Hogwarts Mystery Sequence

Chapter 77 Foreshadowing

A few minutes later, the Minister of Magic's office opened and closed.

Avery, who came out, paused for a moment, looked back at the closed door behind him with a gloomy face, gritted his teeth and snorted coldly, and then threw away his sleeves heavily.

The few remaining pure-blood family wizards looked at each other, and then hurriedly followed.

Not long after they left, a man with a limp and a cane strode outside the minister's office.

The man raised his hand and knocked on the door. When he heard the voice of "Please come in" from inside, he pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose, opened the door and walked in.

"Minister Shacklebolt, what do you want from me?" After closing the door behind him, he turned to Kingsley behind the desk and asked.

"Rufus, send a few more Aurors to follow Avery and the others, but be careful." Kingsley said directly without any intention of being polite to Rufus.

Rufus was stunned for a moment after hearing this:

"Avery? What's their problem?"

"A few of them just came to apply for reinforcements, hoping that we would send a few Aurors to help track down the culprit who stole their library, but I rejected it," Kingsley explained.

"Their library was stolen?" Rufus frowned and asked in surprise.

After all, although the protection of the pure-blood family residence is not as good as that of the Ministry of Magic, it is not something that cats and dogs can break through.

Not to mention sneaking in quietly and stealing.

At least as Rufus could think of, there were only two wizards with this ability in the entire British magical world.

One is Dumbledore and the other is "You-Know-Who".

The latter's action of killing Fudge has proved this, and the former, as a wizard who is as powerful as the latter in the eyes of the public, or even slightly superior to the latter, can achieve this level without a doubt.

The only difference between the two is that the latter is unscrupulous, while the former has always shown a decent and noble image on the surface.

As for whether that was Dumbledore's way of winning people's hearts, that's a matter of opinion.

Rufus had doubts about Dumbledore anyway.

"Guys like them who attach great importance to decency will not lie about such things." Kingsley replied in a deep voice while Rufus was thinking.

"On the contrary, if they really lied, it must be related to the 'Mysterious Man'." Kingsley paused and added.

Rufus nodded thoughtfully:

"So, you hope to use the trick and follow the clues to find the traces of the 'mysterious man'?"

Then, he seemed to have remembered something and said:

"So is it possible that someone else is fishing in troubled waters?"

"I don't rule out this possibility." Kingsley nodded, "But to be honest, I can't think of anyone who can do this."

Rufus hesitated for a moment and said tentatively:

"Could it be..."

"Rufus!" Kingsley suddenly interrupted, "Dumbledore wouldn't do such a thing!"

"But you only know him, but you don't know what is going on in his mind." Rufus said still unwillingly.

Kingsley's eyes suddenly turned dark when he looked at Rufus:

"If a person has done good things throughout his life, he is a good person regardless of whether he has evil thoughts or not."

"But what if those things are just what he wants us to see?" Rufus's yellow eyes flashed sharply behind his glasses, "We have no way of knowing what he did behind the scenes."

"Evidence, Rufus." Kingsley looked at Rufus, who looked like an old lion, and looked at him calmly, "Subjective assumptions can never be used as evidence in court."

Rufus was speechless and fell silent.

Gu Ming</span>Seeing him like this, Kingsley reminded him:

"Rufus, our top priority is to find 'You-Know-Who', not to discuss whether Dumbledore is a saint or a villain."

Rufus took a deep breath, exhaled it slowly, then nodded and said:

"I understand."

After speaking, he turned and prepared to leave.

But when he reached out to open the door, he seemed to think of something again, so he turned around and asked:

"What if this has nothing to do with 'Mysterious Man'?"

Kingsley waved his hand after hearing this:

"I'm not asking you to investigate."

"Even if there is no trace of 'Mysterious Man' in this matter, Avery and the others will definitely be dissatisfied after I embarrass them, and then they may secretly contact 'Mysterious Man'."

"That's why I asked you to follow them."

"Then, conversely, what if this matter is led by the 'Mysterious Man', and his purpose is to divert the tiger away from the mountain in order to take the opportunity to attack the Ministry of Magic?" Rufus thought for a while and continued to ask.

"In that case I think I would be happy," Kingsley smiled, "because Dumbledore is at the Ministry of Magic now."

Seeing Kingsley's confident look, Rufus was still a little hesitant.

Kingsley couldn't help but sigh when he saw this and said:

"Okay, don't continue to dwell on this issue, Rufus, otherwise we won't be able to accomplish anything. Let's hurry up and get going."

Rufus paused, then nodded wordlessly, opened the door and walked out.

When he saw the door closed again and he was the only one left in the office, Kingsley couldn't help but sigh.

He felt that he had sighed more while sitting in this seat for more than a month than he had in the previous decades.

Moreover, it is foreseeable that this situation may become the norm for a long time in the future... Kingsley shook his head and turned his attention to the files on the desktop.

noon.

Hogwarts Castle Great Hall, Gryffindor Table.

"Harry, are you okay?" Hermione asked worriedly.

But Harry didn't seem to hear him and remained in a daze.

"Hey, mate!" Ron patted Harry's shoulder carelessly.

The next second, Harry seemed to be frightened, his whole body trembled, and he turned to look at Ron in horror.

"What's wrong with you?" Ron retracted his hand subconsciously, as if he was frightened by Harry.

Harry's eyes flickered and he shook his head tremblingly.

"Your lying skills are far worse than your Quidditch skills." Ron spread his hands.

"Ron." Hermione frowned dissatisfied.

"Well, what I mean is, Harry, you don't look like you have nothing to do. You have been absent-minded since you got up in the morning. You can even ignore that annoying guy Malfoy." Ron shrugged and explained, "Of course, that's what we should do with him, but we can't do it every time because he's so annoying, isn't he?"
