At that time, Prince Manjusri Dharma, in recognition of the Buddha's majesty, stood up from his seat, with one shoulder exposed, his right knee on the ground, and he bowed and joined his palms to Bhagavan.Bai Yan: World Honored One.I only wish to expound the names of the Buddhas in this way, and the great merits of this great vow, so that all who hear it will have their karmic obstacles eliminated, and all sentient beings will be able to achieve the desired benefit and happiness as the Dharma turns around.

At that time, the World-Honored One praised Manjushri boy and said: How good!How good!Manjushri, with great compassion, you urge me to recite the names of the Buddhas and the merits and virtues of the original vows, so as to remove all sentient beings entangled in karma and obstacles, and to benefit all sentient beings when the Dharma turns around.You listen carefully now and think deeply, and I will explain it to you.

Manjusri said: Weiran, I would like to say it, we will be happy to hear it.

The Buddha told Manjushri: Go to the east and pass through the Buddha land of ten sagashas. There is a world named Pure Lazuli. The Buddha is called Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata. Control your husband, gods, gods, Buddha, and Bhagavan.

Manjusri!When the World-Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata was walking on the path of Bodhisattva, he made twelve great vows to make all sentient beings obtain whatever they desire.

The first great wish: I hope that when I achieve Anuttarasamyaksambodhi in the next life, my own light will be blazing and illuminate the countless boundless worlds.With 32 great human appearances and eighty-year-old body shape, he decorates his body so that all sentient beings will be no different from me.

The second greatest wish: I wish that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, my body will be like glass, clear inside and outside, pure and flawless, bright and vast, with towering merits, my body will be good and peaceful, and the flame net will be more majestic than the sun and the moon; all living beings in the dark world will be enlightened; Do whatever you like and do whatever you want.

The third great wish: May I achieve Bodhi in the next life.With the immeasurable and boundless wisdom and expedients, all sentient beings can obtain endless things of use, and do not let any sentient beings have any shortage.

The fourth great wish: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, all sentient beings who practice evil ways will be allowed to abide in the path of Bodhi; and those who practice the Sravaka and Solitary Enlightenment Vehicles will all be established in the Mahayana.

The fifth great wish: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, if there are countless sentient beings who practice the holy life in my Dharma, they will not lack the precepts and have the three sets of precepts; if there are any offenders who hear my name, Still have to be pure and not fall into the lower realms.

The sixth great wish: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, there will be sentient beings whose bodies are inferior, whose roots are not there, who are ugly and stupid, blind, deaf, mute, crippled, leprosy, crazy, and suffering from all kinds of diseases. When they hear my name, Everything is achieved, upright and shrewd, all faculties are fully developed, and there is no suffering.

The Seventh Great Vow: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, all sentient beings will be suffering from many illnesses, with no help and no return, no medical treatment, no medicine, no relatives and no home.Poverty is a lot of suffering; once my name is heard in one's ears, all diseases will be cured, body and mind will be happy, family members and property will be abundant, and even supreme Bodhi will be attained.

The eighth great wish: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, if there is a woman who is driven away by the evils of women and is extremely disgusted with her, she is willing to give up her female body. If she hears my name, everything will turn into a man and have a husband. phase, and even achieve supreme Bodhi.

Ninth Great Vow: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, I can help all sentient beings escape from the demonic net and be liberated from all the entanglements of heretics. If they fall into the thick forest of evil views, I will lead them to the correct view and gradually let them practice. All Bodhisattvas, by their actions, will quickly realize the supreme and perfect enlightenment.

The tenth great wish: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, all sentient beings will be recorded by the King's Dharma.Bound with ropes, whipped, imprisoned, or killed, there will be countless disasters and humiliations, sorrows and sorrows, physical and mental suffering; if you hear my name and use my merit and divine power, you will be liberated from all sorrows and sufferings.

No. 11 Great Vow: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, if any sentient being is troubled by hunger and thirst and commits bad deeds in seeking food, and hears my name, and is dedicated to upholding it, I will first provide them with the wonderful food and drink to satisfy them. His body is then built with the flavor of Dharma and ultimately peace and happiness.

No. 12 Great Vow: I hope that when I achieve Bodhi in the next life, all sentient beings will be poor and have no clothes, and will be harassed by mosquitoes and flies day and night. He also obtained all the jewels and ornaments, the flower garlands, the incense, the drums and the instruments, and he was able to play as he pleased, and all were satisfied.

Manjushri, these are the twelve subtle vows made by the World-Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata when he was fully enlightened and walking on the path of Bodhisattva.

Again, Manjusri, the great vows made by the World-Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata when he was practicing the Bodhisattva path, and the majestic merits and virtues of that Buddhaland, I cannot say, even in one kalpa or more than one kalpa, to complete them.However, that Buddha land has always been pure, with no women, no evil realms, and no sounds of bitterness. The ground is made of lapis lazuli, the roads are bounded by golden ropes, the city gates, palaces, windows, and nets are all made of the seven treasures. It is also like the Western Paradise. Merit, solemnity, etc. are indistinguishable.In his country, there are two Bodhisattva Mahasattvas: one is named Sunlight All-Reaching, and the other is Moonlight All-Reaching. They are the leaders of the countless Bodhisattvas who fill the Buddha's place. .Therefore, Manjushri, all good men and women with faith should wish to be born in that Buddha world.

At that time, the World-Honored One told Manjushri boy again: Manjushri, there are sentient beings who do not know good and evil, but are only greedy and stingy. They do not know about giving and the consequences of giving. They are ignorant and ignorant, lacking in the root of faith.Gather more treasures and guard them diligently.When he sees a beggar coming, his heart is not happy.Suppose you don't get it, but when you give it, it's like cutting off your body, and you will feel deeply regretful.There are countless greedy sentient beings who accumulate wealth but have no use for it themselves, let alone those who can work with their parents, wives, slaves, servants, or beggars.Those sentient beings will end their lives from now on and be reborn in the world of hungry ghosts or in the realm of rebirth.In the human world in the past, I was able to hear the name of Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata for a while. Now in the bad realm, I can temporarily recall the name of that Tathagata. When I remembered it, I disappeared from there and was reborn among humans. I got the thought of fate and feared the bad realm. Suffering, not enjoying pleasure, loving to do good deeds, praising those who give, having no greed for anything, gradually being able to give to those who ask for it with their heads, limbs, flesh and blood, and status, not to mention the remaining wealth.

Again, Manjusri, if there are sentient beings who have received various trainings from the Tathagata, they will destroy the body.Although it does not break Sheila, it breaks the rules.According to the laws of Shela, although the gains are not bad, they will destroy the right view.Although there are people who do not destroy the right view, but abandon the many learnings, they cannot understand the profound meaning of the Sutras spoken by the Buddha.Although there are people who have heard a lot, their conceit has increased; because of their conceit, they have clouded their minds, and they are self-righteous and not others. They dislike the righteous Dharma and are companions of the devil.Such fools, with their own wrong views, will cause countless sentient beings to fall into great danger.These sentient beings should circulate endlessly in hells, rebirths, and ghost realms.If you hear the name of Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata, you will give up your evil deeds, practice good deeds, and avoid falling into the evil realm.If there is a person who is unable to abandon evil deeds and practice good Dharma and falls into the evil realm, with the power of the Tathagata's original vows, he will appear before him and be named temporarily. From the end of his life, he will be reborn in the realm of human beings, gain correct views, advance diligently, and be good at regulating his mind. If you are happy, you will be able to give up your home and enjoy yourself in non-homes. You will be in the Tathagata's Dharma, accept and uphold the place of learning, do no harm, have correct views and hear many things, understand the profound meanings, avoid increasing conceit, do not slander the true Dharma, and will not be the companion of demons. Gradually practice the Bodhisattva practices and quickly achieve perfection.

Again, Manjusri, if there are sentient beings who are greedy, jealous, and praise themselves and destroy others, they will fall into the three lower realms and endure severe suffering for countless thousand years.Having suffered greatly, he will die from that life and be reborn in the human world as an ox, horse, camel, and donkey, constantly being whipped, hungry and thirsty, and often carrying heavy loads, walking along the road.Or you may be a human being, living in a humble life, working as a slave of others, being driven and servile by others, and you will never feel at ease.If anyone in the past has heard the name of the World-Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata, due to this good cause, he now remembers it again, takes refuge with the sincerity, and uses the power of the Buddha to free himself from all suffering; his faculties are sharp, he has wisdom and he is knowledgeable, and he always seeks the winning method. .If you often meet good friends, you will always be able to sever the devil's trap, break the shell of ignorance, drain the river of troubles, and be freed from all the sorrows and worries of birth, old age, illness, and death.

Again, Manjusri, if there are sentient beings who like to be estranged, they will fight and sue each other, annoy themselves and others, create and increase all kinds of bad karma with body, speech and mind, and they will always do things that are not beneficial and harm each other.Call upon the gods of mountains, forests, and graves to kill all sentient beings.They took their flesh and blood and offered sacrifices to Yasha, Rakshasa, etc.; they wrote the names of the people they complained about, made their images, and used evil spells to curse them.The evil spirit Gu curses the dead ghosts, destroying their lives and destroying their bodies.If these sentient beings hear the name of Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata, no evil will be done to them.Everything is done with compassion, benefiting peace and happiness, without harming annoyance or resentment.Everyone should be happy, be content with what they receive, and be contented with each other. They should not infringe on each other, but benefit each other.

Again, Manjusri, if there are four groups, Bichu, Bichuni, Upasokya, Upasokya, Yu Jing, good men and women of faith, etc.Those who are able to uphold the eight-point fast, either for one year or three months, receive and uphold the place of study. With this good root, they wish to be born in the Western Paradise, where the Buddha Infinite Life lives, and hear the true Dharma. In the name of Light Tathagata, there are eight great Bodhisattvas at the end of his life, and their names are: Manjushri Bodhisattva, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, Infinite Intent Bodhisattva, Jewel Sandalwood Bodhisattva, Medicine King Bodhisattva, Medicine Supreme Bodhisattva, and Maitreya Bodhisattva.These eight great Bodhisattvas came in the air to show their way, and in that realm, all kinds of colors and treasures appeared naturally.Perhaps because of this, even though one is born in heaven, his original good roots are not exhausted and he will never be reborn in the remaining evil realms.When his life span in heaven is over, he will be reborn in the human world, perhaps as a wheel king, commanding the four continents, with great majesty and virtue, and establishing countless hundreds of thousands of sentient beings in the ten good ways.Or give birth to Kshatriyas, Brahmins, and lay people.Plenty of treasures, overflowing storehouses, upright appearance, well-equipped family members, smart and wise, brave and mighty, like a strong man.If a woman hears the name of the World Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata and upholds it with her whole heart, she will never take a female body again.

Again, Manjusri, when the Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata attained Bodhi, through the power of his original vows, he observed that sentient beings encountered various illnesses and sufferings, such as thinness, spasm, dryness, yellow fever, etc.; or were possessed by evil spirits or poisons; or His life will be short again, or he may die unexpectedly; I hope that his illness and suffering will be eliminated, and all his wishes will be fulfilled.At that time, the World-Honored One entered Samadhi, which is called the eradication of the sufferings of all sentient beings.After he had entered samadhi, a great light came out from his bun of flesh, and in the light he spoke to the great Dharani: Emperor Namo Bogava, who killed She Julu, Xie Liuli, and Bala Po, drink up. (la) Jha (she) Ye, Tuo (tuo) Jedoye, Aloha Emperor, Sanliu Sanboduoye.Ta's nephew, Om, he killed him, he killed him, he killed the society, he failed to reveal the emperor, Shahe.

At that time, the mantra was spoken in the light, and the earth shook, magnifying the light, and all sentient beings were relieved of their illnesses and sufferings, and received peace and happiness.

Manjushri, if you see a man or woman who is suffering from illness, you should be single-minded and take a clean bath for that patient, take food, medicine, or insect-free water, mantra one hundred and eight times, and take it with him. All are destroyed.If you ask for something and recite it sincerely, you will achieve this, and you will be free from illness and prolong your life. After your life is over, you will be reborn in that world, and you will not be able to turn back, and even reach enlightenment.That’s why Manjusri!If there are any men or women who have a sincere heart, respect and make offerings to the Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata, they should always uphold this mantra.Don’t let it be forgotten!

Again, Manjusri, if there is a man or woman with pure faith who hears all the names of the Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata, he should recite and uphold them, chew wood in the morning, bathe and rinse, and burn incense and apply incense. , perform music and music, and support the image.Whether you are writing this scripture yourself or teaching others to write it, you should accept it wholeheartedly and listen to its meaning.To that Dharma master, one should cultivate and make offerings, and give all the possessions and possessions to him, so as not to leave him destitute.In this way, the Buddhas will protect you, your wishes will be fulfilled, and you will achieve enlightenment.

At that time, the boy Manjushri said to the Buddha: World Honored One!I swear that when the image of the Dharma is transformed, I will use all kinds of expedients to enable all good men and women with pure faith to hear the name of the Buddha, Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata, and even in their sleep, their ears will be enlightened by the Buddha's name.World Honored One!If this sutra is upheld, read, and recited, it may be given a speech or teaching for him.If you are writing by yourself or if you are teaching others to write, be respectful and respectful, use all kinds of flowers, incense, apply incense, apply incense, and burn incense.Flower garlands, necklaces, flags, canopies, and musical instruments are used as offerings, and they are made into bags of five colors.Sweep the clean place, lay a high seat and use it as a safe place.At that time, the four heavenly kings, their retinues, and countless other heavenly beings came to the place to provide support and protection.World Honored One, if there are people who can uphold and uphold this sutra treasure in places where it is popular, and because of the merits and merits of the original vows of the Buddha, Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata, and his famous name, he should know this place, and he will no longer die violently, and he will no longer be the evil ghosts and gods that rob his essence; Suppose that what has been taken away can be restored to its original state, with physical and mental peace and contentment.

The Buddha told Manjushri: So it is!So!As you said.Manjushri, if there are good men and women with pure faith who wish to make offerings to the World Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata, they should first build an image of that Buddha, place it on a pure seat, and place it in a safe place.Scatter all kinds of flowers.Burn all kinds of incense.Decorate the place with various banners and flags.For seven days and seven nights, observe the eight-point fast, eat clean food, take baths with clean fragrance, and wear clean clothes. You should have a mind free of dirt and turmoil, a mind free of anger and harm, and have a mind of benefit, happiness, compassion, joy, and equality for all sentient beings, and drum music. Sing praises and go right around the Buddha statue.You should again remember the merits of the Tathagata's original vows, read and recite this sutra, think about its meaning, and give lectures.Ask for whatever you please, and everything will come true. Ask for longevity and you will get longevity.

If someone suddenly has a nightmare and sees evil appearances, strange birds may gather, or all kinds of strange things may appear in the place where they live.If this person respectfully makes offerings to the World Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata with all his wonderful tools, all the bad dreams, evil appearances, and all other inauspicious things will disappear and he will not be in danger.There may be dangers such as water and fire, poisonous swords, evil elephants, tigers, wolves, bears, venomous snakes and scorpions, centipedes, centipedes, mosquitoes and flies. If you can sincerely remember the Buddha and make respectful offerings to him, all fears will be liberated.If other countries invade and thieves rebel, remembering and respecting the Tathagata, they will all be liberated.

Again, Manjusri, if there are good men and women who have pure faith, even if they are completely gone and have no other affairs in the world, they should only return to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha with one mind, and accept and observe the forbidden precepts.If there are five precepts, ten precepts, four hundred precepts for a bodhisattva, 250 precepts for a bicu, and five hundred precepts for a nun.In what you receive, you may be damaged and may fall into the lower realms.If you can recite the Buddha's name with all your heart and make offerings respectfully, you will definitely not be reborn in the three lower realms.There may be a woman who suffers extreme pain when she is about to give birth. If she can sincerely pay homage to the Tathagata and make offerings to him, all her suffering will be eliminated.The child born will be of good status, correct in appearance and appearance, happy to be seen, strong and intelligent, safe and free of illness, and nothing inhuman to rob him of his essence.

At that time, the World-Honored One said to Ananda: Do you believe that I praise the merits of the World-Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata?

Ananda said in vain: The Great Virtuous Lord!I have spoken the Sutra to the Tathagata, so there will be no doubts.So what?All the actions of the Tathagata's body, speech and mind are all pure.World Honored One!This sun and moon wheel can cause you to fall; the King of Miao Gao Mountain can make you tilt; it is the same as what the Buddhas said.World Honored One!There are sentient beings who do not have the root of faith and who hear about the profound practices of Buddhas and think like this: How can they obtain the merits and victories just by reciting the name of Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata?Due to this unbelief, he will be reincarnated and slandered. He will spend a long night losing great benefits and happiness, falling into various evil realms, and wandering around endlessly.

The Buddha told Ananda: Those sentient beings who hear the name of the World-Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata and uphold it with sincerity will not have any doubts and fall into the evil realm, there will be no place for them.Ananda.This is what all Buddhas do profoundly.It’s hard to understand.Can you bear it now?You should know that they are all the power of the Tathagata.Ananda!All the sravakas and bodhisattvas who have not ascended to the earth can not understand it truthfully, except for the bodhisattvas who have been attached to it throughout their lives.Ananda!The human body is rare, and among the three treasures, faith, respect, and respect are also rare.Hearing the name of the World-Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata, I became more troubled.Ananda!That Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata has countless bodhisattva practices, countless skillful methods, and countless vast vows. If I were to speak widely for one calamity or more than one calamity, the calamity could be quickly ended. That Buddha's vows and skillful methods would be nothing. All.

At that time, there was a Bodhisattva Mahasattva in the crowd, named Salvation. He stood up from his seat, raised his right shoulder, put his right knee on the ground, bowed and put his palms together, and said to the Buddha: Great Virtue, World Honored One!When the image turns around, there are sentient beings who are suffering from various diseases. They are chronically ill and thin, unable to eat or drink, their throats and lips are dry, and all directions are dark. Their death forms appear before them, surrounded by their parents, relatives, friends, and knowledge, weeping and weeping.However, he himself, lying in his own place, saw the Yan Demon Envoy and led his spiritual consciousness to come before the Yan Demon King.However, all sentient beings have a co-born god.Whatever he does, whether it is a crime or a blessing, write it all down in writing and give it to King Yan Magic.At that time, the king questioned the person, calculated what he had done, and punished him according to his sins and blessings.At that time, if the patient, relatives or knowledge can help him take refuge with the Buddha, the Buddha of Laminated Light, Medicine Master, please ask all the monks to read this sutra, light a seven-tiered lamp, and hang a five-color life-extending sacred banner. Perhaps there is a place where his consciousness can be restored. , as in a dream, you see it clearly.Or after seven days, or 21 days, or 35 days, or 49 days.When this consciousness returns, it is like waking up from a dream, remembering and knowing the good and bad deeds, and the consequences of the deeds. You can see the consequences of the deeds by yourself. Therefore, even if your life is in trouble, you will not commit any evil deeds.Therefore, good men and women with pure faith should accept and uphold the name of Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata, and make respectful offerings to him according to their ability.

At that time, Ananda asked the Bodhisattva Salvation: Good man, why should I respectfully offer to the World Honored Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata, the Life-Continuing Banners and Lamps, and how can I make them?The Bodhisattva of Salvation said: Great Virtue!If there is a sick person who wants to be free from the pain of illness, he should observe the eight-part fast for seven days and seven nights.You should provide food, drink, and other supplies as you can to support the monk.At six o'clock day and night, worship and make offerings to the World Honored Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata, and read and recite this sutra 49 times.Burn 49 lamps and make seven images of the Tathagata. In front of each image, seven lamps are placed in front of each image. Each lamp is as big as a wheel. For 49 days, the light will be endless.Make five-color flags, 49 hands long.Miscellaneous sentient beings should be released to 49.You can avoid excessive danger and misfortune and not be held by evil spirits.

Again, Ananda!If a Kshatriya initiates kings and others, when disasters occur, it is said that it is difficult for the people to suffer from diseases, invasions from other countries, rebellion within oneself, strange changes in the stars, eclipses of the sun and moon, winds and rains at unexpected times, and no rain at the right time. .The king of Kshatriya initiations should then develop compassion for all sentient beings and forgive all ties.According to the method of making offerings as mentioned before, make offerings to the World Honored Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata.Due to these good roots and the power of the Tathagata's original vow, the country's borders will be stable, the wind and rain will be favorable, the crops will be ripe, and all sentient beings will be free from illness and happy.There is no violence or evil in his country.When gods such as Yaaksha annoy sentient beings, all evil aspects will disappear.And the Kshatriya initiation kings, etc., will have their lifespan, color, power, and freedom from disease all improved.

Ananda!If the emperor, the concubine, the prince, the prince.The ministers and assistants, the beautiful ladies in the palace, the officials and the common people are all suffering from illness and are suffering from misfortune. They should also build five-color sacred flags, burn lamps to keep the lights on, release life, scatter colorful flowers, and burn famous incense to cure the disease. With healing, all difficulties will be liberated.

At that time Ananda asked the Bodhisattva Salvation: Good man!Why can I gain more after I have exhausted my life?The Bodhisattva of Salvation said: Great Virtue!Don’t you hear that the Tathagata said that there are nine deaths?Therefore, I urge you to build life-extending flags and lanterns to cultivate various merits, so that you can live your life to the fullest without experiencing any suffering.Ananda asked: What does Jiuheng mean?The Bodhisattva of Salvation said: If there are sentient beings whose illness is mild, but there is no medicine or medical treatment, if they encounter a doctor again and are given other than medicine, they should not die, but they will die suddenly.Also, those who believe in evil spirits, heretics and evil teachers in the world, falsely talk about misfortunes and blessings, will be moved by fear, and their minds will not be correct. They will seek misfortunes through divination, kill all kinds of living beings, interpret gods, call out monsters, pray for blessings, and hope to prolong life, but in the end they will not be able to do so. have to.Foolish and deluded, believing in evil but seeing wrongly, he died violently.Entering hell, there is no time to come out, this is called the beginning of hell.Both of them were killed by Wang Fazhi.The third one hunts and plays, indulges in sexual immorality and alcoholism, is unrestrained, behaves inhumanely, and robs his spirit.The fourth one is burned by fire, the fifth one is drowned in water, the sixth one is eaten by various evil beasts, the seventh one falls off a cliff, and the eighth one is harmed by poison, prayers, curses, ghosts, etc. .Ninth, those who are trapped by hunger and thirst, unable to eat or drink, die suddenly.This is for the Tathagata to briefly explain that there are nine types of accidental death, and there are countless other types of death, which are difficult to describe in detail.

We vow to bear the burden of all sentient beings, do righteousness, benefit, and bring peace and happiness. If this sutra is circulated in any village, city, country, or idle forest, For those who may receive the name of Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata again and respect and support them, we, their relatives, will protect them and free them from all sufferings. Those who have wishes and requests shall be fulfilled, or those who may be ill and seek salvation, you should also read this. Recite this sutra, tie my name with a five-color thread, and then untie the knot when I get my wish.
