Hogwarts: The Book of Laws.

Chapter 49: Factions of the Holy Knights

dark forest.

Also known as the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts.

This is located on the edge of Hogwarts Castle.

There are many ancient magical creatures living inside, such as unicorns and centaurs.

Arthur, Clydia and Barebone were walking along a path.

Surrounded by trees with strange shapes and dense growth, the light from the outside can only shine through the branches and leaves.

There is no sunshine all year round, making this place full of darkness and humidity.

The further inside, the already dark environment became more and more difficult to see.

From time to time, Arthur could still hear inexplicable noises from unknown creatures around him.

"Didn't you say it's on the outer edge?" Claudia finally couldn't help it anymore, "Why do you still have to go in?"

"You have to know that the Black Forest is very large, and the outer areas are enough for us to walk for a long time." Barebone said.

"I've had enough!" Clydia took out her wand and said, "Lightsing!"

Arthur looked at her wand with interest, he was now sensitive to the spell.

As a result, as soon as the light on Clydia's wand lit up, Barebone waved it out.

"What are you doing?" Clydia stared, "If we go any further, we won't be able to see anything."

"Light may attract unknown creatures, especially in this environment." Baribone said calmly, "Darkness is often a kind of protection."

When Clydia heard these words, she shuddered slightly and said, "What kind of creatures could there be? This is Hogwarts."

"I don't know, everything is possible." At this time, Baribone looked at the surrounding environment and said, "Okay, it's right here."

Several people stopped at the same time, and Arthur heard Clydia seem relieved.

"Do you want to work together, or on separate sides?" Barrybone pointed to both sides of the path.

"Together!"

"separate!"

Clydia and Arthur said at the same time, and then they looked at each other.

"I don't mean we have to be together, I mean," Cledia opened her mouth and explained, "for efficiency!"

"Wouldn't it be more efficient to work separately?" Arthur raised his eyebrows, "Or...are you scared? Don't dare to be alone?"

"Shut up!" Clydia said viciously, "I'm thinking about you! Lest you, a Muggle, be taken away by wild beasts!"

"Thank you, I'm not afraid!" Arthur mocked, "Miss Bursted comes from a famous family, so she must not be afraid of mere creatures in the black forest."

"Of course! This is all just childishness!" Claudia forced herself to calm down. No matter how scared she was, she couldn't give up.

"Okay, it seems you two have decided."

Barebone had a headache. Before the two of them continued to laugh at each other, he interrupted them and said:

“As I said before, clean up the clutter around you. If you can’t tell which things are toxic, then clean them all.

At the same time, don't hurt these trees. They are all very rare species. There may be Bowtruckles living on the trees. Don't scare them.

You can use spells when cleaning, and you don't have to use them if you don't want to. Anyway, in two hours, you have to complete the work around half a mile. "

Arthur nodded, indicating that he understood.

Clydia glanced at him, snorted coldly, and said, "Only Muggles don't use spells and like to use their hands!"

"I hope you will be careful on the tree when cleaning. In addition to the Bowtruckle, there may also be poisonous spiders!" Arthur sneered.

Barrybone began to have another headache and shouted, "Get to work!"

Clydia turned and walked into the woods without looking back, as if to prove that she was not afraid at all.

Arthur glanced at Baribone. Now, they were the only two people on the path.

"Professor, shall I go to work first?" Arthur asked tentatively.

Baribone shook his head and said, "Is your spell formed?"

Arthur was stunned. In fact, he was ready for a showdown. After all, his secret had been discovered, and he expected to have an in-depth conversation with Baribone during this confinement.

But who knew Baribone could be so direct.

"Don't worry, although I haven't figured out Dumbledore's intentions so far, he is not in school now and our conversation is safe." Barebone explained.

Arthur thought for a moment and said: "There are currently nine lines, and they are still some distance away from being formed."

Then, he hesitated and said: "I don't understand, you..."

"Don't understand why I want to hide it for you?" Barrybone continued what he said.

"Yes."

"In your impression, do all people have a crazy pursuit of rings and laws?" Barebone did not answer directly, but asked a question.

Arthur was noncommittal.

Barebone smiled and continued: "That is true, but the methods are different. Don't confuse the Holy Knights with the other world."

"What's the difference?" Arthur asked.

"The Holy Knights are part of the other world, but there is an essential difference between the two." Barebone's expression became serious and he said,

"The Holy Knights are all former owners of the ring. You should know that once the ring is lost, it cannot be owned again. So it is destined that most of them do not have much demand for the ring."

Barrybone lowered his voice, "What they need is something else!"

"Horcrux!" Arthur said calmly.

"Yes." Baribone was a little surprised, "It seems you have learned about it from other channels."

Arthur nodded and said, "So people outside the Holy Knights are the main force fighting for the ring?"

"That's about it." Baribone continued, "But the Holy Knights are also divided into many factions. Two of them are also actively looking for the ring, not to regain possession of it, but for other purposes."

"What kind of purpose?" Arthur asked with a frown.

"I don't know. I only know that those people have terrifying power." Barebone shook his head and said, "For example, the group headed by Toad, they received you when you first entered the Holy Knights."

When Arthur heard the word 'toad', he wanted to say that he was Nico Flamel!

But out of caution, he still asked: "Do you know the identity of Toad?"

"Everyone knows!" Barebone smiled with unknown meaning, "Nicolas Flamel! He has never concealed his identity."

"No one is chasing him?!" Arthur said in shock.

"Of course, but he has lived well for hundreds of years. This is enough to prove his ability!" Baribone spread his hands.

Arthur was a little confused and frowned and said, "But why would he do this? Just to prove that he has strength?!"

"He is not that boring. Although I don't know the specific purpose, I guess that he is trying to attract attention on the surface to facilitate other people's activities in secret." Barebone said thoughtfully.

Arthur savored his words carefully, and then said after a moment: "What about the other faction? Opposing them?"

"The other faction is extremely hidden, and I haven't gotten any information so far." Baribone said, "But I know that there is someone who has been frantically looking for clues about that faction!"

"Who?"

"Gellert Grindelwald!"
