Hogwarts: The Book of Laws.

Chapter 24: Room of Requirement

"Honeymoon grass is a very rare plant."

"It is very delicate both in its juvenile and mature stages."

"It cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, nor can it withstand too much wind or rain, so it is only suitable for cultivation indoors."

"Its leaves will curl up when mature, but every night at seven o'clock, they will stretch out and release a fragrance that helps relieve fatigue and speed up thinking."

In the herbal medicine class, Professor Sprout was explaining the properties and effects of honeymoon grass to everyone in the greenhouse.

This class was taught by Hufflepuff and Slytherin together. They stood on opposite sides of the greenhouse without speaking to each other.

Arthur listened while playing with a small pot of seeds in front of him. This kind of seed is light green and hidden in the soil. If he accidentally touches it with his hand, it will shake slightly and look very scared.

"Don't be afraid, be good, I won't hurt you, come on~"

As if Arthur's words had an effect, the vibration of the small seed decreased. Arthur took this opportunity to quickly drip the culture liquid into a slightly opened gap on the side of the seed.

"Excellent work, Arthur! Five points for Hufflepuff!" Professor Sprout said happily, "Did you see it? The movements must be gentle. The seed on the outside is its protective shell. There is no use in dripping it, it is very spiritual and can sense whether everyone has malicious intentions, so don’t scare it!”

Everyone else looked at Arthur with admiration, mainly because the seed was too timid and kept shaking, unable to drip the culture liquid in.

Clydia, who was opposite, also glanced at Arthur with a look of disdain. Then, she tried to imitate Arthur's tone and communicate with the seed to make it feel her kindness.

"Hello, little seed, maybe you don't know me well, but I have no ill intentions, I just want to help you." Clydia whispered to the seed.

As a result, the seed stopped shaking, but it directly closed the slightly opened gap tightly!

"What did you do?! Miss Burst?" Professor Sprout keenly noticed this situation and asked loudly.

"I didn't do anything, Professor, I was just communicating with it." Clydia looked confused.

"You must have scared it! Only when it senses danger will it completely close the shell of the seed!" Professor Sprout frowned and said, "Ten points from Slytherin!"

"I..."

Clydia opened her mouth and looked at the seed in front of her, she was so angry that she couldn't speak.

"Pfft..."

Arthur couldn't help but laugh.

Clydia gave him a fierce look and continued to play with the 'scared seed' in a depressed manner. She can guarantee that she has absolutely no malice, and it must be this seed that does! !

Herbology class ended with a burst of laughter among the Hufflepuff students, as Professor Sprout hinted that whoever could grow honeymoon grass to maturity this term would be given it as a gift.

This is exactly what Arthur wants, because he found that the aroma of honeymoon grass is very helpful for meditation, allowing him to calm down faster and relieve fatigue.

If there is a honeymoon plant placed in the dormitory, then he can condense the spell faster, which is why he is so focused on this lesson.

After leaving the greenhouse, since all his roommates were still asleep in the school hospital, Cedric and Nesta were taking classes elsewhere, and Arthur had no one to talk to, so he simply chatted with other Hufflepuff students. After saying hello, I was ready to go back and study the "Detailed Explanation of Ancient Runes".

When he came back from the library last night, he only flipped through it hastily and found that the so-called ancient magic text was not actually a mysterious thing, and the book was not a peerless secret book.

Ancient magic script is more like a symbol, a kind of hieroglyph, just like the oracle bone inscriptions of the Celestial Dynasty.

At the dawn of civilization, people intuitively expressed what they saw in order to better record some natural phenomena.

Ancient magic scripts have very few root words, probably only a few hundred, but when combined into phrases, each word expresses a different meaning.

Arthur felt that if any big boss really wanted to use ancient magic texts to communicate, there would definitely be a lot of misunderstandings. For example, if you asked the other party if you had eaten today, others would probably interpret you as cursing, and then the two would fight. stand up.

Moreover, the pronunciation of the ancient magic script is very convoluted, which is very unreasonable for the European writing form which is derived from the "xiangyin" form.Because the ancient magic script itself is a 'pictogram', which is the same form as the Celestial Dynasty script.

It's like someone deliberately forced a kind of 'hieroglyphic' characters to annotate them with 'ideophones', making it impossible for people to understand, and the difficulty of learning it will naturally increase exponentially.

Arthur climbed up the stairs to the eighth floor of the castle. He walked through the long corridor and came to a portrait of a 'Troll beating the stupid Barnabas with a club'.

He came back from the library last night, and after experiencing the incident where his roommate fell asleep, he realized that the dormitory might not be safe.

If someone discovers this "Detailed Explanation of Ancient Runes", they will definitely be confused as to why a first-year student would be interested in such an ancient rune that is of little use in the eyes of others.

So Arthur thought about it and finally decided to put the book in a safe place. If there is a place in Hogwarts that is least likely to be discovered, of course it is the Room of Requirement!

Arthur walked back and forth in front of the wall, thinking silently about "the best place to hide things". He walked back and forth three times. Suddenly a door opened in the wall, and Arthur opened the door and went in.

There wasn't much space inside, except for the empty floor, which was just a huge safe.

The safe used an extremely complex combination lock, and was also cast with an anti-locking spell. Anyway, Arthur was very satisfied with this place last night. His hand continued to pull the mechanical lock plate, and the safe opened, and he placed Take out the book inside.

Then I just sat on the floor and started watching.

The author of this book is unknown. It was published very early and was written in the Middle Ages.

There are detailed annotations throughout the book, such as phonetic symbols and the definition of each root word.

However, the history of ancient magic texts is not explained.

Arthur had a headache. He really didn't find any connection between ancient magic texts and laws. Its purpose seemed to be just to let people know that there was such a useless course in the magic world.

But in the Holy Knights Association, if I am really exposed because I don’t understand the ancient magic script, then it can be shown that it is indeed related to learning the laws.

Arthur stared at the ring on his hand in fascination. Under normal circumstances, this ring would react when he had something in mind, but now it was motionless.

His thoughts drifted back to last night's Disappearance Curse. The four talismans corresponded to four powers, and the magic effects cast by using different talismans would be different. So the Disappearance Curse should originally belong to the material system?
