potions, was able to brew extremely complex potions such as Veritaserum and Wolfsbane Potion, and his guidance was unavailable elsewhere.

There are not many such opportunities.

"Come with me." Professor Snape looked at Molan for a while, said coldly, and left without looking back.

Meran followed Snape.

The two of them were silent the whole way. Professor Snape's office was adjacent to the Potions classroom.

Mo Lan followed Professor Snape to his office. The atmosphere inside was almost the same as that of a Potions classroom.

The walls were dark, and there were many large glass jars on the shelves along the walls.

Professor Snape walked into his office and sat on a chair inside.

Looking at Mo Lan, he slowly said:

"You did well in Potions class today. Let's talk about it. Regarding the difficult problem you mentioned, I can consider helping you."

"Professor Snape, I want to learn more advanced potion refining techniques." Mo Lan said his thoughts seriously.

Snape said angrily: "Oh, the first-year wizard said he wanted to learn more advanced potion refining. Did I hear it wrong? Who did you learn this arrogance from, Mo Lan!"

Mo Lan didn't wait for a reply.

Snape spoke again: "Tell me why you want to learn these and prove to me that you have the ability to learn them. Perhaps, I will teach you."

"If you are just some smart fool, then get out of here right now."

Mo Lan didn't hide anything and gave his own answer.

"Professor Snape, to increase reputation, brew glory, and even prevent death, these are my original intention of learning to make potions."

Moran responded with what Snape said in class.

Professor Snape used Legilimency, and the boy in front of him did not lie.

Mo Lan did not use Occlumency.

Professor Snape said nothing, waved the wand in his hand, and some of the herbs in the storage cabinet appeared next to the equipment for refining the potion.

Mo Lan watched all this happen quietly.

Professor Snape said sternly: "If you can't even make a potion using these herbs..."

"Swelling potion." Mo Lan spoke softly.

"What?" Professor Snape didn't hear what Mo Lan said clearly and saw him walking towards the table where the equipment was placed.

Mo Lan walked to the table where herbs and equipment were placed and said, "Dried nettles, puffer fish eyes, bat spleen... are herbs used to refine swelling potion."

Mo Lan recognized these herbs when they first appeared.

Snape said calmly: "I hope your refining skills can be as good as your theoretical knowledge."

The Swelling Potion is a potion that second-year students need to learn. However, in terms of difficulty, it is only for beginners. Professor Snape is merciless in his words and very honest in his body.

About half an hour later, the crucible in Professor Snape's office was much more efficient at refining potions than ordinary ones, and the refining of the swelling potion did not trouble Mo Lan.

Molan handed the refined potion to Professor Snape, but the latter did not take it.

Professor Snape said softly: "I saw the entire process of refining the potion just now. Compared to your skills in refining the potion, I trust my eyes more."

"You barely passed. You can come to me after Potions get out of class. Remember, come in the afternoon."

Mo Lan looked at Professor Snape with doubtful eyes.

"You don't want to have lunch, so don't drag me with you," Professor Snape said coldly.

Melan was stunned. No wonder Draco and the others had such strange expressions when they said they planned to ask Professor Snape for advice on potions.

"I forgot my lunch and let Professor Snape watch me refining the potion. It's over." Mo Lan thought to herself.

"Come on, those house elves will make you something to eat."

"Oh, okay, why don't you come with Professor Snape?" Mo Lan just walked to the door and found Snape still sitting on the chair.

"I'm not hungry." Professor Snape said, then picked up a book and read it, ignoring Mo Lan's plan.

"That's it." Mo Lan walked out of Professor Snape's office.

It was already late to go to the Great Hall for lunch at this time. Mo Lan came to the kitchen and asked the house elf to prepare some food for him.

Mo Lan dealt with it a few times, then asked the house elf to pack him another piece of food before leaving the kitchen.

Mo Lan returned to Professor Snape's office and found that no one was in the office.

After thinking about it, if Professor Snape was there, he wouldn't be able to eat well if he was next to him, so he put the food on the chair and left.

Since the matter of asking for advice on potions has passed Professor Snape's test, there is no rush.

Two or three hours passed.

When Professor Snape walked out of the storage room in his office, he saw the box on the chair and was a little confused.

He stepped forward and opened the box, and was stunned when he saw the food inside.

Because, after a long time, the food was a little cold, so Professor Snape put the potion he had just made aside, picked up the food in the box and ate it.
