Chapter 28 Snape’s Seasoning

School has just started, there is no pressure from exams, and the little wizards have all stayed at home for the summer. The weekends spent at school have become a good opportunity for them to release their natural instincts.

Compared with the innocuous pranks of the younger students, the tricks played by the upperclassmen are more difficult.

After leaving the principal's office, Regulus went straight to the school hospital, preparing to ask Madam Pomfrey for some blood replenishing potions. As soon as he entered the door, he saw two familiar faces.

Barnaby Lee was mummified, leaving only his head exposed, while Charlie Weasley was slightly better off, with one arm and half of his leg unbandaged, and his head wrapped several times.

When Regulus came in, the two of them were lying on their own beds, still arguing through the partition.

"Merlin's cavities. We haven't seen each other for a day. How did you end up like this? Was it a duel?" Regulus' curiosity was aroused. It turned out that he was not the only one who had a bloody battle last night.

"You think too highly of them. How could you be injured like this when you fight each other with their poor magic power?"

Snape walked in quietly at some point.

Professor McGonagall was followed behind her, with a mixture of worry and anger on her face, which made her look a little awkward.

"Hello, Professor Reinhardt." Professor McGonagall greeted Regulus, then turned to Barnaby Lee and Charlie and solemnly announced, "For violating school rules and entering the Forbidden Forest, each of you will be punished. Fifty points will be deducted and another month of confinement will be imposed.”

Like defeated cocks, Lee and Charlie accepted their punishment with their heads down.

But Snape was obviously dissatisfied and immediately objected: "I think they should be taught a lesson they will never forget. Painless deductions and confinement are completely ineffective. I suggest they be expelled from school." .”

"They were so seriously injured, this lesson is serious enough!" Professor McGonagall turned to Snape and raised her voice.

"They should be lucky that a more tragic result did not occur." Snape said gloomily. "Maybe they think they will succeed if they try it again and are more prepared?"

Professor McGonagall wanted to say something else, but was interrupted by Regulus.

"Can anyone tell me what exactly happened?"

"You should know that last night was a full moon night." Snape spoke softly.

For a moment, Regulus suspected that Snape was alluding to something, but Snape quickly spoke again: "These two muscle-brained idiots sneaked out of the dormitory and went to the Forbidden Forest last night in an attempt to challenge Werewolf.”

"Aha?" Regulus glanced at the two of them with complicated eyes. Their heads were lowered, almost buried in their chests.

"I don't know if they thought they learned some tricks to deal with werewolves in class." Snape stared at Regulus and said coldly, "Or did they get any hints or encouragement?"

"Were they attacked by werewolves?" Regulus ignored the gun and stick in Snape's words. He had just fought a bloody battle with an adult werewolf and had a deep understanding of the terror of werewolves.

"What they encountered was not a werewolf, but a three-headed dog... I couldn't imagine that there would be such a terrifying thing in the Forbidden Forest. Even dealing with a three-headed dog would take me some time." Professor McGonagall said in time. The ground took over.

"Well, I really don't know whether to say you are lucky or unlucky." Regulus looked at Li and Charlie with pity.

Lee muttered some unintelligible syllables, and Charlie blushed.

A creature like a three-headed dog has a huge size and terrifying power, and most spells have no effect on it.And it has always had a fierce attitude towards people who invade its territory.

At the level of two seventh-grade students, fighting a three-headed dog head-on, the odds of winning were infinitely close to zero.

"It is Merlin's blessing that you are lying here intact," Regulus added.

"Thankfully, Hagrid arrived in time and rescued these two children. He always has some special ways of dealing with these creatures." Professor McGonagall said with gratitude.

"I think that beast was probably raised by Hagrid," Snape said angrily.

At this moment, Madam Pomfrey came in with a tray and placed two cups of potion on the bedside of Lee and Charlie.

The expressions of the two became even more ugly.

"Professor Reinhardt, this is the blood replenishing potion you want." Madam Pomfrey handed the remaining bottles of potion to Regulus.

"Thank you very much." Regulus opened one of the bottles and drank it dry.

The expressions of the other five people present suddenly changed. Even Professor McGonagall blinked, as if expecting something to happen.

When the potion entered the mouth, Regulus's expression became very wonderful, his facial muscles were constantly distorted, and his eyes were opened and closed tightly.

In the end, he couldn't hold it back and sprayed the potion all over the floor.

He instantly understood why Lupine was eager to add sugar to the Wolfsbane potion.

This bottle of blood tonic is pungent and bitter, mixed with a rancid smell.

Regulus felt that even Voldemort's Potion of Despair tasted much stronger than this.

"The potion I drank last night didn't taste like this." Regulus coughed a few times and looked at Madam Pomfrey in confusion.

Snape on the side curled his thin lips and sneered.

"Oh, this is Severus's suggestion. He thinks that adding some flavor to the potion can help students understand the horror of injury and learn to protect themselves. I'm sorry." There was no hint of it from Madam Pomfrey's face. Sorry, she obviously thinks this approach makes sense.

"This is a really good idea!" Regulus said through gritted teeth as he stared at Snape.

"If you need, I can make a few without any additives," Madam Pomfrey said.

"No need to bother." Regulus said with a straight face, opened another bottle of potion, held his nose and drank it in one gulp.

Although the ingredients were added, the efficacy of the medicine was not affected, and his face soon gained a little more color.

"I'm curious, what condiments did Professor Snape add to it?" Regulus asked after he recovered.

"Some non-toxic and harmless spices, such as Gordigan and Devil's Pepper... Oh, and by the way, there are also washed Black Lake mud." Snape said gloatingly, the expression on his face made Regulus... I had the urge to give him a hard blow with the dagger Bella gave me.

"Poppy, I think it's better not to add Black Lake sludge to the formula in the future." Professor McGonagall said fairly, "Let's get back to the topic. What do Professor Reinhardt think about the punishment of Mr. Li and Mr. Weasley? "

"I think Professor McGonagall's treatment is very appropriate. Each person will be deducted fifty points, plus one month of confinement." Regulus quickly stated his position and added, "Can you leave their confinement to me? arrange?"

"Of course, I think Professor Snape has no problem with it, right Severus?" Professor McGonagall nodded slyly.

"That's it." Snape squeezed out a few words through his teeth, turned around and drifted away.
